I've enjoyed coming to the salon to have my nails and my toes done. Just recently I've had Miss Yen, the proprietor, tattoo my eyebrows and she did an excellent job on them! At first they appear dark, but then they go to their natural color when they heal. I am very happy with the outcome & her prices are so very reasonable!! read more

For the price, this place is a hidden honey-hole! If you come, be prepared to wait a little before being seen, as they've got a very small staff size. Their prices are phenomenal! And Yen does great work on nails, especially if she's not too busy! Definitely a place to come and relax for a few hours! Very clean salon, too! read more

Came here with my daughter to get a new set, I still had nails on. They told us they could take us in 5 minutes which of course it took longer then that. When she started doing my nails she was asking if I wanted to soak them off or refill. First two were broken so they would need to be replaced, second I told her if they were still on good enough we could just refill but as she was filing down you could see they were lifting. I tried to get to make sure she understood I had shellac on acrylic not on my nails, so she got that but I don't think she did at first. She was already obviously rushing and had nicked my skin a few times. The last straw for me was she completely lost control of the filing and my finger. Luckily I didn't bleed but I was already done. If I'd already had this much trouble at this point and we hadn't even gotten anything done yet I wasn't willing to keep going. I've been here a few times before and it's hit or miss. Sometimes it's fine sometimes it's subpar. Prices are decent so decided to try again today. I won't be back again however. read more

I am new to the Clear Lake/Seabrook area and found Space Nails from this site. I have often had mediocre visits at other nail salons, so I was not expecting much when I walked in. It was a Saturday afternoon, no wait, professional, studio was very clean, all newly packaged/sterilized utensils and they did a great job! Stopped in here the other day for an eye brow wax and shape. I had never been in here and there were several other ladies getting pedicures. I mentioned this was my first time and wanted to see what services they offered. These women all hollered out that they do everything (manicures, pedicures, nails, and waxing) and that they love them and had been going since they opened. Apparently they've been open a year or so. I just don't go into the Clear Lake area. While I do live here in the bay area, I typically go into the Galleria area for everything as this is where work is located. They did a wonderful job on my eye brows and I will be returning since they are close to home. read more

My sister and I have been coming here for over 7 years and we love it! This salon is seriously a hidden jem. The nail technicians are extremely talented, and this business is family run. They are so inexpensive compared to other local salons, efficient, and meticulous. They can do traditional nails and also trending nail styles. I won't go anywhere else!! read more

I won't go anywhere else but here. Yen does beautiful solar nails and eyebrows. I have short, funky fingers and I have been cut plenty of times at other salons. She is so gentle and has never cut me in the 3 years I've used her. We currently live in downtown and I drive about 40 minutes to get here. I know I pass plenty of other salons but I don't trust anyone but her. The staff is super sweet and the prices are great. read more

I agree with the other posters that this place was clean (and they've piped in some "easy-listening"), but I'm not impressed with my solar nail job. I was scared to go since I haven't had my nails done in ages - I had quit to save money and also I hate the drill, but I was worried about how it would turn out. I felt like the nail tech was really rushing through the job and was kind of sloppy. The shape and quality just doesn't live up to my expectations. However, I will say that they were very gentle with my cuticles and the nail tech didn't nick my skin with the drill once. Otherwise I would have rated it 2 stars. So, my quest for a good nail salon continues. I'll be trying Radiance Nail next. read more

I've been there before and had good service, but not today. This morning I called and made an appointment to get my nails done during my lunch hour. They're close to the office so I'd have plenty of time. I get there and I pick out my color. I'm told to have a seat and I wait and wait. Fifteen minutes goes by and still no technician. I made an appointment so I wouldn't have to wait so by this time I've got to go. I told the tech in the first chair that I'm sorry I have to go I don't have time now. She doesn't say anything just shrugs her shoulders. I guess they have plenty of business that they don't have to worry about losing one!! read more

Lousy service and terrible job. I made an appointment to avoid the long waits with walk-in customers. When I arrived, I was told to have a seat. I waited nearly 25 minutes before the technician finally took me. They rushed through the job and didn't even bother to clean under my nails. They did such a poor job trimming my cuticles that I now have numerous hang nails that are bleeding because the technician didn't know how to properly trim cuticles. Very disappointed and I won't be wasting my money at this shop again! I've noticed numerous one star ratings lately and, sadly, they are deserved. read more

Extremely rude!!! I had to take my son with me, because sometimes that happens. I just needed the acrylic taken off my nails I could have done it myself in the time it took to even get someone to talk to me. They had two people completely free. Not even busy...but by the time they sat me down the man told me to "watch your baby" and I have spent hundreds of dollars there. My kid wasn't even doing anything, just looking at the crap they had piled up on the table. It's a dirty, nasty hole in the wall. And the people there ALWAYS have their babies at work with them. I can't even believe how incredibly rude they were. Sometimes parents don't have a choice but to take their kids... I won't spend my 100 dollars a pop there anymore to get my nails, pedicure, and eyebrows done every other week! read more

Yelp tricked me on this one. I visited Space Nails today with high expectations because of the reviews and I was disappointed, to say the least. I got a full set and a pedicure for only $60. Cheap and that's exactly what I got. Every lady was there was so nice and the little girl was cute and sweet. The pedicure was great, nothing wrong there. But when I got into the chair for my nails, about 3 customers came in. I guess it made her feel like she had to rush because she was done with me within 15 minutes and had someone else paint my nails. Needless to say, my nails are crooked and the paint is very streaky because she didn't use the gel base coat for the color I chose (it was a 2 pack box). I tried to talk to them about it but the lady who painted my nails couldn't understand me. I'm not the type to cause a scene so I paid the $60 and left but I'll never go back. read more

The technician was very rough while using the hand held scraper to remove dead skin during this pedicure, and the bottoms and sides of my feet still hurt. She was also very rough while using the nail buffer (after nail color removal) on my toe nails. I am writing this review at 5pm and I received the pedicure at 9:15 am. That was my first time in this salon. It is average and other girls might be fine, but the guy who did manicure was mean and rude. From the moment I set in a chair till he finished I had a feeling that he wants to get rid of me as soon as possible . Despite the fact that the quality of shellac was pretty good , the manner and manicure itself (cuticle removal ) were bad. He grabbed my fingers and hands very rough. When I asked to remove more cuticule he barely did it and never applied any lotion ...when i asked about lotion ... he said " your are done" and went away . So, that is not a nice service for 30$ for just 40 minutes. read more

My two sisters and I went and the guy was scolding my little sister like she was his own kid! Then he started cleaning her foot bath before she even started to leave! Who does that? The quality was good but the service was terrible. My sisters and I are definitely not going back there. read more

I have been going to Space Nails since the first day they opened. Yin and her staff are so sweet and friendly. She does the best eyebrows. I typically get manicures and pedicures with Sam, who I just love! I don't personally have any experience with solar nails but I have talked to ladies getting them done who swear they are the best. They got new chairs a couple of years ago that are really amazing. I love the different options for pedicures and manicures. I still say they do the best eyebrows in Clear Lake. read more

Made an appointment for last Saturday to get a manicure. I recently purchased a condo across the street and usually go and get mani, pedi and waxing at another salon in Webster but decided to try this salon because it is so close to where I live now. Loved this salon, was not very busy so no wait time and they did a great job on my nails. They were courteous, professional and friendly. Very reasonably priced and my only compliant is they could not sell me a bottle of the polish I chose for my nails for touch ups. I will schedule another appointment for this weekend and will definitely go back for future services. read more

I went to this place because of the great post. Yen does the nails pretty but they tend to fall of, chip, and lift from nail bud in about to 1 week.. and by 2nd week, it needs major CPR. The other day, I quit going there for good .. after them denying to what I went there for. I took appointment for 1 o'clock and from my work, I drove up there and waited 15 minutes. Then the guy had the nerve to come and tell me that he will only do "pink" for my solar french nail, where i really needed pink and white. he said you need to come during week days to get both pink and white as it will take an hour. I said today is Friday and the guy said "yeah but its weekend!" He said it will take too much time to do both pink and white so come back in a week. I said just the pink is going to look bad.. and he said "I know!" .. i was like what kind of horrible service is this!!? I left the place without getting anything done and basically wasted a good 45 minutes from work commutting back and forth and by waiting there! I will not go back there again!! read more

Been going for years. But when I had appointment for the to fix my nail yin was no show knowing I had appointment with her . So one of the staff told me that she just called and not coming that morning. I made appointment with yin again for the week after that , she told to me to come at 2:30 for pedi, manicure and eye brow. when got the day of my appointment, I saw yin leave. So I went in side one of the asked if I needed help, I told the staff member that I had 2:30 appointment with yin , said that yin left for the day. Then he look at the appointment book saw I had appointment and three other people behind me had appointment too. So, he called and called her till she pick up the phone , they talking and laughing about something.The hole staff was very unprofessional about the hole thing. Then 15 minutes later yin came for the appointment. Yin told why she miss the appointment before and this one. As long I been being there never experienced this before. read more
