    Our excellent lunch.
    Rene L.

Small dining room is deceiving, it can actually accommodate 25-30 customers, but fear not, there is a second dining room that can easily accommodate 100 +/-. Went to lunch here today with a friend who is a big fan of Indian cuisine, having had it literally all over the world. He did the ordering. We started with a Taj Mahal Indian beer, one of several selections of imported and domestic beers and wines offered. We had the vegetable samosa as our appetizer: crispy pastries filled with potato, peas and spices. NOT GREASY! Had to emphasize this point, had them in other restaurants and thought they should be called "greasy devils." Then it was off to two of his favorites that quickly became mine as well: Mutter Paneer - Paneer, peas, tomato based sauce, Garam masala, spices. (Paneer is a type of cheese.). Then Chicken Korma - grilled chicken breast chucks cooked in rich cashew cream sauce. We each had a side of flavorful rice and shared the freshly made naan. At my friends suggestion (am I glad that he did) we each had an order of rice pudding for dessert. It tasted to cardamon, rose water, nuts and saffron. Although I have never visited India, I have been to "Indian" restaurants. After this feast, I feel that others were imposters while this was authentic on many levels. Fast, attentive service without fuss. A pleasant Summer lunch. Now time for a nap.

Had a terrific dinner yesterday here! Mango chicken with naan & chutney! Indian beer & a nice, laid back ambiance in the new dining section.

I might agree there has been some service issues as help is hard to find in Keene however the food here is nothing less than amazing.

This place is casual offering full service dining with table seating and seating at the bar. The food menu offerings include Nepalese and Indian dishes & appetizers including momos (veg or non-veg), curry dishes, naan, biryanis, chowmein, goat bhuttan, chicken keema, vegetarian dishes, thali, and dessert items. They also offer lunch specials too. The bar offers 6 draft beers, bottled beers, wine, liquor, cocktails and mocktails. I really enjoy momos and I usually go to 3 spots in Manchester for Nepalese food. After seeing a new Nepalese & Indian restaurant open up near my office, I decided to order lunch takeout online and headed downtown to pickup my order. When I arrived at pickup time, the food was still being made and ready to go in 6 minutes. I headed back to the office afterwards to eat my lunch, Vegetable Korma - Lunch ($12.95 plus tax) and Steamed Momos - Pork ($12.95 plus tax). The Vegetable Korma had a mix of broccoli, green beans, onion, potatos, tofu in a ginger garlic paste and creamy cashew paste topped with slivered almonds and basmati rice & caraway seeds on the side. This korma dish had smooth and mild spicy flavors. The basmati rice was cooked just right with a few caraway seeds mixed in. The 10 Steamed Momos were filled with soft ground pork in soft dough pouches with tomato sesame timur sauce for dipping. These steamed pork momos were fantastic with my main dish. I will get the chicken momos on my next visit. Overall, I really enjoyed food here and now there's a place to go for momos in Concord. I will keep New Everest on my places to go for lunch in Concord.

But finally I did and boy am I happy. Very much a family affair - husband and wife who share maitre'd and server responsibilities. And other relatives in the kitchen cooking up a storm. What first grabbed my attention were the huge number of dosas they offer. Seeing any dosa on a menu at all is a rarity and so to see the wide variety they feature was amazing. I opted for the Andhra Kara Masala and it was excellent. The dosa itself crispy and warm and the condiments beautifully integrated. We opted for the mixed veggie pakoras as an appetizer on the recommendation of the owner and they were served warm and crispy. The batter was light - nothing like the thick sludge that usually adorns the deep fried nuggets of vegetable delight. The accompanying tamarind sauce was sweet and clean and the mint-cilantro suitably refreshing. Lovey got garlic naan and saag paneer. Smooth and creamy, the saag was exactly as hoped for and the garlic naan was chewy, warm and toothsome. Dessert was carrot halwa. Hard to believe carrots make such an excellent warm dessert but they do. Richly satisfying with just the right touch of sweetness. We look forward to returning and sampling the rest of the menu!

It's a place his dad has taken him to before and he loves it! We go for Indian food occasionally and we like it, so off we went to Salem NH. Grandson ordered a dosa for all of us as an appetizer, something with chopped onions, it was pretty good. My dish was the saag paneer, which I ordered what they call "American spicy." Spicy? Not! If I go back, I'd order Indian Medium Spicy! My husband liked his chana masala. Both were served with white rice. My son-in-law had a korma dish, I don't remember which one, Indian medium spicy, loved it, and he ordered garlic naan. We ordered roti. My grandson is gluten free and dairy free. I don't remember what he ate, but he's all in when he's predisposed to liking something, so I only remember that he was happy with it! We love the carrot halwa at our local favorite Indian restaurant in midtown Manhattan, so we ordered it for all 4 of us. It was much sweeter than we're used to; tasty but too sweet to finish. Anyway, it's a good local choice up there and my grandson chose it again just the other day for his birthday dinner out!
