This place has re-opened. Absolutely delicious food! Chopped salad was full of interesting flavors and everything was so fresh. BLT was on point. French fries with malted vinegar? Yes, please! And best cappuccino and pastry for dessert.

Excellent food, service. As oasis of post-industrial coffee shop ambience like Austin or Richmond. But the welcome is still that small town charm.

Promotional art on building next door. Only visible if you are driving from the east on US50/Main Street.

Pleasant, artsy and somewhat quirky cafe offering sandwiches, salads and baked goods for breakfast and lunch. Arrived on a non-Potomac Eagle train weekday and found the lunch crowd steady and seemingly local people. We were the only obvious tourists for 45 minutes. Sandwiches were tasty, well made and a decent value for the generous size. Also got a chewy chocolate cookie which was very good.

Brand new business with everything done right. No ready made caned food here, everything is made to order in house with quality ingredients. The pastries and bread made from scratch everyday. You better come hungry because you will want everything on the menu!!! Gluten free items if you choose. They also offer locally made items to include pottery, candles, soaps and art. Super clean and well restored 100 year old building with a friendly staff. Highly recommend, a must stop if you are in the area. We can't wait to visit agin soon. Terry & Becky Long

We stopped at this lovely cafe for lunch. The food was excellent and it came quickly. Hubby and I had soup, sandwiches and dessert. Everything was delicious! Sandwiches were very big and I LOVED the vegetable beef soup! The staff were nice and it was clean and homey. I wish we had a place like this near home. (Florida) They had coffee, candles and soap for sale. Highly recommend this cute cafe for breakfast or lunch.

This cafe just recently opened up (04/19/2024) and I visited it myself from Maryland. I ordered a 16 ounce skim milk latte and a BLT sandwich. Both the presentation and the taste of food and latte were great. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the cafe was nicely decorated. I can only recommend this cafe, I will definitely visit in the future. I was even able to meet the co-owners of the cafe.

This place perfectly personifies the spirit of Thomas, WV, and maybe even a little bit of Davis mixed in there too. The building is historic with tons of character, located right at the end of the loop as if you can't exit town without paying homage. The inside has soooo much character and is decorated perfectly in a mad hatter style. We often stop here for ice cream during our wanderings of Wild Wonderful West Virginia but have been known to get food from time to time as well. I would say that everything is honestly priced. They aren't trying to get rich and they aren't trying to rip off the community, just serve it and make a living and keep the doors open. The food is on the cheaper side and the quality matches. I don't think they're after any Michelin stars but more interested in just feeding the people. Service is on par with the attitude of the building and blended well. Just enough at just the right time. You might have to swap a few chairs from one table to the next to find the right combination for your party as I think all of the chairs in there are different. They also serve the community by hosting music, up to 300 events per year according to their website. That's one of the only times I skipped the fiddle when I was passing through was when they had a band with a cover and we just wanted food. We wanted to sit down and eat but were told we had to pay if we stayed but could take the food to go or outside without the entrance fee. I think we just went over to Picnic instead which is also a great local spot! See you next summer fiddle!

That led us straight to Heidi's Bakery & Cafe, and honestly? Total home run. There's a sign hanging on the wall that says: "Homemade with love and butter." That pretty much tells you everything you need to know. You can taste the care and quality in everything they make. We ordered the BLTs on homemade sourdough, and they were absolute perfection --thick, delicious bacon, crisp beautiful lettuce, sweet tomatoes, and sourdough that deserved its own standing ovation. A truly excellent BLT is a thing of beauty, and Heidi's version was gorgeous. The french fries had some kind of secret seasoning situation happening that made them completely addictive. Every bite somehow got better. And then the desserts. Cupcakes. Cookies. Pastries. Basically a direct shipment from heaven itself. The kind of bakery case that makes you start negotiating with your own self-control and losing immediately. If you're exploring the mountains and backroads around Cathedral State Park, this place is 100% worth the stop. Warm, homemade comfort food done right.
