Great local brewery, they have rotating drafts along with a few staples. We love River stix monster double IPA It's our favorite hands down. We just tried their papa elf, and while I couldn't drink more than a glass of it, it was FULL of every flavor that screams Christmas in a glass. They have really good pizzas and just added a couple new flavors to their menu. We've only drank outside since covid has started and the chairs are spaced farther apart and all the staff was wearing a mask and amazing at keeping everyone with their own parties and spaced. Very impressed by the beer here. I ordered a flight and my favorite was the devil woman. The description itself was interesting "Belgian, IPA, red ale". Three things I would never expect to find in the same beer. So... For the past 5 years I specifically drive our of town for my microbrew. Small batch consistency is uncommon. River Styx Monster flavor is imprinted in my amygdala. I try most of the new batch IPA's with one drawback: When they're done, regardless of how much I enjoyed them, they're done. They may not batch them again after which I cry in my River Styx Monster. What a fantastic thing to have a brewery, of all things, in this little Wadsworth town. I think this place is exactly what we needed to boost downtown. Wadsworth has been working on filling up its store fronts with places that have staying power and to have a place that brings the folks, let's them sip, bring kids, and look around at the town before them, cool man. It could use some speakers for the TV and music for those hanging around, but maybe with time. Word on the street is they have food coming soon and will start serving wine, but for now you can eat complimentary popcorn or have your local Dominos delivered and wait for your food while playing a board game or chatting with friends. For families with kids, it's a safe place to bring them. If mom and dad need some refreshment, the kids are welcome. Walk on down and try the "College Street" or one of their new brews. Quirky little spot in downtown Wadsworth, about 45 minutes from Cleveland. The interior is small and initimate in a nice way with all the brewing happening in a closed basement downstairs. Plenty of bar seating and a TV for watching...Star Wars. That is what was playing instead of the NBA playoffs and the bar patrons were loving it lol. The bartenders were super friendly, includung the head brewer who also worked behind the bar and enaged with patrons. I ordered a flight and they provided good suggestions based on my flavor preferences. Tasty beer especially the Custard Hook which tasted like a chocolate covered raspberry. They provided free popcorn at the bar, but there is not much food beyond that. The bartender explained that they wanted to expand the food program, but needed additional licensing. Apparently, the next tier of licensing would allow them to move from popcorn to cutting fruit and shucking oysters. Talk about antiquated beer laws! While I was there, a newly wed couple arrived at the bar and asked for bud light and shots of jager. The head brewer explained they did not serve those here but gave them some beer tasters. From their Papa Elf Porter to their River Styx Monster, all offerings are exceptional. They are also updating their tap list very frequently which is nice to see. Wadsworth is a cute little town, and this is a very pleasant brewery - nice place to visit on an afternoon or evening. My wife and I have been here twice - mostly to get our Brewpath passes stamped. The first time, I thought the beers were pretty good; not exceptional, but I wasn't sorry I made the trip. Our second visit was not quite as rewarding--I got a flight of various beers and all of them seemed a little "off" for one reason or another. On some, the flavor didn't quite match the style of beer...on others, there was just some type of added flavor or slight "chemical" taste that I couldn't quite specify, but which made the beer unpalatable. That said, the offering here might be up your alley. I didn't try any IPA's - where typically the hops would hide any shortcomings on the brewer's part. Like all small breweries, the products can be hit-or-miss, depending on the beer style and the time of year. Best thing is to see for yourself. read more

I love it when people renovate old buildings for their businesses! A rustic old downtown shop turned into a brew house and restaurant. I have been here twice which is saying a lot since there are so many Breweries in the area. FREE popcorn is a bonus! There is nothing like a cold brew along with salty buttery goodness to accompany it. The second thing that brings me back to a brewery is a food menu that isn't just serving cheese wiz and chips. This place has really good flatbread pizza. The crust is crisp! ... not soggy with topping! Yuk! Two visits ... both were great! Enjoy!! read more

On a most recent, self guided brewery tour with friends, this was my favorite brewery we visited. Or waitress was friendly and attentive and the beer was delicious. They had a Belgian Dubel that my fiance and I throughly enjoyed. They have a small menu of food and we ordered the tomato and artichoke pizza- please note that their version of thin crust pizza is very thin but still good. Wadsworth Brewing Company is tucked away inside a historic building in downtown Wadsworth. The inside has a cold, masculine, stale vibe. There wasn't a drop of music and only one small TV hanging behind the bar. Not the best spot to watch the NBA Finals, but perfect spot for conversation with an old pal. I really hope they invest in a radio soon. I'm not an IPA beer veteran so I don't feel confident enough to judge their beer. I did order a College Street and the menu description said, "lawn mowing beer". Spot on indeed. If you don't like the bitter, bite, dark IPA's start with College Street and work your way up. They have complementary popcorn for that child you should be babysitting. I'm looking forward to coming back. The lady behind the bar was very friendly and said WBC will be adding a wine selection and a small snack menu. Beer and food was good. However, the credit card machine was down and wasn't told until the end of my visit when my card obviously couldn't be run. I wasn't offered any discounts or comped food not even a coupon or incentive to return. Instead, I was told to walk down to the atm on the other side of the square to pay for my visit where I don't even bank so was charged a fee to use the atm. After complaining i was reimbursed for the $3.50 charge but could not even speak to a manager at the time of the visit. Highly disappointed with the service rendered here today and hesitant to return. read more
