Came here for the first time with the fam while on vacation. We ordered the mountain for $20 and ice cream nachos for $10. Total came out to around $33.
What's hot:
- Flavors. Pretty good variety! Some of the July flavors included glazed donut, s'mores, raspberry, strawberry, cotton candy, brownie, peanut butter (including variations of peanut butter), etc... We were definitely impressed with their choices and some of their flavors were so yummy, we asked for them both in the mountain and the nachos. Haha...
- Price. For the amount of ice cream that comes with the mountain and ice cream nachos for the price they charge (including the toppings), it's excellent value for money. We received more ice cream than what we would've received and paid for individual cones.
- Portions. The mountain comes with 8 scoops of ice cream, a syrup, whipped cream, and however many toppings (out of the 8 toppings) they have. The ice cream nachos come with 3 scoops of ice cream on top of broken waffle cones (ie: the chips). The huge bowl for the mountain is bigger than the size of a human head! They definitely don't skimp on anything in the mountain or the nachos. Their menu states the mountain can be shared between 4-8 people and the nachos can be shared between 2-4 people. Each scoop of ice cream was at least the size of an adult fist, if not larger. We asked for all the toppings, including the whipped cream. Everyone in our group, which was a group of 9, was able to partake in whatever topping we wanted.
- Free samples. Always helpful to be able to get free samples to help you better decide what flavors to order. Not only can you ask for free samples, they're generous in their samples. For example, their staff made sure to scoop certain parts of the ice cream that have mix-ins or whatever when giving you the samples.
- Customer service. There were 2 teenage girls working there when we arrived. Both were friendly, helpful, and nice. They answered all our questions, were prompt in their service, and helpful in handing out the free samples. They made sure to give us enough spoons for our group, small bowls and cups, and napkins. Definitely no complaints.
- Layout. There's a small seating section outside and their inside is a little larger. Inside, there are a few tables, including a couple of kid size tables, with kid size chairs. Definitely family friendly.
- Location. Pretty decent and convenient location. It's only a few minutes away from where we were staying. There's also a trampoline park next door and a huge park a little bit behind the small plaza. The park is definitely helpful to take the little ones to play off their sugar high after the ice cream!
What's not:
- Health and safety. During this time of the pandemic, health and safety regulations keep fluctuating. To be fair, it's not always easy to make sense of what health standards to follow. However, no one wore masks and it wasn't clear what, if any, health standards to follow. None of their staff wore masks and there weren't any signs to help customers understand what standard to follow.
