Amazing food and wonderful people! The gentleman behind me drives up weekly from my neck of the woods @Northampton because it's the best Israeli food in the country he said. He is right! Loved the murals, decor, and everything about this place.

If you're in Brattleboro for a meal, Yalla is definitely the place to eat! The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is just happy. We split the Yalla Yalla (you can skip the pita for a gluten free option) although, my husband said the pita was fluffy and amazing. The falafel was crispy and fresh and the egg was delicious. Great hummus and tahini. Loved the pickles too. Okay, I loved everything. I'll definitely be returning if I find myself in Brattleboro again!

Yalla Yalla - hummus, falafel, pickles, 3hr egg, tahini, spicy, and eggplant.

I haven't had Mediterranean food this good in the United States! The front fryer is falafel only, which is gluten free. The hummus is fresh, the pita is light and airy!! When you go to order they walk you through the line asking if you want and the staff is pretty well educated on what's in each item! I can't wait to go back (again)!

I ordered the yalla yalla bowl and it was so much food! There was hummus, picked veggies, falafels, a piece of roasted eggplant, and pita bread. I couldn't finish it all and it became a second meal for me later in the day. It's a casual sit down or grab to go. Turkish coffee was unique - bitter with spices. It was a good rest stop for those going into VT.

Extremely rude service. Not worth the hype. Much better- authentic middle eastern food in the area.

Absolutely delighted. A must stop when in Brattleboro VT. The Israel olives are complementary and delicious.

I was super excited when I realized most of this place is vegan, but was disappointed by flavor. I ordered the Fontina Panino (vegan sausage, fontina cheese, arugula and fennel mustard on ciabatta) and a cortado to drink. We take out seat in the very cool back room, and only after 5 or so minutes the drink and food arrives. Now I am a complete foodie, really tough on everything I eat, but after one bite I was in love. To the point where I asked Lauren, the owner, what mustard they were using, and then ordered a panini press when I got home hoping to recreate the magic. Perfectly chewy bread, just the right balance of sweet and savory, and that mustard. Truly amazing. My wife ordered the avocado toast which she said was perfection. I wish I could bundle this place up and ship it to New Haven because I'd be eating one of those sandwiches every week. As for everything else: The service was great. The atmosphere laid back and funky. Everything was reasonable priced. LOVE LOVE LOVE Cafe Joust!

This popular food truck serves up sandwiches & platters (falafel, shawarma, kabob), gyros, fries, hummus, grape leaves, baba ghanouj, meat & spinach pies, and baklava. I stopped by the Mohawk Shawarma Grill recently for dinner takeout. There was a small crowd of people standing near and in front of the trailer waiting for their orders. There was only one person working the trailer, so it took a while to place my order (7 minutes) and for my food to be ready (20 minutes). Once my food was all set, I enjoyed it in my car parked on the street. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich ($7.99 plus tax) and a Gyro ($7.99 plus tax), which were both grilled to order wraps with tasty fillings. The shawarma sandwich was filled with tender pieces of marinated chicken, tomato, pickles, fries, and garlic. The gyro was filled with gyro meat slices, tomato, onion, fried potato, and tzatziki sauce. I will definitely have to stop by again for some kabobs next time!
