They weren't busy, there were open seats supposedly held for reservation but she sat me at a table in a 30 minute timer. I ordered the pancakes which forced me to leave the table and sit at the bar because they supposedly take 45mins to make. Then after waiting all that time they come out saying they forgot to put in my order!!! When the order came out I don't recall the reservation party showing up for the table for one, but then also the pancakes didn't even have an outstanding chai flavor or taste to rave about. While I'm glad I didn't have to pay after waiting over 2hrs, they didn't even offer to compensate for my 45mins wasted if I didn't take the pancakes--they could've offered another item or gift card. I came here to get away in a pretty place for supposed good food and it felt like such a buzz kill.

My first visit to Roze Pony in West Nashville (sister to Cafe Roze in East) and it absolutely lived up to the buzz. I stopped in during their in-between brunch & dinner, which has its very own limited menu. I was solo after a nail appt. next door and the bar was a pleasant experience. I ordered the "Green Eye" mocktail, a bright, refreshing mix of apple and ginger that was perfectly balance, not overly sweet and incredibly crisp. For food, I had the poached shrimp on salad vert with shallot vinaigrette, which was light, fresh, and full of flavor. It felt like the ideal midday bite. What really made the visit memorable, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and their camaraderie and banter with each other was honestly entertaining, it felt like dinner and a comedy show all in one. You could tell the team genuinely enjoys working together, and that energy made the whole space feel warm and welcoming.

Roze Pony is hands down my favorite place to grab breakfast/brunch in the Nashville area; they also happen to have a really good martini-focused happy hour. Breakfast and brunch are better than dinner here, and the menu is a touch different, a slight step above the east location (called Cafe Roze over in east.) Roze Pony is well known for their almost 5-inch high stacked Japanese soufflé pancakes, decadent, light, fluffy, and served with blueberry compote. It may take 30 minutes to make and sell out quickly, but expectations meet the hype, and it's a must-eat dish in Nashville, to me. I love their breakfast/brunch menu overall, though. It's well-rounded, has a good number of healthier options (the warm quinoa bowl is my mom's favorite here) and I think offers something different and more veg-forward than other brunch places in the area. Amazing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and I can never have just one drink at a time. My favorites are all non-alcoholic: the sweet Roze / rose latte, the Green Eye (apple, ginger, served in a high ball), the Green Toddy (like the green eye but hot; truly incredibly) and the tea selection which is from my favorite local producer High Garden. There's always something yummy in the pastry case, and a bite of something sweet or a dessert is a must when I come here. For dinner - the chocolate hazelnut tart they often have in the menu is a must-order. I prefer getting oysters, fries, and crudite at the martini-focused happy hour (actual dinner is a bit hit/miss for me) but the martini happy hour is an incredible deal and they make a wide range of martinis (my favorite being the 50/50, delightful and not overly boozy.) I like their martini's so much, I always go to other restaurants and ask for them to be made the way I know Roze Pony does it with Ford's Gin. Always a banger. Easy parking in the attached lot of a garage next door. You can walk in, but it's much easier to guarantee your spot with a reservation. Friendly, attentive service and helpful staff. Great cozy place to eat breakfast and read solo or come with a friend or two. A Nashville institution, to me, and one that I hope sticks around for a long time.

Went for breakfast on a Saturday morning. I tried to make a reservation but they were blocked online so decided to just walk in. There were only a couple of tables occupied so we were seated right away. Menu is limited with only about eight options for breakfast. My husband and I each went for the Simple Breakfast and shared the Soufflé Pancakes. Everything was just ok; the Simple Breakfast is that... "simple", two eggs and 3 slices of bacon for $15.00. In terms of the pancakes, I had read so many great reviews on them and I was so excited to try them. Unfortunately, they were just "meh". They are very very "cakey" and too dry to my like, really nothing special. With that said, the lattes are really good, especially the Roze Latte. Needless to say, it will be a while before I come back here. There are tons of other amazing places in Nashville to have breakfast, and those offer more interesting and flavorful dishes and definitely more options on their menu.

After adventuring at Cheekwood I was ready for a brunch date with myself! Super friendly service- I sat at a bar table so anyone that walked by checked in. My toast was so delicious- packed with flavors and depth. I also was feeling fancy and wanted a little bar treat so I grabbed a Pimm's cup. It was so refreshing and had layers of flavor. The cookie was top two best chocolate chip cookies I have ever eaten. If you are looking for a unique place for a brunch date either with your self or others look no further!

We had dinner at Roze Pony on a calm weekday evening. Staff were incredible: they were understanding of traffic that led to us being late a few minutes, and they had a kid menu at the ready with crayons (high chairs are also available). Parking here is plentiful and free in a private lot for this and the other establishments in the same building. The menu is seasonal, and we had a taste of everything. Their carrot toast was especially beautiful with edible flowers and a rich creme piped atop. I had the grilled swordfish on a bed of corn with chimichurri. It was lovely, and the portion was generous. I think the highest compliment you can pay a restaurant is a clean plate, and our table was full of them. They have a happy hour weeknights 4-6pm. We unfortunately just missed the mark, but there were plenty of seats if you wanted to check them out in the future. The staff seems really fond of their regulars, and that's something you don't often see in current restaurant culture. It's comforting and a kindness. I would say while the restaurant was super prepared for young children, I wouldn't bring my toddler to dinner again just because of age (and the fine cutlery). Brunch might be a better fit for young families.

Wonderfully intimate but inviting. Lemon roasted trout was light and delightful. Just the right balance. Good piece of light fish with flavorful kale salad and potato side. Don't be scared of ordering the Pistola cocktail. The carrot meshes incredibly with the smokey mezcal and habanero. Not too sweet, not to Smokey, not too spicy, just the right combo.

Great menu and ambience. Staff were friendly and attentive. Easy to find with ample parking. Loved the variety of menu items from breakfast to sandwiches, soup and salads. We just wanted to find a place close by and this terrific eatery popped up on Yelp. They also have great martinis -and a full bar! Don't forget to save room for a dessert. We enjoyed the Strawberry Shortcake and Whiskey chocolate chip cookie. They are known for their delectable desserts which are a rare treat!

Server was so nice. Food was okay. Not quite worth the hype. It was kinda chaotic and the hostess seemed to have some drama going on. Didn't love the coffee.

    Sloppy salmon

Had lunch at Roze Pony today it was fantastic ! We had great service, met a friend there we had not talked in a while so we just wanted to catch up and it was the perfect place to do so. I had the sloppy salmon and it was delicious very flavorful perfectly cooked on fresh baked milk bread yummmm! The place was busy but we Amer still able to have a great conversation. Great atmosphere. All around a 5 today.

The best brunch place in Nashville! The rose latte is absolutely fabulous and the brekkie bowl was the best of the best! The staff is so accommodating with gluten free food and our whole big family! 10/10

We enjoyed a lovely brunch this past Sunday. The smash burger was a huge hit on the flavor scale. They make all their own syrups so that heightens the coffee experience. Overall a good experience. A bit pricey (the reason for a one star subtraction) for what we ordered, but service and presentation were on point.

    "Soufflé" Pancakes
    Mitchell G.

Service was great. You could tell that she was close by and attentive without being there. She made sure that our water glasses were filled. Big Plus for me. Food was average. The pony burger needed something. The carrot curry soup was delicious. But, we ordered the "soufflé" pancakes. They were just cake pancakes. A little misleading. And a little dry. I don't recommend the pancakes. I'm not sure that they really want you drinking a whole lot there for brunch with mimosas that are $14 each. But fine. They were fine.

Parking was a bit confusing for some of my friends, but once we arrived, things moved quickly. After checking in with the hostess, we were seated right away, and our server was reasonably attentive throughout the evening. We started with the spicy tuna on crispy rice--clearly inspired by Nobu's signature dish. It was a solid interpretation, though the rice leaned a bit too oily and could have used more seasoning to really bring it to life. For drinks, our group ordered an Old Fashioned and one of the featured cocktails. The Old Fashioned was a hit, but the cocktail fell a little flat--so a bit of a mixed bag there. For my entrée, I ordered the roasted chicken frites. The chicken itself was cooked properly, but the skin was unfortunately quite soggy, likely due to the garlic sauce. It also seemed like the dish may have sat in the service window for a bit before reaching the table, which didn't help. There was also an overwhelming amount of sauce--so much so that the fries were completely soaked and lost their texture. The few fries that weren't drenched paired really well with the truffle aioli, which was a highlight. My friends ordered the Bolognese and the Wagyu cheeseburger, and both described their meals as fine, but not memorable enough to warrant a return visit. Overall, The Henry is a convenient option if you're already in the 12 South area, but with so many standout restaurants in Nashville, there are definitely stronger choices nearby.

The feel is like a comfortable bistro, with a soft wood tones-and plenty of natural light on the interior and a large sidewalk patio. Service was prompt and professional, as expected. Fun springtime cocktails complemented the appetizers. The take here on the cauliflower differs from downtown--tempura flash fried--but just as tasty. And the etch salad from downtown makes its appearance in the suburbs as well. But there was something lost in the translation--a bit too much of the orange ginger dressing took away the tartness of the arugula. Maybe that's how they like it in the 'burbs. Entrees were solid. Highly recommend the shrimp pasta, the chili sauce adds bite; the shrimp was perfect and the serving is generous. Unfortunately cannot lavish similar praise on the fish of the day. The grouper was well prepared, with flavor but skimpy. The blue corn grit cake was a bit dry. Good but not perfect, and there's the surprise. Fish has always been Paquette's strength since Cakewalk--yeah I date myself with that reference--so this dish just didn't meet the standard. I will treat it as a one-off and look forward to my next visit because everything else was brilliant and enjoyable.

I got the cucumber sage yuzu spritz mocktail, and Eric R. got a local amber beer. Our table was ready within 10 or 15 minutes, so we migrated to it for dinner. Our server was helpful in providing recommendations. We started with three shareables: the mussels in lemongrass serrano beer broth and grilled bread, tempura long-stemmed artichokes on Calabrian chile mascarpone, and the lamb lollipops with pearled cous cous. I tasted the lamb, and it was heavenly, like melt-in-your-mouth tender but with a lot of caramelization. That was really Eric R.'s choice so I let him eat the majority of it. I really enjoyed the mussels and the artichokes! Everything was hot and delicious. I was sipping broth with a mussel shell when the bread ran out, and the host came out with more bread for us! It was so good. We asked to see a dessert menu. Eric R. had a tough choice between carrot cake and blondie with caramel ice cream, but was steered toward the blondie and did not regret it.
