I want to start this by saying my tech was very kind, and prices are affordable. The vibe was relaxing, aside from insanely bright lights. That being said, I am incredibly dissatisfied and disappointed with how my brows came out. When I saw the shape after threading was done, but before the tint, I asked if she could make my brows slightly more thin, with a more defined arch. It felt like the ends of my brow were dragging my face down. She agreed and then continued on and then tinted. I think she saw the shock on my face after seeing the final product and said the thickness is due to dye on the skin and will fade. The color faded, but my brows are still very thick, and the ends are still dragging. On top of that my left eyebrow is sitting about 1/3 of an inch higher than my right eyebrow. My left eyebrow also has a completely different arch. I also asked for a medium brown (lighter than my natural head hair) and instead got darker. I included pictures for reference. I used grid to make sure my face was perfectly straight and level while facing the camera, to show the difference in my brow shape, thickness, and height of each brow. Maybe it was a fluke because the reviews are generally good, which is why I was excited to try this place. But I'm left feeling insecure with my think, lopsided and unevenly shaped brows. Will now have to go somewhere else and pay more money for a service that should've been done with more attention to detail. read more

I live in NOVA and I work in Rockville MD and I've tried many other threading locations in these areas but I still have yet to find a place that compares to here. I am very disappointed in how the salon created an unsafe environment by mopping, leaving a slick floor without a sign warning customers. I TOLD the owner Bushra I needed to used the restroom, she said ok. So she was AWARE I was headed in that direction. So as I walked down the hallway, I slipped--twisting my ankle and hyperextended my knee--bumped my elbow on the wall and jerked my body around pretty good to try to keep from actually hitting the floor. The owner was strangely directly behind me at this time and says "I was watching you walk bc I wasn't sure if the floor was still wet!!!" WHAT!!?! You mean to tell me you knew the floor had the potential to be wet, but instead just "watched me walk" because you "weren't sure"?!? Negligence at its highest!! Then we BOTH rubbed our feet across the extremely SLICK floor!! And she said yes very slippery here! Fast forward, I let her know how angry I was and repeated exactly what she had JUST said--and immediately she starts to deny saying it! She knew she had messed completely up. I told her I needed to file some sort of incident report about what had occurred to have a record--she says "oh I don't have anything like that, this has never happened before." I said well I'm glad it hasn't happened before, so this is your first time to get experience with what needs to be done, and we need to have something documenting what happened here. She said "well I'm right here and know what happened"--and so were 2 other employees--and 2 customers (though they didn't actually see what happened bc their backs were turned). They could certainly hear those words come out of her mouth! Bushra then says "call me in the morning if you're not feeling better". Ha! I texted her shop the next day--letting her know that I was still not feeling great and would go to the doc to get checked out. This lady denied it all--went as far as to say that I slipped bc the heel on my shoe broke, and that they hadn't mopped the entire day! I let her know that I do have an audio recording of the employee stating she had just mopped 15 mins earlier. I also have pictures of my shoes fully intact with nothing wrong with them! I'm so disappointed by the lack of professionalism and outright lies and their denying any liability!! If only they would have just handled this with decency and morality! You can't trust a place like this that will blatantly lie like this. I was a loyal customer who had gone there for years and years--since they opened!! I have been going to the same threader for five years and grew tired of the constant butchering for my brows. As I have thick brows, I was so nervous about going to someone new, as the margin for error runs oh so high. I found Khilat on yelp. Although there were t many reviews, the ones for threading were good so so figured what the hell. I popped in on a Friday afternoon. The salon is cute, clean and calming, with soothing music playing in the background. I was immediately taken back by Soobah (spell?) and explained my dilemma. She was so lovely. She started threading and stopped midway to show my my brow, which I appreciated so much. Long story short, she did an amazing job. Even finishing by wiping some aloe on my skin to prevent irritation later. I have found my new place and am just so excited!!! read more

I was looking for a new business after moving to the area and I must say Yelp did it again! I've gotten my eyebrows threaded many times here (I don't always remember to check in) and every time I leave with perfect brows just the way I wanted! I've also gotten my upper lip threaded here and the very first time it took me by surprise when the lady also threaded the hair under the lower lips. Obviously threading is going to hurt, but thats just the nature of it. They have plans that you could purchase to save a few bucks. At the same time they're also not pushy about it which I appreciate. I also like that you can text them to schedule an appointment so scheduling is always a breeze. The place is clean and the ladies here are professional and very approachable. This was the most painful wax I've ever had. I went here for a Brazilian wax that I purchased on Groupon. If this was the first time I had been waxed I would never do it again. Luckily I know that it isn't supposed to hurt like that. I write this to hopefully save someone from the torture I just experienced. I actually sat up and screamed ouch when she pulled on the wax on my outer labia without actually removing the hair. I have a high threshold for pain and have had many waxes. This was so much more painful than I even imagined it could be. This business should stick to threading. It's been at least 30 minutes since I left and it still hurts. I recently purchased a Groupon for a Brazilian Wax and was pleasantly surprised at how thorough the wax turned out. I'd been long overdue and my waxer made sure to get me as clean as possible. She reassured me her process of using a combination of strips and hard wax and pulling in the direction of hair growth to promote safely damaging the hair follicles without causing ingrown hairs. This would in turn cause the hair to grow back a lot less and in a finer grain. She was very sweet and polite the entire time and tried to make me as comfortable as possible. Unlike any other wax I've received, she not only applied aftercare product but she also wiped me from front to back like a baby with a hot washcloth which was very soothing considering how sensitive the skin is after such procedure. I was so impressed I left a hefty tip and recommended this location to friends for their Brazilian Wax needs. read more

She was fast and thorough, and explained everything to me very well, using 3 different waxes depending on the area and hair texture/direction. I've been going here for a while and I went in today at 5:45 to get my eyebrows threaded as usual. My eyebrows are always thick and I come in only for a clean up. In the beginning of the session I was asked by this girl if I would like to keep my thickness (she should know since she has been doing my eyebrows for the longest time :) ) and I said yes. A few minutes later she is done with one side and I look in the mirror and my eyebrow is thinner than it ever has been. I told her this is not what I wanted and this is never how it is when I come here. She then began to explain to me that my eyebrow had gaps in it and how I haven't been there for a month. Well my eyebrows pretty much have gaps anyways but my thickness is still the same no matter what. If you have been doing my eyebrows the same way for months and all of a sudden you change it, then that is a problem. She then began to say how she should've told me beforehand what she was going to do etc knowing her mistake. Never going back to this place again. Some advice to you working there, ask your client before you take off more than half of their eyebrows :) read more
