Taro sweet potato - delicious

If you're looking for some made to order dim sum without breaking the bank, this is the place for you. They have plenty of selections, minus the fancy pants atmosphere. They do dim sum AYCE until 3 PM and during the night, the restaurant is a sort of seafood market restaurant. The dim sum was delish. Everything was fresh. The tea was hot and the service is no frills but friendly (dim sum review only). I'll have to come back for dinner to see if the seafood is as good as it looked on other tables (other patrons having seafood).

All you can eat dim sum for $25.99 and hot tea was $1.50. Menu had a good variety and servers were attentive. Some of the dimsum was good and some was only okay but it's a good way to try different food. However, the decor/ambiance was very simple (unless you have their private room for large parties) and A/C was a little weak so sweating a little during the meal. Thus, the 4 star. There is a parking lot and you can get 2 hours with validation from the restaurant so that's convenient if you have a car.

Steamed grey sole was light, gingery. Salted fish and chicken dishes were tasty, not too salty for us. 2-3 dimsum carts were going around - S,M, or L, priced above $4 to $5.75. Small charge for hot tea per person. Were able to ask any staff for help when needed, no assigned waitstaff, which was ok bec. service was fast. Walking distance from Broadway/Queens Blvd so Elmhurst Ave stop on M, R train and a few bus lines. Restrooms available.

We came for dim sum and stayed for lunch. I loved that the rice rolls were made only if someone ordered them. My fav is the shrimp rice roll. The shrimp rice crepe wrapped me in its warm embrace while the fresh shrimp was almost crunchy, steamed just right. The chicken feet will always be one of my favorite dishes, they marinate it well and it's usually very flavorful. Our seafood chow fun was very well made, fresh rice noodle with shrimp, scallops, squid and other seafood cooked just right. The chefs here are spot on every time in taste, texture and the degree to which everything should be cooked to perfection. It's always a joy to feast here for celebrations, family dinners and everything in-between. Two thumbs up! Ocean Bay Seafood Restaurant is definitely a hidden gem and consistently brings amazing comfort food to all who crave an exciting foodie adventure.

Just keep in mind that soup dumplings are always best enjoyed fresh, and there's a risk they'll cool down on the trip home. That said, everything was packaged well and held up nicely for a relatively short trip, so you can still enjoy them at home. I got the Crab Meat and Pork Soup Dumplings, Signature Pork Soup Dumplings, Spicy Beef Soup Dumplings, and Scallion Pancake with Sliced Beef. The crab meat and pork and signature pork were my favorites, as always. The spicy beef dumplings were good, but I personally preferred the other two. The beef scallion pancake was another highlight and stayed surprisingly crispy even after the trip home. Overall, a great option when you're craving Nan Xiang soup dumplings but want to enjoy them at home. Definitely happy to have this Express location in Forest Hills!

The Stars aligned today, and I was able to get my Rice Rolls!! Note: Rice Rolls are available on Weekends Only!! I tried their beef rice rolls ($3) and their pork rice rolls ($3). Both were really great! Made fresh before your eyes! Once your rolls are ready, you're able to add any sauces you'd like before they close your package. This place is definitely no frills and kinda divey. Order at the entrance of the doorway and just wait for your order to be made. They offer an array of rice rolls, noodles, fresh tofu, tofu drinks, tofu desserts...and much more. See my menu photo for the complete list. Prices are very reasonable. Everything is made fresh. Customer service is friendly but there may be a language barrier if you don't speak Toi San or Cantonese. But just point on their menu since the menu is in Chinese and English. It can get a little crowded on weekends but the wait will be worth it!

Definitely a hole in the wall kind of place. It's not a restaurant nor even a place to sit, stand to eat. It's busy and pretty packed here on the weekends. Cars going in and out parking and placing orders. Stand to the right or left side cause cases of products are coming out of Wong Kwong Hop. It's like a mini factory here. Love just watching how the rice rolls and chow fun are made here. Also, got the large grass jelly. On a hot n humid day it's always refreshing to have some cold grass jelly- like jello. Will be back to try their other rice rolls.

My friends ordered the vegetable stir fry noodles and beef stir fry noodles. The noodle orders were good and huge portions (we all ended up packing some home). The counter person was not the owner (I think maybe he was the son) -- very helpful and patient answering all the questions posed by my friends. I forgot to take photos of the food. Just says Northern Dumplings. My boiled dumplings were good. Very thick skinned. Pricing and long wait makes me ding this place.
