My wife is very fussy . She likes her nails done in a certain way . She was taken care of by a girl named May . This girl was a real professional . My wife did not recognize her from previous visits so I am assuming she is new . My wife said last time she came she was not treated all that well . The work done on her nails was rushed and was poor quality. But she could not stop giving kudos to May . She said she will never use any of the other girls there. May is the best of the best . LOVE!!! I have been going to Layers salon right next to them since I was younger, and have never found a place in Clear Lake that is "my" nail salon. I have had quite a few bad experiences from nearby salons, so resorted to doing my own mani/pedi's. Visiting my family for Christmas I finally tried LC Nails and cannot wait to go back the next time I come home! LC is so clean (use hospital grade cleaning products), the polish selection is wonderful, while you're getting your pedicure done in the massage chairs, they'll do your manicure too (talk about relaxation), the ladies are SO nice and a joy to talk to. I made an appointment for my sister and I and we got right in, the pedicure spas were ready as we walked in. They are busy, so I'd make an appointment, although I there were some walk ins while we were there!! Mani/ pedi was $35 each, the quality is great, they are so careful when painting and won't let you leave until your nails are perfectly dry! read more

Get yo nails did here! I used to go to Upper Kirby Nails but had a tough time sitting there and breathing in the fumes from other customers getting solar nails. This place is great because: a) its clean b) the ladies speak english c) the ladies are nice and personable d) you pay a little more but you get some great looking nails e) they have a great selection of magazines including PEOPLE, Glamour, Shape....and they are current! Not from months and months ago with questionable stains. I usually get the pedi because I wash my hands a lot and manicures are often ruined. It costs ~$25 for a pedi alone (not french tip). Was originally planning to go somewhere else for my facial wax (eyebrows and lip), LC was in the same shopping center as the Gulf Coast Blood donation center, so I stopped by right after my donation for convenience. They certainly aren't the bright, smiling type, but they still welcomed me in without an appointment and led me straight to a back room for the waxing. I didn't catch her name, but she was very fast and efficient, and didn't try to up-sell me into other services. Only downside, with the eyebrow wax, she did not trim them, as I'm used to other places doing both wax and trim of the eyebrows. read more

The ladies are sweet and attentive but they don't respect your time when you make an appointment. They take walk-ins before you, and if they have a walk-in with a more expensive service at the same time as you, they will take that walk-in before you. My daughter and I like to have our nails done together and yet I had to wait 30 minutes before being seen, and then she had to wait 30 minutes waiting for me to be done. Poor customer service for basic nail service. When someone makes an appointment it's important to respect your customer's time. The only good thing they have going above other nail salons is that they offer a 10% discount for cash payment. But I think we will try another place next time. read more

I have been coming here for 11 years, never a problem. There is a system here for marking the tools for sanitizing, if you inquire they can explain. The tools are sealed in bags for sanitary reasons. Very nice, just ask! read more

The place was filthy. They tried to use unsanitary cuticle cutters on me. I saw where they came from they were not in a sealed package. I looked at them closely when they girl got up before she started there was red on them. Was it blood or nail polish I don't know. When I said something to her she didn't even open up a sanitary package which I saw in her drawer she tried to spray them down with a cleanser. I was not going to let them use those tools on me. I let them know the problem and left. Needless to say won't be going back. read more

I don't know why this place has four stars. I came here to get a manicure-pedicure and they did a very poor job. The skin near my cuticles is peeling (they are worse off than they were before) and my feet still has dead skin all over; this is even after I got a sea salt scrub, which they didn't tell me until I was at the cash register, about to pay, that it was $2 extra. Although it's a walking distance, I will not be coming here again. read more

We made an appt. with LC Nails. We were called to see if we would come in an hour later. Only having a babysitter for the hour, we declined, so we could keep the original appt. After sitting in the chair for 25 minutes soaking my feet, with my daughter's pedi almost done (and mine not started), I got up and paid for my daughter's. We then left. The purpose of the scheduled appointment was to have the two pedis simultaneously, not one after the other. read more

I went to the salon when visited Houston for a wedding and I was vey disappointed. I got my lip waxed and I warned to lady about my skin being very sensitive but I don't think she listened or maybe didn't understand. I guess the wax too hot because when she took it off I felt and a sharp pain and the my skin got burned. I got a bad scar on my lip and was unable to cover with any concealer. I didn't even want to go to the wedding with my face scared so badly. I wish I can upload the picture I took. I also got a manicure that was very badly done. The sides of my nails were not painted and there was nail polish on my skin, on the tips of my nails. Very unprofessional. I guess they are busy and don't pay too much attention. But as an individual you want things to be done right since you pay for their services. Not going back never again! read more
