I decided to try this place since they had good reviews on Yelp. I got powder dip nails for $40. Normally, when you get anything done to your fingernails, you get your fingers soaked, cuticles pushed back and trimmed, massage and lotion on hands and arms. Not here, apparently. I sat down and the nail tech immediately started grinding my nails down with an electric file (great, now my nails will be weak and damaged for a good four months). She dipped and filed some more. My nails don't look good at all. The whole process was rushed. Tools pulled out of drawers were obviously dirty. The barbicide in the jars was old and cloudy. The process ended with her globbing some oil on my cuticles and then telling me to go wash my hands and that was that. 1. Any fingernail service should include some basic cuticle/nail prep. 2. Don't be lazy and rush customers out of your chairs. You could save people's nails a lot of damage and gently rough them up with a file instead of shredding through them with an electric nail file. 3. Sanitize your tools. That's just gross. Files are not expensive. Throw them away between clients and sterilize tools that cannot be thrown away. read more

I had the worst experience with Elegance Nail (just one nail, because that's all they will leave you with). It was my first and last time coming here. I spent 2 hours there, just to have my natural nails completely ruined. I always keep my real nails and get ombré powder overlay. Literally within 24 hours of getting my nails done, I reached into my purse to get my phone and my entire nail broke off on one of my fingers and another had a crack all the way across. 3 nails have since been cracked and broken off from the nail bed, leaving them bleeding. Having your nail bed exposed is SO painful. I called them ASAP with no answer and messaged them on FB. They said they would fix it for free if I came back in.. however it was a far commute for me and I needed immediate attention. I asked for a refund for my nails since I couldn't make it to their location , and they said they could only refund $25, which was 50% of what I paid (not including the $20 tip). Not sure why they wouldn't refund me all of it, since they did a poor job. In any case, I gave them my Venmo as requested and then they ghosted me. Terrible nail salon and terrible customer service. Please do not waste your time or money. I really hate to leave bad reviews, and I rarely do... but this was unacceptable. read more

I definitely love my regular nail salon but a friend of mine suggested I check this place out and I was not disappointed. It is in a really nice location in Friendswood. Plenty of parking and the inside of the salon is small but clean. They have the standard water, wine, and soft drinks salons offer, which is nice. I really enjoyed my manicure but my pedicure and massage was amazing and soothing! I started to drift off to sleep!! I appreciate that the technicians did my feet and nails at the same time. Worst customer service ever. Horrible and very painful pedicure, because he didn't know how to do his job or perhaps he was lazy and he did the bare minimum (bc the guy was clearly rushing). It was almost bothersome for him to perform the usual nail cleaning tasks of a pedicure. Didn't put my nails in the dryer after or offer it until I got up to go. The girl who waxed my eyebrows put no cooling gel and I have a huge rash now. Beyond unprofessional. The place is run down and looks dirty so don't waste your time! I don't always have my nails done. I go to the salon maybe 4 times a year, so I was very hesistant about coming here. My cousin wanted acrylic and so I tagged along. I picked shelac in a bright neon pink for summer. Jason did an amazing job! Everyone was very kind and professional. I love the way my nails came out. And yes, we even got some complimentary wine. I really enjoyed getting my shellac manicures and pedicures here. They were friendly, remembered me, and remembered what services I had done from my previous visits. Also, you are seated quickly and my services were never rushed. They always offer refreshments and made sure you felt comfortable. The reason I am giving 3 stars is because I tried the dip powder nails for the first time. I should have read more about the process for dip powder nails, but please make sure they do not double dip your fingers in the powder jar that might be reused for other customers. The young man accidentally cut my fingers about 3 times with the file drill and placed my fingers in a powder jar. I read that the powder should be placed in a separate bowl to be thrown away (unless he threw the entire jar out?). This has made me feel uncomfortable to return here. read more

Elegance Nail has been my go to nail salon for years. Over the years I've gotten shellac, dip, and now my favorite solar overlay. Jenny is my girl when it comes to getting my nails done. I love a natural look. Often times when you get dip or overlay the nails look bulky and fake. Jenny is the best at making solar overlay look natural as if it was shellac. The product they they use is also great quality. I literally can go a month or probably more without my nails breaking. I also get a pedicure to go with my nails and it always comes out great. You get what you pay for so I shouldn't be upset but, I'm never coming back. I stopped in because I NEEDED a pedi ASAP and this salon was nearby so I decided to try it out. I really should've walked out as soon as I stepped in though. The place is dated, crammed, run down, and the staff was indifferent. The lady that did my pedi either didn't care to be at work that day or was in a bad mood or both. She filed my toe nails in a rush and like she was annoyed to have to do it, and left ALL toe nails crooked and filed at different lengths. When I asked her to please make them even she was not happy to have to hear it and fixed them w an attitude...still leaving some at different lengths but at least not crooked so I left it alone. I thought, "must be a bad day for her, whatever, I'll file & fix them at home." Then when we got to the foot scrub, I let her know in advance that I'm ticklish so apologies for maybe moving a little...when she got started, sure enough I started cringing a bit trying to stay still/not lol and she stops and looks at me annoyed to ask, "you want me to stop or what?" I was like, "no I'm just ticklish, sorry" and she sighed heavy and went back to being annoyed. Lastly, when it came time for the lotion, I got like 8 pumps (I wish I was exaggerating) of lotion SLOPPED and rubbed around on my legs... *cringe* By then I was over it and just went w it...I had no time to go to a new place/ask for someone else to redo it, I was in a major rush, and was not trying to put the lady in a worse mood and have my polish potentially ruined. I give the place 2 stars because there was no wait on a Saturday so if you're reading this and NEED a fast pedicure and willing to brave the service...this is your spot! (You're probably better off painting your own toes though tbh.) Sigh.. the girl was nice and did an ok job with the pedicure. However, I DO NOT think it's cool to reuse any items to do pedicures. I had to ask for a new file and buff brush because the ones she was about to use me had looked worn and old from the several people they were used on before me. Also, I freaking HATE when places use credo blades to get rid of rough heels. It is not sterile and those things are breeding grounds for infections. Won't be back. Great customer service and very reasonable prices. I went in for a mani and pedi (without an appointment) on a Thursday evening around 5:45. It looked busy but they were able to seat me right away. Two ladies worked on me at the same time and each one painted my nails exactly how I like. I didn't ask for a specific way, but they covered the entire nail and didn't leave gaps or make the layers too thick. This is the first time I've left a nail salon w my color in tact. It usually smudges before I walk out the door because the polish was too thick and difficult to get completely dry. I will definitely be going back. read more

Mandy, is the BEST. She wasn't here today. I walked in and the female owner has this bad look on her face, and she wasn't very welcoming either, but rude in the way that she never greeted me, and it was a rude moment. I came in for a lip and eyebrow wax. I told the girl that took care of me, that there is something wrong with one of my eyebrows; I wanted for her to please, fix it. She started speaking in her native language, and all of a sudden there are 4 to 5 staff members talking Vietnamese. And as the girl is doing my wax, another girl walks by me and makes contact with my foot, and doesn't even apologize. I am very displeased with the staff. I will not be returning for further business with these folks. It seems that if you express displeasure(and as a paying customer, if I'm Not satisfied, it's perfectly, fine for me to express it to them). I had never been to this salon before but I went in and asked them to remove a botched snowflake that another nail salon had applied to one of my nails and not only did the gentleman remove it and make my nail look amazing, but he didn't want to charge me for it. I insisted that he take my money. I went here a few weeks ago after work for a manicure and polish change on my toes. The lady who did my nails did a good job, but the ENTIRE time I was sitting there , the male worker next to us WOULD NOT SHUT UP. He was rambling on and on to the poor lady sitting next to me as he was doing her toes. I could tell by the look on her face that she wanted badly to tell him to shut up, but she just sat there and let him babble. Half of the reason I go to a salon is relax, not to listen to this guy jabber on and on about nonsense. My nail technician left for the day as my nails were drying (and as male technician guy was still flapping his jaw) so I sat there for about 20min under the UV light while my nails dried, counting the seconds till I could escape this torture chamber. As I got up to pay, my nail smudged on my shirt. I was wearing one of those nice button up blouses and there was a huge red nail polish stain on my shirt. One of the other patrons was nice enough to point it out to me. I then asked the male technician to please apply some nail polish remover to try to get the stain out quickly before it sat too long. He responded rudely, "you're gonna have to do it, I ain't paying for your shirt if the remover ruins it." I was already beyond annoyed with this guy so I responded ''I'm not touching nail polish remover, I just got my nails done. Just grab it and blot." So he stated again ''i'm not paying for your shirt if it's ruined by the nail polish remover." I responded quickly (and probably rudely) "no one asked you to." The stain wasn't so bad after he blotted it so I proceeded to check out. He failed to tell me that I need to tell them the amount that I want to tip BEFORE they swipe my card, otherwise the technician won't get a tip. I didn't have any cash on me so I felt horrible leaving without tipping my tech but it really wasn't my fault. All in all I would never go back here just because the male technician is a loud mouth and it's impossible to relax with him in the room. The TV was blaring, he was pretty much having a conversation with himself the entire hour I was there and my blouse has a permanent red stain on it. This place just left a bad taste in my mouth.
