The white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies are also a 10/10 I highly recommend both of them!!! I came from out of town (Williamsburg) for a basketball camp at JMU. I visited this establishment and was met with poor customer service and an exasperated attitude. Upon arrival I was not greeted to the point that I actually asked was the business opened I was met with a nonchalant "yes" and as I started looking at the cookies I was told only chocolate chunk was available. I said that was fine and then asked with a "poker face" If I wanted the regular or mini sized. I went to pay and was told "NO CASH"!!! There was no sign up and I was not informed before attempting to make a purchase. I felt so unwelcome. Man I must say I am highly impressed as I am absolutely obsessed with cookies!!! Best cookie spot in Harrisonburg. I came here late night as they stay open till 3 am. They have a nice selection of traditional and deluxe cookies, as well as a good selection of ice cream. They keep all their cookies warm, so you get them quick and warm and melt in your mouth soft. I simply cannot which one is my favorite as all of them were so delicious. I wish I could just binge on all their cookies all day long. The m&m cookies were fantastic, but the customer service deserved 1 star. It's sad that one person can make a 5 star rating turn into a 2. I had never been here before, so I wanted to order 6 chocolate chunk and 6 m&m. I felt sooo rushed to make the decision even though we were the only ones in the store. Natasha didn't even apologize when she said there were only 4 m&m cookies left. Bummer, but I chose two random cookies to complete my order. It felt like she snatched my card when I handed it to her. Whoever I spoke to said that my driver had just gotten back from the last delivery and my cookies would be here shortly. Then another 45 minutes pass so I called again. The next customer service rep I spoke to told me the exact same thing and then added that there was only one driver tonight- I was understanding and they assured me my cookies were on their way. After another half hour I called and canceled my order. It had been 2 hours and 15 minutes since I placed my order. Typically I love this place, however yesterday was Valentines day, and my boyfriend surprise ordered me a cookie cake that was supposed to get to my apartment at 9:20pm (thats when I get home from class). They called me at 9 (ruining the surprise), and said they were so behind on deliveries that they wouldn't be able to get to my place until after 1am! I will not be ordering from Insomnia cookies ever again. i placed my order online and everything went smooth.. i was excited because this was my first time ordering from them! we waited for 45 minutes and nothing.. i figured wait another 15 or 20 before i call.. still nothing. I call the store to cancel because i just wanted to go to bed.. but they tell me the driver is just now leaving.. so we wait 15 more minutes and the driver pulls up in front of our apartment building.. and he sits there.. and sits there and sits there for about 10 minutes.. we weren't sure if we were supposed to go down and get them ourselves?? and then i get a call from the driver who then hangs up as soon as i pick up the phone so at this point, we just go down and get them ourselves. driver was nice but there was no apology for the delay and no explanation of why he sat there for 10 minutes.. whatever i have my cookies. i open the box and the cookies are all over the place like the box was thrown around, whatever cookies are cookies. i pick one up and it's hard as a rock and cold.. never again will i order from them. ‍ read more
