My review is about customer service. I told them twice that I wanted the express pedicure $28 not the #1 basic $35 for both me and my husband. I don't care for hot stones or wax because it's usually too hot for me. When I was paying, I told the owner we had two express pedicures. The owner asked the ladies who worked on us and they told her they gave us the basic. What they didn't know was that I spoke Vietnamese and understood their conversations. I didn't want to argue with them because I already knew I was never coming back. I have no issues with with quality of the pedicures we received. I will say that they spoke negatively about my husband's feet in Vietnamese. It wasn't offensive which is why I didn't speak up. Still, I'm always wary of any place of business who would conduct themselves like that. read more

Found this place on Yelp after lunch with friends at Baybrook Mall. Very clean, quiet and relaxing... almost fell asleep more than once. Great signature pedicure with all the bells and whistles to start off 2020! The staff was super nice and accommodating about anything and everything. Nice pedicure chairs but the massage by both our pedicure people were amazing and professional feeling. Manager wanted to make sure we loved everything too. I'm bummed to be leaving a two star review after only coming here because of all of the great reviews from other Yelpers. I am so disappointed in my full shellac set, it is unreal. I have zero complaints about the wait time as I was seated immediately. The man was did my nails was constantly being watched by an older woman who was chiding him about the quality of his work - that should have been my first clue. I had them done not even four days ago and I've already had two fall off and the rest are on their way out. Almost as if they weren't glued down well enough. My thumb and ring finger nail are crooked and the paint job on a few of my nails are see-through. When I left the salon, I had a sore on my cuticle which was bleeding. The man had put top coat on it to try to get it to stop bleeding and so I wouldn't notice. The paint is too thick and I'm honestly embarrassed to be walking around with this set. I'm having them replaced tomorrow. On another negative note, the man hadn't showered in a few days, smelled sour and had horrendous breath. Just a bad experience overall. Won't be back. read more

Overall we really enjoyed the 1-hour experience for several reasons: 1. you get to choose from ~20 yummy scrubs 2. you get a warm wrap for your neck + warm towel for pedis 3. you get to order a complimentary drink (teas are yummy, next time I'll have moscato or a mimosa) It's $35 for a classic pedicure. This time I was left thinking are my expectations higher than everyone else's for the area? This place isn't your cheap special mani and pedi so I expected better service what I got was torn cuticles, one took almost a week to completely heal and nail polish that was so weak it chipped almost immediately that I went back the next day and brought in my own to have them redo. $65 for a mani and pedi that took almost 2hrs and looked awful. The price is a little higher than other places but it is absolutely worth it. I got a new set of solar nails, with "natural pink" and "soft white" tip, sport length. My nails were getting botched so badly, someone else took over and fixed them for me. Another red flag was that there were three other younger women around my age, and they got alcohol, even though they weren't carded. (I'm 19. The way they spoke indicated they knew they got away with drinking underage.) I appreciate the work and that they got fixed, but all in all it was a disappointment. My nails and toes cost $84 or $86 (I forgot) overall. (Not including tip.) - UPDATE: I just got into different lighting, and realized literally all except my pinkie nails were cut crooked. Is Michelle still at this location? I made an appointment this past Friday. The girl who answered the phone told me Michelle would be gone the next 3 weeks. Regardless, I made an appointment for 11 am Saturday since the girl asked if I still wanted my nails done. I got there right before 11 am and did not recognize anyone of the staff. When I walked in, they were full. A man working there asked me who I was and I explained i had an appointment at 11. This is after a lady doing pedicures just looked at me when I walked in. I recommend La Tique nails and in particular Michelle without reservation. I would give 6 stars out of 5. The salon is neat and clean but not flashy. The service is AMAZING. They value service over everything else. I was previously going to a nearby, expensive salon (named after a type of fruit) for two years who valued décor far more than service. They soaked off your nails for up to 30 minutes with no prep. This caused such skin damage from the acetone that my nails were lifting off the nail bed. The soaking of gel at La Tique is just 5 minutes after a large amount of prep work. Unlike other salons, Michele never left me to sit in the back, talk with other technicians nor work on other customers. I am beyond impressed and the prices are very good, too. The nail salon had walk ins and people call to request appointment--they took every single person, leaving my daughter sitting in the chair without service. Visited for the first time on Thursday for a pedicure. I am very picky and have only been seeing one lady for several years but as she has become so popular it's difficult to do walk-ins for her so I decided to try a new place. I called ahead and asked if they used the liners and sanitized and they assured me they did so off I go. This place was very clean and yes she did use new packs for my feet and nails files. Everything was disposable or able to be sanitized. I chose to get a deluxe pedi which came with a 12 minute massage that split between my legs and shoulder. It was amazing. The lady's were very nice. The salon is small so there isn't a crazy amount of colors to pick from but they have all the basics you would expect. I didn't have time to do my nails but I will give them another try for sure. read more

We came here for a girls day to get our nails done, and the ladies seem sweet, but hardly talked. I told them that my 3 year old daughter was going to get her nails and toes painted as well, and they pretty much ignored her. The women that were doing mine and my friend's nails did not even attempt to clean, buff, or scrub them properly, but it took over 2 1/2 hours. I was very unhappy with the pedicure I received, so with the wait being as long as it was just to get my toes done, I did not get my shellac done. The manager came by when my tech told her that I did not want to stay and get my nails done, so she tried to come apologize and tell me that there was a big language barrier between the tech and I, as well as them not being able to do a good job. The manager was well aware of the technicians issues, but still had them on staff, that is a poor choice in management. read more

This is the best nail spa I've gone to for a pedicure! They have so many options for pedicures and so many different scents to try! I also LOVE the neck wrap that they heat up and throw on my neck ... what a great way to relax! They have a large selection of beverages to drink, not just the usual soda, water, or wine ... but actual teas that you can get either hot or cold. Super friendly service! I went in today and received a signature pedicure and a shellac manicure.... and boy, am I glad I did! The service was impeccable, the cleanliness was superb, and the shellac color choices was vast. Cindy and Thy worked on my manicure and it turned it great. They mixed up my shellac color choice with my mom's for my mani and when I pointed it out they did not make a big deal of changing colors. The pedicure was heavenly. There was a nice selection of scented exfoliating scrubs to choose from and the ambience was sooo relaxing. It is a little on the pricey side, but I'm a firm believer you get what you pay for. They do go above and beyond compared to the more traditional nail salons in the area. Although they accept walk ins, the preference is for you to call and make an appointment, especially on the weekend when it is busy.
