Oh, how fabulous! I had been meaning to come here for awhile. It was a quiet night and we arrived late and sat outside. The kids had ice cream and we had some stuffed jalapeños. We had just eaten dinner, so we weren't starved. Also had two old fashioned, which were above average, but not the best I've ever tried. I like the quick and efficient service and ordering system at the counter. Can't wait to come back and actually try some of the beers here!

A microbrew in the heart of Jackson Township and a great stop for quality beer!! The beer brings back memories from my time living in Europe and I guarantee that you won't find better anywhere else locally. In addition to the amazing beer, they have a decent selection of appetizers and flat breads if you are hungry. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about beers and the process. One thing that annoys me when going into a craft beer bar is the staff not knowing about the intricacies of the different selections. But that was not the case here, they explained in detail the different brews. They also have a pretty nice patio out front so you can enjoy your beer and food outside. I highly recommend them and would give 6 stars if Yelp allowed.

Royal Docks is a successful brewery. It's located in Jackson Township close to Canton. They have so many beers on tap. All of these are good. They also have a small food menu. All the beer that I've tried is good. It has a variety of styles. They have some very hoppy and some are sweet. A sweet one is the Crime Of Passionfruit. It's about $5 for a pint. This is kind of like mixing beer and juice, it's too sweet. As for the food, it's not bad. The food is an afterthought, it seems. It just takes so long to order anything. They will take forever to make it, so only order if you have plenty of time. Beer is the important thing here. It's good. Just get that.

We were referred by the owner of Lost Trail Winery about this place. We haven't been to a brewery in the area previously. We stopped here and another brewery on this day. Stopped and selected 6 beers to sample. Each of the beers were refreshing and good. I was happy to have the opportunity to try the beer. I took a 4 pack of the west coast IPA home. They had another beer that tasted so darn good called the Savoir Faire which was so damn good. It had raspberry and blackberry sweetness with chocolaty malt. Unbelievable but wasn't available to take home. I highly recommend checking this place if you are near the brewery.

I loved Royal Docks! Service was excellent. I really enjoyed all the beers. The Vlad and the Woodruff were standouts. You can get beers on cask if that's your thing. I actually really dug the atmosphere (the music specifically). I ordered a Thai Peanut flatbread and crushed it all. I will definitely be back when I am in town again.

Black Christmas. If you know their beers this is a combo of the Vlad and the Yuletide. Very good

Love this place. They have great food and good beers. Tonight my wife and I just stopped in for a beer and to get our brew path passport stamped. Been here multiple times before, they have great flatbreads and a good selection of great beers.

I have rediscovered royal docks in the last couple months and have been there a few times. They recently updated their menu and happy hour. All around fair prices and great food. I still view this more of a social brew pub and that is perfect since we don't have anything like that in the north canton area The only thing I would change is he weather so you can enjoy their patio all the time!!!

This might be the best of the brew houses trending right now. The food is consistently great- tastes fresh, and everything I've tried has bold flavor. The flatbreads are great, my favorite is still the scotch egg. Salads and soup have all made me happy. The chicken and waffles, while not the best I've ever had, was a huge portion- chicken was crunchy outside and waffles were crisp and fluffy outside on the inside. The only dish I don't understand is the jalapeño poppers- the peppers were raw, making them tongue burningly uncomfortable. The beers are amazing. Go for Yuletide alone. The spicy notes hit your nose first, and the taste puts any other Christmas ale to shame. (Drink while cold though, not good if allowed to go warm). The other standout is the Deathly Mallows, dark, chocolaty, with toasted marshmallow top notes. Baba Yaga is the other regular favorite. These beers are really the only brand I've tried where I can taste all of the notes listed in the description, a taste explosion versus a sweet, muddled, bud light flavor. Service- even though you technically order at the counter, they have amazing staff who check on you and bring your items to the table.

This was a disappointing visit. :( I have been dying to visit royal docks for months now and we made it our final stop on a trip to Akron/canton from Columbus. We weren't greeted and waited quite a while at 2 of the only 6ish bar stool seats to be noticed. People kept coming up right next to me to get served and finally a guy asked if we were doing ok. No.. we'd like beer or a hi or anything. Got a flight of 4 and were disappointed. Of the 3 breweries we visited today this is the least desirable and it was supposed to be the grand finale. Bummer :(

We love this place! Their flatbreads are delicious as is their selection of beer. I tried the French onion soup tonight which was very good but the buffalo loaded fries were HOT. It mentioned ghost pepper cheese but these verged on inedible which was a bummer. I would stay away from those and try the pretzel or tots app. Staff is super friendly and attentive and it's a very clean, nice place.

Ok, this place was great. We got there early and were able to grab a table for 12. The waiter and waitresses were friendly and helpful. They had good food and delicious beer. I got the cherry gose, loaded fries, and hummus platter. It was all great! I really enjoyed being here and will definitely return. It's a great atmosphere and a fun place to be early in the evening.

Am I allowed to say da*n in a review? Cause Royal Docks Brewing done did the da*n thing!! My friend and I were looking for a low key place to have couple of drinks and play some chess. We brought our own board and showed up around 4pm. There was only one other table there, and the friendly staff were all wearing masks. They also had hand sanitizer readily available and all tables were placed a significant distance apart. I also loved that you could place orders and pay on your phone. On top of the great service, both the food and drinks were next level. We ordered two flights and adored every beer. The PAV's blonde stout was unlike anything I'd ever had and stood out as one of the best beers I'd ever consumed. We shared the jalapeño poppers, Loaded Mexican fries and a Dutch egg flatbread. (Pardon the lack of use of actual menu names. I forgot to note them!) Literally every single beer and food item we had was mind blowing. The atmosphere was chill and welcoming. I cannot recommend Royal Docks enough and will certainly be bringing all of my friends here.

Well it's been almost a year that I attended the grand opening of Royal Docks last September and I must say that after that first night along with thousands of other people . I knew this brewery was headed in the right direction for great things to come. Since the grand opening I've come to know John, Adriana, Dave and many of the staff (which I now call friends). It's a great place to have a fresh brewed beer, small plate, or a mixed drink. It's a great place to meet people and make new friends. This place has something for everyone, from the sporting events on the large projection screen, the Sunday morning yoga, the Tap Into Painting once a month, the Porsche Club, to the best music in town on Fridays and Saturdays. John and Adriana are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and it's passed along to their staff. From the regulars to the first timers that walk in, everyone is greeted with a smile and made to feel at home.. Brewmaster Dave Sutula has created and continues to create some of the best beers in town and has even won several awards for their beers. Just to name a few of my favorites (though I like all of them) 67 Alaska, The Tanglefoot IPA, One Sweet Dream, Daemonium, DLR to the award winning Vlad the Impaler, plus several other beers that I haven't mentioned. Talking with Dave. I feel that other then his family, he lives, eats and breathes beer. If you would ask him he would tell you it's in his blood. I'm looking forward to seeing what Royal Docks has in store for their upcoming sophomore year. From what I've read there will be a new taproom and canning facility in Green. To John, Adriana, Dave and the great staff at Royal Docks - I lift up my glass to you!!! Cheers!! read more

Great European flair right in Stark county! It reminds me a lot of places I have dined in Europe. The beers are of such variety it makes it so nice to walk in and know anyone you have with you should be able to find one they like. There is always a new beer to look forward too. I get bored of beers quickly so to have flights are so perfect for me and they always have something new to try, such a good variety! Downstream Jam is sooo good! It is so easy to drink! The flatbreads have all been awesome! Very consistent food here. The Parmesan tots are so yummy and my whole family loved the chicken and waffles (with salted Carmel!) yum best around for sure!! The staff is extremely bubbly and fun to be around! Awesome management! They all have such a great passion for the brewery. We are extremely fortunate to have this business in our backyard! Now go to take your pup and sit out by the fire soon as we are allowed back out on the town! They do great carry out too during Covid! read more

We were very pleased with our visit. Maja, the manager, met us immediately at the door and as a new customer showed us "the ropes" and was very accommodating . I would highly recommend the "Yuletide " which rivals Christmas Ale . I had a Margarita flatbread which was delivered quickly and was delicious! My family went here for dinner and to me this was very mediocre. Beer wasn't that impressive, and food was even worse. The only thing I did like about the restaurant was the environment and good music. An establishment like this wouldn't last in a bigger city. Take the 40 minute drive and go to a real brewery like Great Lakes in Cleveland. read more

stopped in last night for first time. Beers are very tasty and thats coming from someone who usually doesn't like craft beers, I met one of the owners and she is very friendly and great to talk to, the servers are all quick to help and also easy to talk to which does give the brewery that homey neighborhood pub feeling that the owners are trying to develop and if you need help deciding on a beers to drink try the sampler or better yet speak to Ian who is very knowledgable about all things in brewery especially their beers and is a great help in helping you pick your next favorite beer. Tonight we stopped in and we're visiting for one night. We enjoy great beers and good food and found this place on yelp. Fouad was our bartender and was fantastic. We had a southwestern flatbread, salad, and sliders(nightly special) which were also very good. We tried multiple home beers and were not disappointed. The service was very engaging and we could not speak about one negative point when we were leaving. Would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who likes good beer, friendly service, and tremendous food. Also, the sour ale is amazing!! read more

This has to be the best thing that happened to the Canton area in a long time, especially if you are a beer enthusiast! :) I visit my parents in Canton pretty much every bigger holiday weekend, and while at the Nobles Pond Oktoberfest this Labor Day weekend we stopped by this brewery! First let me say that after we waited in line for 10 min, we got to enjoy some of the best beer I've ever had! Second, the English pub set-up was something unique and elegant, something I've niece experienced before, and the bartenders were very knowledgable in all the beers, even tho they have just recently opened! I now have an extra incentive to go visit my parents more often! read more

Had the pleasure of visiting this brewery while in town. Spot on as to what a brewery should be. Enjoyed the beers, great food menu and atmosphere. Nice to see different as they've done a great job! Went in looking for a good beer at the recommendation of a bartender from a place close by and walked away with a new favorite spot. Had the opportunity to chat with staff and owner who you can tell knows what people are looking for. Can't overlook the cleanliness of this place either! The beers were fantastic; a great variety with solid flavors. I loved the open atmosphere. It was easy to see everything going on and made it easy to socialize. I'm anxious to come back in the summer to use the patio. They even have a nice little section with some furniture and a cow hide rug! Finally, the staff was super friendly! read more

I absolutely love this place! It literally has it all! The ambient is beautiful ,feels so British,it stands out from the minute you enter the door. And it only gets better! The beer is rich and tasty and they have options for every taste ( not to mention that usually I am not a beer drinker ). The food is fresh and delicious. The staff very helpful and knowledgeable! My friends were playing on a Saturday night. Drove an hour each way but its an easy drive. Beers were OK. Some of the fruit beers (IPA of course) were covering up some funk. Didn't see any lagers. Place was packed but we were lucky to get a seat. The whole order at the bar is annoying. Not because I'm lazy and want people to wait on me, its because everything I needed I had to get up and re-wait in line again. Most places would have damn bottle of hot sauce laying around. Not here, wait in line for 5 minutes and they reappear with a fancy cup of Franks. Napkins? Wait in line again. Its obnoxious. The meatballs seemed like the one that come in Spaghetti O's. I liked them, but weird texture. Also, place is modeled after British style places. Kitschy, but England has done some crazy stuff over the past few millennia. Of the 200 countries out there, they have invaded all but 22. Jolly ole' place. I say.... read more

Went here for the first time recently. The 67 Alaska was delicious! My party also ordered food. I tried the Tutti Frutti flatbread, one friend ordered the fish and chips, and another friend ordered the BLT sliders. We ordered at the bar at the same time, but the food came out at completely different times. The fish and chips came out first. He was almost done with his dish, which he liked, when the BLT sliders arrived. My friend had to send them back because the buns were so stale and the bacon was freezing. My flatbread came out last, even after the BLT sliders were brought out for the second time. The taste was good and unique, but I didn't like having to watch everyone else eat while I waited twenty minutes for my flatbread. I also had to ask multiple servers to be able to get napkins because my flatbread was falling apart. Overall my experience was mediocre at best. I might give it another try though. read more

She used a piece of paper to go over the small plate specials as there were more on her list than on the menu. Glasses of water arrived with quickness and our beverages came shortly thereafter. My pint of Blue Moon came with a pour about an inch and a quarter from the top and below temperature. I find that when you see over 8 handles from one horizontal tower you lose temperature control on the first pour. We started off with some small plates: Spanakopita Eggrolls- which included your traditional flavor and a wonton wrapper and they were okay. The Special Small Plates- Honey Walnut Shrimp arrived with Brussel Sprouts which weren't advertised but we were okay with. This sweet dish was very not sugar friendly and the shrimp lacked crispness. In fact the coating was so soggy that the batter just came off when picking it up. The pricey Vietnamese shrimp and crab cakes (Small Pates) were also average. You definitely picked up on the amount of filler at first bite and also noticed that the center was not at temperature and too creamy. Our main dishes showed and my wife opted for the Special Main: Cod, but she thought it was so so especially at the price charged. My Pork Chop was cooked to my requested temperature and needed some help with the salt and pepper shaker. The accompanying pasta was very firm and had enough Olive Oil on the plate to to help out the pasta. The green beans were fine. There was no dessert for us, but our server used her trusty paper to give us the run down on their desserts. I boxed up my remaining leftovers and paid the check. Be advised that everyone is now charging a percentage for using a credit card, so be advised as it is listed at the very bottom of their menu.

I was humiliated and treated like a little child, I was on the Dock's VERY large totally outdoor patio,no Awnings or anything. I got a beer that was OK, but I can name several that are more tasty. Had an order of soggy fish and chips, palateable, but something I would get at Denny's. I asked the Bartender, who you have to give your order to like at McDonalds. I asked if I could smoke a cigar on the patio, he said yes, no problem, there were no "no smoking" signs. PLENTY OF CIGARETTE SMOKERS! And listed smoking permitted outside on Yelp! So I purposely go to the outer part of the large patio area, ate my fish, afterwards, I asked the people on both sides of me if they minded. Lit up my $18 cigar, a Padron Anniversario 1926. I had two pints, the wind was pushing the smoke out to the parking lot! As I was at the end of my cigar some little Pudgy kid ununiformed 20-25, said I was violating state law, which I was not and " I had to stand in the corner to finish my drink with the cigar", I was pointed to a dark corner where only 1 person could fit. I am not 5 Not 25, Over 35! Why would ALL of the severs come and go for over an hour and have the people on each side converse with me, then suddenly some pudgly little Punk try to lie to me about the law!!!!, go against the point of having a patio in Ohio at a Bar, and told to stand in a corner to finish my Mediocre beer that cost more than $8. My Prediction, after the summer this place will not survive the winter, with their noisy little beer hall with gross British Foods only on the menu hard furniture and concrete floors. And liquor selection smaller than I keep at home THE BIGGEST PROBLEM: The Ownership, Management and Employees, should have a policy about smoking on their patio and have this policy posted in Conspicuous Places. Then they should not discrimate between Cigarette or Cigar Smokers, whats the difference, they are both Tobacco being smoked, in fact one all natural and one with added chemichals.!!!!! Don't waste your time, don't be treated like the 4 year old that wet his pants and has to stand in the corner, the beer is Nothing Special, other than It was made their. Beers were between $6 and $8.50 a pint. The ONLY Time I have been shamed by ANYONE especially a twentysomething in a Restaurant or Bar, Ever!!!!!!!! I have in a Very Nice carpeted restaurant (indoors) in Northern Kentucky been asked very politely and offered another glass of Wine if I finished my cigar on their patio, not a Concrete Beer Hall with a live band at Dusk. And was said to me in this manor. "I would be happy to give you a complimentary glass of wine if you finshed smoking on our patio." We visited several breweries on 10/17/15, and by far this was our favorite. We made ourselves comfortable at the bar and were warmly welcomed by Ian and Tiffany and John, who have great attitudes and definitely know their beer business. After we made our beer selections, we looked around and appreciated the unique decor of the place. It's obvious that a lot of thought and care went into making this an establishment that people will want to return to. The beer was exceptional. The Tanglefoot IPA and the Prodigal Sun Cask Ale were fantastic! We also completely enjoyed the 67 Alaska, but of course, all of the beer we tried was great! John, the owner, greeted us and made sure we were having a great time. On our next trip, we will be prepared to sample items from the food menu as it has great potential! read more

This place is what Stark County needed! Beers are excellent and on point to what you will find in the UK. They have 3-4 beers that are always in there rotation but also introduce some pretty awesome others, 8-10 in total. Dæmonium is there most recent beer which is a Belgian-style strong golden ale born and bred in the wood barrels they have in the taproom. The food is very unique with flatbreads, small plates, and of course the traditional fish and chips. The patio they have is amazing! The beer was tasty, the olives were different but devoured ... AND the chef has perfected the art of no-grease "frying". -You want wings, battered fish or fries CRISPY? Done! -Want them a bit softer, and wings saucier? Done! -Want them all soft and chewy instead? Done! The portions are smaller than mainstream gluttony and are priced just right in case you want to double up on wings or more, and skip the oh-so-awesome Flatbreads (which you won't, trust me)! Great beer, great place, great people, great atmosphere. If you want to have a good time, check this place out. Facilities are super clean, the staff is well on top on cleaning up after others have left. You don't feel that dirty vibe as you get from some other pubs. The nice thing is, this is a different experience than anywhere else around. It has the home feel of a classic London pub, but brought with it the willingness to get loud. I have been drug here a few times. It is loud, no Wait Staff, bad acoustics. Very Loud. C quality beer. I have never had more than one beer here. Anyone who gives youa one or two to The Royal Docks, the owners son calls them drunks, said they shouldn't have driven home. If your critical of this loud, order everything at the bar and get some time in the afterlife place they go for the jugular in slamming you. read more
