Mullin's 1847 is in itself a fascinating museum plus s fine dining restaurant experience! I throughly enjoyed a 8oz Ribeye steak with shrimp that was accompanied by some fantastic mashed potatoes! I sat inside first then opted to move out to their patio on a perfect outdoor weather day. My waitress was delightful and very helpful. The whole experience was very pleasant and a perfect 5/5 stars

My buddy had the meatloaf. I took a sample and I'm getting it next time I come back!

We stopped in for dinner on our way back from Cass WV to the DC metro area. The hostess was great, seating us right away and then reseating us on her own initiative when some little kids got noisy. The food was great. I had the open face turkey special, since Thanksgiving is coming... Other members of my group had the meatloaf, which was amazing... Meatloaf is one of those dishes that tells you all you need to know about a cook and kitchen - and this set a new standard. And to top it off, they had apple pie... so this road trip was a complete success.

We were hesitant to try this place, but we were so glad that we did! The restaurant has such interesting history, friendly service, and delicious food! We took photos of the bread rolls "stamped" with "1847." They even had a nice drink list! Moorefield is a tiny little mountain town and Mullin's 1847 makes it a must-try if you're in the area!

Awesome Rustic Atmosphere! It was busy when we arrived around lunchtime on a Sunday and they got a table cleaned and seated us quickly. Friendly staff, big menu, & delicious food!

Hit or miss on the food, sometimes it's better than others. Cheese wontons are always good.

Now on to the best part, they food... We had some perfectly prepared Stixs, pot and chicken, as an appetizer. They were had shrimp and crab stir fried rice, Vietnamese Pho, two crispy chicken curry dishes. The food was excellently prepared and full of flavor. The was friendly and attentive.

(5 stars for flavor, 1 star for my wallet's feelings)…read more Dear Cafe Oasis, I want to start by saying I LOVE you. Your flavors? Elite. Your spice game? Immaculate. Your Pad Thai? Genuinely one of the best things I've put in my body. Your PRICES? Sir. MA'AM. EXCUSE ME. $26.50 for Pad Thai. Twenty. Six. Fifty. I ordered TWO, blissfully unaware, called it in like a man with a full savings account, and nearly needed medical attention when they said "$53 please." I looked at that bag like it should come with a deed to the restaurant. Now -- they told me it was HUGE, loaded with meat and shrimp. And listen, I believed them. I had hope. I had FAITH. What I did not have was more than 4 shrimp. Four. I've seen more shrimp on a cracker at a gas station happy hour. The chicken? A "scant amount" is being generous -- I'm talking a cameo, not a starring role. I travel for work. I eat carry-out for a living. I am a SEASONED VETERAN of the noodle arts. Pad Thai across this great nation runs $14.95 to $18.95. I would've happily paid $20 and left a tip with a smile. I would've paid $22 and told my coworkers about you. I MIGHT have even survived $24 with therapy. But $26.50 had me waking up the next morning in a cold sweat, staring at the ceiling, doing the math on four shrimp. Cafe Oasis -- I love your soul. I love your food. Please, for the love of all that is holy and saucy, love my bank account back. Bring those prices down and you'll have a customer for life. Keep them here and I'll be crying into my homemade, budget Pad Thai wondering what could have been.

A group of 16 of us booked for the weekend and I honestly can't think of enough great things to say. Seriously, everything about this place was AMAZING! I organized the trip, so I got to work with one of the owners, Jesse, to get everything set up. He was helpful, responsive, accommodating, and really kind. I organize a lot for my friends and myself, and this was one of the easiest. Upon arrival we were checked in by the other owner, Gary, who immediately made us feel like we were at home. He gave us a wonderful tour of the property and told us everything we needed to know for a wonderful stay. This property is nestled in the hills of WV and the views are STUNNING! Every space and room is beautifully appointed, really leaning into the upscale rustic vibe you'd expect in a mountain retreat. So many beautiful nooks and crannies to sit and read or play games or just nap. The pool and hot tub are gorgeous and Logan at the pool bar will take amazing care of you! They provide a complimentary breakfast of freshly cooked eggs, meats, and biscuits/scones. The lunch and dinner menus are varied and everything we had was delicious. Our servers, Rain (spelling ??) and Angie were stellar and the ambience was just perfect. Every single one of us left feeling refreshed and we were all sad to leave. Do yourself a favor and make the trek out to Lost River and treat yourself. This place is amazing and I'm already planning my next trip here with my partner.

A winding road through a rocky valley with a mountain stream that flows to the Lost River. Then you turn into the Guesthouse and the stunning main building and cute cabins are so perfectly placed on the property with lovely landscaping. Walk into the main lobby to be greeted by Gary, one of the owners. He was super pleasant and took us on a tour of the property pointing out the dining room, bar, pool (although it was still closed for winter), hot tub and sauna, gym, multiple media rooms, game rooms and lounge areas, and then our room in the Hobson Cabin. The room was well appointed and clean. The shower was beautiful and had great water pressure and temperature. The balcony had wonderful views of the parks close by. A country breakfast is served daily at 9 and is a great start to the day. The dining room is open in the evening for drinks and dinner with a menu for anyone! Gary and Jesse are always close by if you ever need anything and make you feel most welcome. We can't wait to visit again in the summer so we can make full use of the pool and enjoy some nearby hiking!
