I highly highly recommend making your appointment online as they can get extremely busy. My brows aren't really thick and more-so lose shape when they grow out vs getting bushy so I usually come every 4 weeks or schedule around events/holidays. I love that Swatsy let's me check out my brows before leaving. After reading most of the glowing reviews here and months of letting my eyebrows become a mess, I booked an appointment for eyebrow threading. I wanted Swatsy, since most of the reviews mentioned her name, but she wasn't available for the time I needed. Sita did my brows and did a nice job. This was my first time with threading, and she didn't ask me what I wanted done--just sat me down and went to work, but my brows turned out much better than when I walked in. I didn't have to wait long, and the threading itself took maybe 5 minutes or less. I wasn't sure what to expect pain-wise, but I didn't find this painful. Maybe slightly uncomfortable, especially on the tender underside of my brows, but nothing even compared to the first shock of a wax. Will definitely return. P.S. for any other directionally-challenged people, Miracle Browz is squeezed right next door to the international grocery store and between the pizza and vapes place. Google maps told me it was next to the Goodwill donation center by Dyer Immigration, but it's NOT. I feel I should preface this review by saying that I was THAT girl in high school: the clueless one with over-plucked, thin, tiny brows that were too arched and too short for my face. I totally didn't have a clue about just how much eyebrows define your face. In college I saw the light and began growing them out; I started letting them take their natural shape, and just plucking the strays. Flash forward a few years and I finally decided to trust someone else with my brows: thus began my yelp search for my future eyebrow guru! After seeing all the rave reviews about Miracle Browz and all the hype about Swasty, I am happy to say it's all true! I was really scared, not because of the pain, (everybody says threading hurts way less than waxing!) but because I didn't want to go back to my bad eyebrow ways. The first thing Swasty did was ask if I wanted to keep my brows thick, she said she could tell just by looking at my skin that it was sensitive (she's right! I used to be red and breakout for a while after waxing!) and she said threading is much less harsh. She talked to me about where my brows should start and end and how the inside of my brows should fall in line with the ends. I never knew my brows had a natural arch but somehow she found it! Now I do have to mention, maybe I'm a bit of a wimp...but I did think threading hurt a little. Definitely nothing crazy, and she said the more I go the less it will hurt (plus there will be less to pluck next time!) So, just be prepared for a little discomfort if it's your first time. But overall, Miracle Browz is amazing and my eyebrows have never looked so good! read more

Lovely ladies! Swasty did an amazing job on my brow shape (thread) and tint. So nice to not have to fill in my brows for a couple of weeks!! She did it on Christmas Eve, last minute, and took such care to do a beautiful job. Note for sensitive skin folks: My skin can be sensitive, so, as expected, I had some mild irritation from the dye later that evening. I don't get my brows done often, but when I do I go to Miracle Browz. The prices are incredibly reasonable, about $12 to either thread or wax your eyebrows, and I'm always able to walk in without an appointment and be served quickly. The staff is polite and good at what they do, although some good natured teasing is not uncommon (technicians always love to tell me that my brows are naturally uneven and differently arched). There are a lot of great waxing and threading studios around Richmond, but I see no reason to go somewhere else and pay more for the exact same results. read more

Really sad that I moved across town and will have to travel farther to get my brows done. But it's worth the trip. And I'm not going anywhere else. I love this salon. I'm very serious about my brows. Since going to miracle browz I've been able to comfortably grow them out without looking absolutely crazy. I constantly go to different girls in the salon, some are better at shaping than others, but I'm never disappointed. I've never had Swasty because I'm never disciplined enough to make an appointment. One thing I really appreciate about the techs at miracle browz is they always err on the side of caution and let you decide how much you want to take off and always know exactly how much to take off when I say "they feel a little too thick" or "Can we do just a little more under my arch". A resounding, enthusiastic 5 star review for Miracle Browz. I've been having major problems with skin irritation after getting waxes so I thought I would go back to threading and see if that made a difference. It's day 2 and I'm disappointed that I still definitely had a breakout but this is the best my eyebrows have ever looked. Ever! Swastika took excellent care of me and I was done in about 15 minutes. I grew my eyebrows out for about 2 months. Yes, they were looking real ratchet before Swastika worked her magic. It was actually quite embarrassing. This post is only for the eyebrow threading. I was very happy with that service, and I would recommend that and would give that 5 stars. I would give my lashes 1 star so I averaged it at 3 stars. I had a clump lash extension service for 40.00 that I would not recommend to anyone. My technician was very nice but only had 3 months of experience which I was not aware of until after she began. Some of the lashes had two or three clumps stacked which were very heavy and others were glued to my eyelids. My lashes started to fall off as I left the shop. I was told I could come back within 3 days to have them fixed if they fell off. I decided I did not feel comfortable with them working on my lashes and did not return. When my fake lashes fell out it was sadly along with many of my own lashes, that was with me not rubbing or even getting my lashes wet. Trust me get actual extensions not the inexpensive 40.00 version that some salons call extensions, because you definitely get what you pay for. read more

Listened to reviewers and went to sita for my brows and she sucks!!! She brushed my eyebrows down and trimmed them so bad they're all different lengths and she made my eyebrows straight. I had a lot of hair to work with and she still did a bad job I'm never going back! Also she didn't sanitize her hands when she started and their chairs are uncomfortable--your neck will be sore by the end. Never again! read more

Found this place to be convenient with great service. The women are super nice and listen to your needs. I only get my eyebrows done so I can't rate on any other service. I've never had an issue with the outcome of my brows so I don't have a reason to try other places. Even though I had a car emergency and was stranded, as a courtesy I immediately called (20 minutes prior to my appointment) to notify them, yet they insisted on charging me the 50% cancellation fee. I cannot say enough good things about Miracle Browz. I got mine waxed in nail salons all growing up and they surprisingly weren't thin, just lifeless and flat. I started to get my eyebrows threaded a few years ago from a different place and I loved it compared to waxing. The longer I went there the more I felt that my eyebrows were getting thinner. There was a point where my eyebrows were SO thin that I couldn't do it anymore. I grew mine out and decided to give another place a try. After reading the Yelp reviews, I knew this was the place for me. Let me just say that whatever they use/do to thread here hurts about 90% less than the last place I went to. They ask you about your shape, fill in your brows, show you along the way. They know that it's better and more in style now to have thicker brows. I'm so happy that I found this place. I have had good results with the other workers, and sometimes I was a little upset with them. I now request Swasti every time and I never leave upset. She is so damn good! Given all the awesome Yelp reviews I was excited to check out Miracle Browz. A place that specializes in just brows (and eyelashes) - how awesome! I stopped by on a Wednesday evening and had no problem getting a walk-in appt to have my brows threaded. The outcome - my brows look good, but they are now much-much thinner than I would like (thicker brows are in style, right?). Granted, I didn't say anything about wanting to keep them thick, but I assumed either they would ask me if I wanted to go thinner or keep the style/thickness I had...wrong! I can't only fault them but so much since I would/could have said something, but now I have wasted a year of growing them out, sigh. Lesson learned. Psssssst, you can book an appointment on-line as I've heard they can get quite busy on the weekends. You walk in to a lovely salon, there are couches in the front lobby in case you do have to wait. You sign in by plugging your phone number into a mini ipad and you can select your services there. Once they're ready for you, you walk to the back salon area. Uh...this was great. I literally had painless threading for the first time in 11 years. I had been going to Style by Zarah for 11 years and I had finally had enough of them trying to force me to make an appointment (my schedule is highly erratic as I'm a traveling sales rep) and losing all of the techs I liked. After being turned away for a second time by SBZ on a Monday because they were "only open for training" (update your hours on your website!!) I decided to go rogue and try someplace new. So glad I did!!! I got right in and the tech quickly and painlessly threaded my brows beautifully. Let me repeat that: PAINLESSLY. I hadn't been threaded in two months. She finished my second one and I was all done and out the door. Since the place is dimly lit I come back out and take a look at my eyebrows and my right one is just wrecked. THREADING: The main girl/lady who most people request is as kind as they say, but I was disappointed w. her service on my eyebrows. She gave good advice about care and maintenance, but she over-threaded my eyebrows and they are now too thin. This is extremely disappointing because I'd finally gotten my eyebrows to grow to the width and shape I wanted them at. Now, I have to start over and they don't grow in the right places at a convenient rate, in contrast they grow quite slow! I mentioned that I wanted to keep the thickness I had and she proceeded to make them thinner and raise the bottom line higher, such as a male barber may devastatingly push a male's hairline back. So if you can understand, you know this was more than aggravating. However, I should know her name, but the other girl that you may often see at the checkout counter- when s h e did my eyebrows that ended up great and she listened to my requests. I would return but I PERSONALLY would be weary of going to the sought after threader I initially spoke of. HENNA: The main girl also did my henna (picture posted). This is hands down the best place in Richmond to get your eyebrows done. I can't believe I didn't find this cosmetic gem sooner. If you are looking for a place to get your eyebrows done right then you need to run to Miracle Browz. I had been playing Russian Roulette trying to find a place that was consistent and would not butcher my precious facial hairs. My coworker recommended Miracle Browz and I am so happy she did. They use thread to shape your brows, which last much longer than waxing or razors. They also show you how to fill in your brows if you have some sparse areas. On my first visit due to previous handling I had some thin areas. Swatzy left my eyebrow shape full and arched. My brows are now back to their former glory, full but shaped. On my most recent visit I didn't even need powder. I am so happy with the results. Also the price is great. $10 compared to the $20 I would pay when I would get my brows done at The Benefit Brow Bar at Ulta, when I could get an appointment. 50% cheaper but a longer return and they welcome walk ins. I absolutely LOVE this place! I'm a makeup artist and I'm very picky about who does my brows but thankfully I'm a very happy costumer! She gives you the most perfect eyebrow shape and if your eyebrows need a little extra TLC she definitely takes her time and explains everything. I also get my upper lip waxed and I'm very sensitive so I can't use the soft wax so she's very gentle and changed the wax for me so I don't get a burn. I also wax basically everything with her (pits/ legs/ bikini/ etc) and she doesn't make me feel uncomfortable at all. I have very dark strong hair and she knows how to help me.
