Prices are wrong and they ask for a tip! I normally love this place but the quality was not the same! It had ice chunks in the peanut butter where it refrozed! Also I have never had it melt lover the place ! Certainly wasn't an enjoyable experience! We better luck next time!

Staff is friendly and knowledgable. The line is always out the door in the summer but they still take the time to make sure you get what you want with unlimited samples. The flavors are rotating and always so delicious. I love sitting outside during the weekends.

Such friendly people!! We really loved it here! The gelato was excellent! Also don't forget to get a few free samples! And if you go on Wednesday! You get a free waffle cone upgrade!

Amazing!!! I had a not so great dinner and came here and they had exactly what I wanted and it tasted amazing. Also the staff was pleasant and provided great service.

The people at the gelato counter were very polite. I highly recommend getting the blackberry raspberry sorbet.

So welcome, so inclusive, so delicious, so fun- get your sweet fix here! They also have espresso (seasonally). The staff was great and even playful in helping us decide what scoop flavors we wanted. I ultimately landed on brownie and their mint. My husband fell in love with the espresso. We were both happy by the time we reached the bottom of our compostable bowls. They also have milkless sorbets, including a dark chocolate!

This gelato place advertises quality ingredients, and offers a great flavor variety. Some of the flavors are fruity, some with nuts or candy. Some are more classically European, and some are clearly more geared towards Southern Virginia. Ordering a cup still got me a little waffle cone piece, and of the three flavors I sampled, all were excellent. Getting chocolate in sorbet form actually allows the taste of chocolate to come through more purely; vegans won't be disappointed with this flavor. The dairy flavors I got included a matcha (which the label explained was green tea, which some might not have known) which was a very pure flavor and if anything needed a little variety or more mixing with the other flavors than I did, and a peppermint bark, which was a very sweet candy cane flavor with noticeable chocolate bits as well. Given that an actual banana split cost twice as much as the generous cup I got, I doubt I could have finished it, but I bet it would have been great. The flavor was as good as any high-end gelato place in an urban area, and I was quite happy to have found it here.

The best gelato you'll ever have. A god-send in the service industry, with staff who really care about your experience and love helping you. Cute, relaxed atmosphere - 24 delicious rotating flavors - (seasonal availability or just themed depending on the time you go!) fresh, handmade waffle cones - homemade toppings - beautiful specialties. Give it a try any time, and let the staff recommend flavors if you're not sure what you would like. They also have a little something for everyone - including options for Vegan, Dairy free, Gluten free, diabetic safe, nut safe, etc. Just make sure you ask ahead of time!

This place started around 1952. The order was given from a touch tone phone at the table to the front counter. We thought tnat some of the younger customers would not know how to use a dial telephone. Drive through service is also available, as it has been since the 1950's. Ordered a burger basket (burger and fries) $8., a chicken tender basket (five chicken tenders with fries) $11.50, onion rings, chocolate malted milkshake, chocolate ice cream dish, We got the food in about fifteen minutes brought to our table. Very reasonable. The 2 oz burger that I received was worst of all the items that I had. It was tasteless and reminded me of a smalll burger at Burger King. 1.5 stars. do not recommend it. We hope that the recipe for the burger would be improved. The crinkle cut French fries were average 3 to 3.5 stars and not plentiful. Could have used more. The onion rings were one of the two great items that we had. They were very good in every way. 4 plus stars. My mallted milk shake was good and the price was reasonable. It was appropriate for a 1950's restaurant. 4 stars. The chicken tenders were large had good taste. 4 stars. Rolls came with the chicken tenders. They were soft and had good taste. 4 stars. The chocolate ice cream, along with the onion rings was the standout best item that we had. 5 stars for the chocolate ice cream. It was creamy with a deep chocolate flavor and the ingredients in it were quality ingredients. Loved it. We enjoyed the good music with the meal. Everyone who worked there was very nice to us, including the manager. We will love to dine there again and hope that it can be soon. Thank you for the nice 1950's style food.

I'm a fan of soft serve ice cream, and the combination of desserts that Willy's offers are amazing. I've tried many different items from Willy's and I have never been disappointed. I am a milkshake fan so that's usually my go-to at any ice cream place. Willy's has a great milkshake. Blended perfectly. Simple and filling, but not overloaded. The prices aren't bad either. Also, if you're a fan of chocolate and peanut butter then try their "peanut butter lovers parfait" with chocolate ice cream. That's usually the item I go for if I don't get a milkshake. They also have a flavor of the week, which they change every Monday. Not in this order, but the flavors are: Strawberry, blueberry, black raspberry, black cherry, lemon, orange, coffee, banana(which is new), and maple(there beginning and ending flavor). They're all great! It's fun to blend some of them with other flavors as well. It's great place to sit around at any time of the day and enjoy a nice cold treat. They do get busy, and they don't have a drive-thru so be prepared to stand for a little bit if they are busy. The staff is really friendly and do their best to get things out efficiently, though. It's unfortunate that their only open for 7 months out the year. I would grab some Willy's ice cream throughout the whole year. Something to look forward to after they close up. I would absolutely recommend Willy's Ice Cream.

The woman working was rather rude. Started yelling because my son licked the inside of the lid bc it was dripping ice cream before we paid. Understood the issue, but she handled it very inappropriately. She Kept calling my son a girl. Then when were about to leave 2 customers come in with a live snake around her neck and go to buy ice cream. The same woman who almost crapped a brick with a bell on it came out from behind the counter and held the snake for a little before returning it to the customer. Snakes, wild and captive, can carry things like salmonella. Seems pretty inappropriate to me considering they do serve food and drink at this establishment. The guy was very friendly, the woman needs to take some customer service classes about how to handle situations and how to speak to people. Also, the no trespassing sign is very inviting.
