I've been going here for quite a few years. And I used to do a full set and a pedicure every other week. However, I'm really rough with my hands and it just wasn't worth it to have repairs done all the time because I live like a rabbit raccoon. However, I do go get pedicures quite frequently (1-2 times/month)and I've never had a bad experience with the spa pedicures. Everyone is super friendly. They really do try to remember people's names. I've had quite a few favorite technicians there over the years. My Mom absolutely loved Moon when I would take her to get her nails done when she was still alive. I had a really bad experience here. I paid $80 just for my toes, and they didn't look good at all. My daughter also got her nails done by a girl named Moon, and she did them so fat and ugly. I told her not to make them thick, but she didn't listen and kept saying, "It's good." I also got gel on my nails, but it's only been two weeks, and all my nails have already fallen off! I don't recommend booking with Moon -- she doesn't do a good job and doesn't listen to what you want. read more

Pedi was ok not sure if the utensils and cheese grater used to scrape my feet were clean as they were just thrown in a plastic container with other implements not taken out of auto clave bags like other salons Mani was rushed and technician seemed to be distracted and wanted to be done with me. But the utensils used for mani came out of an auto clave bag which was good. I won't be back. Customer service is lacking. I will spend my 85+ dollars elsewhere read more

So someone that works here read my review from 7 months ago and thought it was funny so they voted it as funny, in my original post I was talking about how my gel French tips had turned brown after I think a week of my getting them from here. I was so upset and disappointed because my feet looked so ugly, my toes looks brown and gross and I paid 40 bucks for that crap. I don't know why someone who works here would think that is funny and not try to reach out to me to understand what went wrong but I digress. Much to my dismay I went back to this place to see how things have changed and I don't why I thought this place would be any better 7 months after. I came in with my boyfriend and I just wanted to get my toes done. As soon as I walked in everyone just looked at me not saying a word, no hello, no greeting, not even a smile. So I just look back at them and I can tell they have attitudes. They start asking what I need and when I tell them what I want they start talking amongst each other. It wasn't even busy and they said it'd be an hour wait. I don't know who is waiting an hour to get their toenails done but I wasn't. So I left. I highly don't recommend this place and I hope some of their workers take a good look at themselves and learn to treat people with respect. read more

This was a basic pedicure on a Saturday. The receptionlist barely looked up at me when she asked for the service I came in to have. I was given a gel polish book to chose a color. I was not getting a gel pedicure so I asked for cnc or dnd brand in white. Was led to the bowl for pedicure. Asked what type of pedicure I would have and I said basic. She said it would be very basic! They charge by the minute. I have been coming to this place off and on for 10 years. I used to love it until I noticed a marked difference in the service after the pandemic. I noticed the service for the White client is much more accommodating than the service provided to African Americans. The White client is asked for approval throughout the service. I was not consulTed at any point during my service until the nail enamel was completed. When I pointed out the polish looked uneven I was challenged by the technician who indicated that the problem was with my toe nails. I guess a pedicure no longer includes buffing to smooth out nails! So now I am sitting at the bowl drying while the technician services the client sitting next to me. She is White, so that's how I know for sure she is getting much better service than I. I can hear her being asked for approval at each step of the process. And the technician is all smiles! I hope my review is helpful to some of you who have experienced similar treatment when receiving personal service. I went here all the time in high school and felt it was good quality but in my last visit, I was horribly disappointed. It was my first time getting dip here and in 8 days, 3 of my nails have fallen off. For dip manicure, you pay $53 dollars (or $51 in cash) and I'm extremely disappointed I wasted over $50 dollars for my nails to look this poor a week later. I did go back after the first nail fell off and Helen fixed it free of charge of course! The next day, another one fell of. The day after, the third one fell off. Safe to say I will not be going to get dip here again and I suggest you stick to gel or regular! Also, make sure you are very clear on what shape you want your nails to be as all of mine look a little bit different. My daughter received a recommendation from her coworker to give Royal Nails a try. It was insanely busy but she was a walk in and was taken right away. She had her nails done in December 8th and here it is December 28th and they still look amazing !!!! Is it me?? It must be me. It has to be me. I came here following the stars, but I was disappointed, beyond repair, AGAIN. The banner, the huge one, one you can see from Pluto, stated that wine was offered here. I was, again, offered none. I asked for a gel set, I got shellac instead. I sat down and the lady seemed annoyed when she scraped my finger with the sharp end of her tool. She quickly finished taking off my gel and proceeded to start trimming and filing. She did NOT use individually wrapped instruments, and this place must be on a tight budget because she kept using and re-using the same half of a paper towel. My nail filings were all over the paper towel but she would shake it off quickly to the side (on the floor, not even in the vicinity of a trash can!!) and would wipe my hands with it. She seemed like she was a rush. The polish didn't even reach the end of my nails on the side. It clearly looked half finished. When I pointed it out to her, her response was "That's ok!" with a hand gesture that included a flip of the hand making it seem like I was making a big deal out of nothing. This disappointing and cruel experience cost me $30 plus tip. She even had the gall to tell me to come again if I liked it...3 times. I tried to be polite, but I got annoyed and told her "We'll see." Not worth your money at all. The only cool thing about this place that drew me in was that they had complimentary wine and the price was comparable to where I normally go. I got a manicure and a pedicure which cost me $35 total but I would spend more any day to actually leave happy. For starters, I almost bled to death here. She was not careful at all and when she was cleaning up my cuticles she made three of my nail beds to bleed. One of them was bleeding profusely and we spent a good 5-10 minutes with her trying to wipe it up and put something on it to try to make it stop bleeding (WHICH HURT LIKE HECK). Aside from the PAIN (which also left a mark), she had NO idea what I was requesting and I could not understand a thing she was saying which made the communication more than difficult. Also, she didn't know how to paint nails whatsoever. She missed SO MANY SPOTS I had to tell her to keep going back over certain areas which took the whole spa/relaxation feel out of things. I have been coming to Royal Nails on Three Chopt next to Westbury for a few years now and though I have admittedly tried other nail salons I have been very satisfied with the service this location provides. I have a favorite technician and she always does a perfect and professional job. I have only had one negative experience when my technician was on vacation and another person gave me a horrible pedicure and cut a toe and tried to act like it didn't happen, she ended up having someone else do my manicure which was perfectly fine with me. I usually like this place but I specifically told the lady how I wanted my nails shaped, showed her a picture and then asked her did she think that she could do it and she said yes. My nails were not done how I wanted them and they look pretty bad after telling her several times that I wanted them sharp and square on the corners. She then started to rush and I could tell that she had an attitude. She painted my toes and when she was done she just walked away and went to work on somebody else's nails without telling me my total or anything. I just received a reply from someone from Royal Nails saying I was attacking the owner with hatred in my review which I certainly have not done. I expressed truthful facts regarding my latest visit to the salon. Prior to this message I received tonight she had already sent me two very ugly messages last night. And per her words stated in the message tonight instructing me to find another salon I already had intentions not to return to her place of business and had stated that in my previous comment. I will not tolerate being spoken to in the manner in which she has written to me now totalling three times. I will follow through with contacting the Better Business Bureau first thing tomorrow morning. Again I find it a little unusual that one nail salon have so many written complaints from their customers and she replies to most of them apologizing and telling the customer that they will try harder to strive to be better. I had told the owner on my last visit when she told me she had read what I had written on yelp that there are nail salons on every corner and even though I had already paid I was reaching for my two nail polishes I had brought and would do my own nails at home. Yes, the nail technician grabbed my credit card which was under my car keys on the table and ran the charge time I sat down. All nail salons I have been to ask if it is okay for me to pay just prior to the person polishing my nails. She said to stay because she wouldn't me to write another comment on yelp and they want to satisfy their customers. The last two customers left while just prior to me going to the drying area. During the time I sat there I could see the owner talking to the cleaning lady about me and then she piddled around after she placed the nail polishes on the shelves. I was able to see her looking at me through the mirror like decoration on the table where I was sitting. Then she pulled around in her vehicle looking into the salon to see if I was still there at which time I was opening my car door. She then flew out of the parking lot. Since my nails were cut down to the nail beds I won't be needing a manicure any time soon and I walked into Royal Nails with long beautiful nails. I WOULD NOT HAVE WRITTEN THIS COMMENT IF THE OWNER HAD NOT SENT ME THREE UNNECESSARY UGLY MESSAGES. PS - SO WHEN I WENT TO ANOTHER NAIL SALON THE FOLLOWING NIGHT TO HAVE MY CUTICLES DONE SINCE APPARENTLY THEY WERE UNABLE TO THEM THE TECHNICIAN WHO WAS ASSIGNED TO ME SAID MY MANICURE LOOKED AS IF IT WAS DONE AT LEAST FOUR DAYS AGO SINCE THE POLISH DIDN'T COVER THE NAIL COMPLETELY ON THE SIDES OF A FEW NAILS NOR COME CLOSE TO THE CUTICLES. SHE ASKED ME IF I HAD DONE MY OWN NAILS AND I TOLD HER I HAD NOT BUT NOR DID I TELL HER MY NAILS WERE DONE AT ROYAL NAILS THE PRIOR EVENING. SO SAD ON MANY LEVELS! BUT MY NAILS LOOK LOVELY NOW AND UNFORTUNATELY I HAD TO PAY FOR TWO MANICURES AND ROYAL NAILS SHOULD REIMBURSE ME ESPECIALLY SINCE MY LONG BEAUTIFUL NAILS WERE CUT ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE NAIL BED BUT THE OWNER SAID "THEY WILL GROW BACK" WHEN SHE SAW THEM. Pedicure - just go for the basic, they will try to sell you up and it doesn't matter which service you think you buy, you're getting a basic. 3 techs sat in a row and laughed, giggled and talked to each other the whole time. Stumbled upon this place on a whim. Read a couple reviews for a few places nearby and thankfully picked this one. Walked in for a mani/pedi with dip with no wait time. There were plenty of staff for a busy Sunday afternoon. The interior is clean and nicely decorated. My nail technician was so sweet and friendly. I was offered a glass of wine when I sat down in my chair. She spent almost two hours and was extremely precise with both my nails and toes. I was expecting to pay over $80 for my service, but was pleasantly surprised my total was less than 60 with a cash discount. I don't think I've ever had a better mani/pedi. This place is large so you never have to wait long (even without an appt). Its also very clean and comfortable. Hanna is my girl! She takes the time to deal with my ingrown nails and her polish always lasts. The best part is relaxing in the pedicure chair with a complimentary glass of wine.
