Some of the reviews made me very hesitant to do a walk-in but I am so happy I took a chance. I started with a basic pedi and really appreciated not being pressured to upgrade. I also noticed that everyone else except for me were regulars which made me wonder if some of the bad reviews were not. They have a lot of powder choices which is a sure sign that they actually use a lot of acrylic. I ended up adding a full set and did not regret it! I really like this place. I came in for a pearl pedicure. The lady who attended to my feet took her time and made sure I was comfortable and pleased with the work she was doing. I came in with a friend and the lady taking care of my friend had a language barrier but that was easily fixed with my attendant translating to her co worker what my friend was needing / wanting. Tina is the best. She did my manicure & pedicure previously. Yesterday, she did my manicure. My nails are the most neglected because of my work schedule. However, in the past month I stopped by twice when I generally only go for my birthday or Thanksgiving, or Christmas. These are my nails in shellac which is my second time in my life using it. Generally I use acrylic. And it didn't even need pink nail polish. If you are searching for a quiet peaceful relaxing place to chill out in the heat, stop by towards the end of week before 4 pm. I got the highest treatment for my hands. They still feel relaxed from yesterday. If you can call ahead so they can add you in. They do accept walk ins but you may need to wait a little bit. I usually am not one to write bad reviews but I couldn't just not. Me and my boyfriend decided to go get a regular mani/pedi, something we do regularly and this place was closer to our house. He went with the second package. As soon as we arrived home he complained of his feet burning and stinging, so i decided to look and when I did his feet were raw in between, scratched up and just looked swollen overall. I have gone to this Pearland nail salon for years but since the new owner shut down her other shop and started working here in the Pearland location everything has become dirty and sloppy ! I was a walk in for a pedicure & they told me to give them 10-15 min. The actual wait time was approx. 35 minutes, then another 10 minutes sitting in the pedicure chair watching my feet wrinkle up and the water got cold. I forgot to add that they only rinse out the foot tub with the water from the tub prior to treating another client (no disinfectant). I asked them to spray it down with alcohol before I put my feet in. The pedicure itself felt rushed & the guy didn't even ask if I wanted my toenails cut or filed only...he proceeded to cut them all down. When I got home, I noticed my toes weren't completely painted...I mean don't they usually paint the front ridge of the nail so the color of the nail doesn't show? Wasn't worth the money I paid. Follow up 12.27.17 I ended up getting an ingrown toenail on my big toe. This was the last pedicure I had received so definitely not returning. read more

I've only been here once, and I will never go back. Me and 3 girlfriends all got our nails done here. I showed the tech a picture of the color nails I wanted. I got the powder dip. As she was doing it, I told her the color wasn't right and she told me it will look different once it's all done. It was not even close to the nude color I wanted. It was pink. Costumer service here is terrible from the second you walk in. Pedicures were rushed as well. Also, all 4 of us had problems with the top coat of our nails peeling off completely after 2 days, which then made the dip feel off. It was almost like the shellac does after having it on for 2 weeks. I've never experienced that before with the dip. My toes also chipped after a few days when normally my toe polish stays on until I get my next pedicure (3 weeks). Save your money and go anywhere but here. read more

Everything about the lady owner is completely true. She is rude, disrespectful, and not helpful. I have been going there since it first opened and she was so nice. Now she treats myself and family like we are garbage even though I would spend over $100 a week there. Also, be prepared to wait 40+ minutes, even if you make an appt. She will tell you someone will be with you in 10 mins but be prepared to wait an hour! This place super clean and spacious. Great pedis and manis. The shellac is little expensive but it's good. The only thing I recommend improvement is customer attention. This review is for eyebrow wax only. The lady who did my eyebrows was okay. I wasn't crazy about the shape. She really didn't try to hard to reshape them, and in my opinion they could have been more artfully done. But as tomorrow is Easter and I didn't have time to go to my regular place, this was it. I have been a customer here for over a year. I have been to just about every nail salon in the area before that. My problem at other salons was never having the same experience twice. The work here is consistent. Consistently excellent! I get regular pedicures and shellac manicures and I have worked with everyone there. They are all sweet, kind and respectful. I have never ever witnessed anything negative....just the opposite. Julie goes out of her way to help people select colors and be happy. They ladies are always delightful and the few times I have brought my children in to treat them to mani/pedis they have treated them like princesses. I definitely recommend this salon. read more

Close and convenient to my house but today drew the line. I regret coming back here. Its a very clean salon with new equipment, but that doesnt make up for the poor customer service. The owner lady is rude, never smiles, and looks annoyed when you walk in. Dont even think about bringing your children there. She has been rude to my kids. She has a waterfall display that attracts kids and they just walked towards it and she snapped at them. On this last visit, and my very last visit, I tried to sit in a massage chair to wait for my daughter and her friend's pedis to be done and I was forbidden to sit there after a $50 service and waiting an hour... Average service (pedicure) for me during a slow time. Seemed to do minimum even though I paid for extra services. My teenage daughter went during a busy time and her manicure was chipping and smudging before she even left. The employee said it was because her nails weren't dry yet after she rushed her out of the dryer so she could put another customer on it. read more

I've been a loyal customer for years. Even when the new owner came my daughter and I were there every 2 weeks. I sent my daughter by herself because I had something to do. She brought me the receipt and she was charged 50 dollars for her nails. We have been charged $27 for pedicure and $30 for my shellac nails or $35 if she had a design done. Once she went by herself she was charged $50.00. We called before we went up there to see why we were ripped off and were told a full set is $40.00. When I get there Lynda says to change the powder and shellac her nails it is now $50.00. That is a total rip off! Do NOT go to this place, the new owner is going to rip you off! read more

I WAS a loyal customer from the day they opened the doors but i will not be going back EVER! Everyone there is polite and they do a good qaulity job, but the owner has terrible business practices and customer service. I spend an average of $75 a month in this place but according to the owner I am a cheap lady and I need to go somewhere else. If you do not go in every week for the works she basically refuses service to you. I could go on and on about my bad experiences in this salon but it would be a novel. On more than one occasion, I have actually witnessed the owner having a dispute with another customer while getting my nails done. She actually refused to give a lady a pedicure and after the irrate lady left the owner proceeded to tell everyone in the salon how "That lady was cheap, she did not tip well and her feet stink", so professional. Bottomline this is how she feels and speaks about all of her clients that dont spend atleast $250 a month in her place. I have never been made to feel so un welcome and treated so disrespectfully especially when I am a loyal paying customer. Also the prices are not posted anywhere, they hand you a brochure with a price list and when you check out the prices are more than want is printed. The owner says yes we went up on our prices but I just haven't redone our brochures (what is the point of giving someone a price list if the prices are not correct). I feel sorry for her employees because they are unhappy and she treats them the same way as she does half of her customers (the "cheap" ones) and I also feel sorry for future customers that might have to experience what I did! read more

I took my almost 7 year old daughter to Royal Nails to get her nails painted for the first time since it looked like such a nice place. Although the salon looked clean and comfortable, they treated us terribly. While my daughter was holding three bottles of polish trying to decide on the color, a lady came up to her and told her sternly to put them all back so "you won't drop them on the floor". My daughter had a firm grip and gave no indication of dropping the bottles, but the lady stood there and starred at us until she put them back. After we picked colors (I held the bottles so we wouldn't get yelled at again) and sat down, the lady just sat there talking with another employee while we waited. After a few minutes, my daughter decided to go over and look at the large water fountain at the front of the store. The same lady then turned in her chair and yelled at her "don't touch!" At that point, I put the colors back and left with my daughter. I don't know why they were so mean and unwelcoming to my child and I since she was well-behaved. I wish I would have read the reviews before going. I've gone here a few times, I always bring my daughter (currently 19 months old) bc my husband is gone a lot for work. My daughter is extremely well behaved, so this is never an issue. Today, I went in and had a pedi, and eyebrow/lip waxing done. My daughter sat very quietly in her stroller for over an hour while I had these done. When we were leaving I let her out of the stroller to walk from the dryers at the back to the check out at the front. My daughter naturally gravitated to the rocks in the fountain they have right behind the check out, she picked up a rock, I could tell the owner was eyeballing her. I took the rock, sat it down and told my daughter no. I was writing how I wanted the tip divided on the receipt while answering a fellow customers question about my daughters age when my daughter barely pushed her umbrella stroller and it lightly tapped something in their little shrine that is right at your feet at check out. The owner said we will figure out the tip ourselves...and I could tell she was mad and rushing me out of the place. So, I laughingly said to the other customers who had been talking to me "she just wants me to get my kid out of here" and the owner harshly said "well I tried not to say anything, but she's going to break something." I said "well that's not a very nice way to treat a customer, so I just won't be coming back here". She proceeded to tell me that my $25 makes no difference to her (my total was $45 and 2 of my toes have dings in them, but that isn't the point here.) I'm not one of those moms who thinks her kid is perfect... I have been in the salon before and had people tell me as I'm leaving that they didn't know I had a baby with me. She really is good and had been perfect until just before walking out and even then did no harm. She yelled at me the whole way out the door. So... This place is not kid or customer friendly. Please beware of the owner and take your business elsewhere. Apparently she doesn't need or appreciate your money any way. Ps- owner lady, obviously you don't like children, so if you don't want them in your salon, put a sign up that says that. Also, if it was her bumping your shrine that ticked you off, you should move it bc any one, big or small, could kick it over. Just left Royal nails and was utterly disappointed. I asked for a basic pedicure which according to their services sheet includes a 4 min therapeutic lotion massage. The gal skipped this entirely. Then when she went to put my shoes on I asked her if she was going to do the lotion on my legs and she said "I did". So not only did she skimp out on my services which I paid full price for, she lied straight to my face when confronted about it. My daughter bought me a $55.00 gift card on 5/18/13 for Mother's Day. I went in today 11/13/13 to use the card. After starting on my nails, before the paint they wanted payment. Will not go back here & apparently owner doesn't care since she (lady with blonde hair) doesn't return my calls. I went to this nail salon on my lunch hour and was greeted by the owner she was on her way out asked me what I wanted we discussed it and she told Sonny what I needed & to take care of me. It started off good , he refilled over French manicure, told him I would like them painted with a light color, he said it would have to be gel polish to last longer..ok fine. Picked my color and noticed after he painted first hand there were ripples in polish, I expressed my concern & he told me I had hit the inside of the nail lamp., which I had not!! He told me he would just paint over it. He painted the next hand and it started doing the same thing so then he tells me the polish is bad after I had already put both hands under the heat lamp so he has to take the polish off with the drill so he gets all the polish off with the drill , all the other colors I tell him I want he is out of!! And offers no help to why or what to do.. Then he tells me to pick a regular nail polish, still no help or apology for this taking forever.. Express to him that I don't want my nails painted because it takes longer for them to dry now and I have to go back to work and he tells me it's only choice was to paint them if they mess up they just mess up.. My nails look horrible when I left the place and I paid him which I shouldn't had. The worst service and refill manicure I have ever gotten... And I was just trying a new place closer to my office...
