Very basic dimsum place, not the type you would want to bring your grandparents to sit in and eat though. It's probably best for take home dimsum. I love anything shrimp and it's the staples of most dimsum places. I would not recommend the Pan Fried Wagyu Bao. the meat is like ground wagyu but very dry, flavour was weird...

The food taste is really good, we were not disappointed. Our expectations for dim sum has met. Pricing is a bit higher in comparison to other places that serves same cuisine. This spot is a take out popular but has 3 small tables for dine in feels. Clean, cute and fast service.

Honey Roast Pork

We ordered delivery on a weekend. There was some nice variety on the menu. The honey roast pork was our favorite, though we used the chili oil dip from one of our other dishes to augment the sauce that came with the dish itself. The duck roll didn't seem to have any duck in it at all - enough that I even asked my friends, who ordered vegetarian, if they had gotten the duck one by accident. The pan-fried wagyu buns were ok but a little over priced for what they were. The Hong Kong style shrimp dumpling was not particularly impressive, either. There are definitely other enticing things to try, which I would probably do if I ordered from here again.

Tiny Pan-Fried Chicken Dumplings: $5.95 ($6.47 with tax). Take-out.

BLUF: Good service, but we've had better food at dim-sum restaurants. Dim Sum Bloom proposes to offer restaurant-quality dim-sum in the convenience of a fast food setting. While we found the service here to be good, the food we received seemed mostly sourced from third-party food manufacturer(s), instead of being house-made. The food was OK at best, but we've had better. Food: We've Had Better (2 stars out of 5 stars). We ordered for take-out: - Truffle Shrimp Shumai: $7.95 ($8.66 with tax). There seemed to be a lot of filler ingredients (i.e., not shrimp) in these dumplings. We received a separate vial of truffle since we ordered the shumai for take-out, which we then manually applied to each shumai dumpling. The shrimp lacked the crispness typically found in well-made restaurant versions, but the truffle was pretty good. - Tiny Pan-Fried Chicken Dumplings: $5.95 ($6.47 with tax). Cute in concept, but skippable. - Grand Marnier Shrimps: $13.95 ($15.19 with tax). Perhaps equivalent to Panda Express' Honey Walnut Shrimp, without the walnuts. Dim Sum Bloom's atmosphere is brightly lit. The restaurant sits between 6 to 8 people. There are no customer accessible restrooms. Service: Good (4 stars out of 5 stars). The staff were friendly, and we received complimentary milk teas and a Lunar New Year keychain.

The whole store

We went during their soft opening so not everything was available yet. Given they weren't fully open I won't bring up the items that would be resolved with some more employees and attentiveness. BUT I will say the food was solid and obviously made fresh. The largest let down was the chicken bun, the texture of the filling was a bit too tough but flavor was fine. The Hong Kong shrimp dumpling stole the show. The service at the cashier was good, a little disorganized but assuming that's because of the new opening. The store is small, a few tables, clean enough. I'll definitely be back when they get their legs under them. Looking forward to the deliciousness. Definitely try it!

Vegetable Buns and Veggie Dumplings

I got delivery from here a few weeks ago. I ordered 2 vegetable spring rolls, an order of vegetable dumplings, and the Jing Chong Baked Vegetable Buns. The food was all very good. I called to ask a few questions before I ordered, and they were great at navigating me to what they had which was vegetarian. The buns and spring rolls were phenomenal and arrived nice and crispy. I also appreciated the dumplings, but the dumpling sauce was pure vinegar! I definitely would try this place again, as the food was good. I do wish they had some more vegetarian options, though, but that seems to be par for the course with the majority of dim sum places in the city!

Fried chicken with blueberry sauce option.

Finally tried this place, after having been hesitant (yet curious) to get the blueberry sauce with my chicken. The worker assured me it's more tart than sweet, plus I had back up sauces at home, so I went with it. It was delightful and refreshing, with a slight hint of mustard, but it's probably better for summer during an intense heatwave - along with a refreshing drink - than for an insanely windy January day like today. The sauce coats so well that it says, "Don't worry, we won't tell anyone you're American broccoli." I drank the last of the sauce and licked the container clean. I do recommend it and I think a fried rice option would have been nice, perhaps better, than the white rice. Although I got the food to go, I took note of their cheerful interior and the jazz music they had playing.

A generous amount of tofu in the rice bowl!
Elizabeth M.

Went here because my bf was hungry and we were walking by and their menu in the window advertising their rice bowls for $7.99 caught our attention. We ordered separately; I only ordered the tofu rice bowl, but my bf ordered a different rice bowl plus a bubble tea. While we were waiting for our food the woman working the front brought out two teas to our table. Not sure if this was a mistake or a gift, but I enjoyed having a tea, too. I was really surprised at how much tofu was in my bowl. It was really a large amount; I think there was more tofu than rice, which was awesome. I have about a third left for a snack later. Great deal for $8.

Dim Sum bloom is the latest fast casual dim sum restaurant in Elmhurst. The food was high quality and authentic as I can overhear the kitchen staff speaking in Cantonese. Friendly front of house staff as well but definitely five stars for the 100% eco-friendly packaging they provided me for take away. Can't wait to revisit!

Satay beef bowl

I saw this newly opened take-out restaurant, they sell mostly dim sum and other Asian food. I tried the satay beef bowl it was ok most rice bowl food prices are $7.99 before tax

Tiny Pan-Fried Pork Dumpling takeout

The fried dumplings were a little too salty for my liking and keep in mind you are paying $6 for 8 tiny bites. The other dishes on the menu were also disappointing. The service is also a bit slow so I would not come back and would not recommend.

A new dim sum place on the neighborhood. Got free drink with lunch orders. The tote that came with my hot food was super cute! During the promotional period, I got a red envelope with store coupon (free food) inside.

As the name implies, it really is an excellent dumpling house!…read more Me and my buddies were in Jersey and New York for some hockey games, and wanted to go to a deli, get some Chinese food, and a slice of pizza. Got off the E train and when we looked for Chinese food, this place popped up with good reviews and it was just a short walk from where we got off the train. My buddies ordered the special lunches and we also got two types of xlb's, beef chow fun, and some fried dumplings. The special lunches come with a little fried rice, cold garlic flavored noodle, choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup, and main side. My buddies all enjoyed their meals. The beef chow fun was also really good and beef was nice and tender. The xiao long baos were excellent and is comparable to any place in California like DTF. Nice and juicy and great with some ginger, soy sauce, and spicy chili. Friendly service and food comes out pretty quickly. Credit card is accepted. Bathroom was also very clean, which is sometimes rare in some Chinese restaurants I have been to. If you're looking for a good Chinese meal, stop here when you're in the Chelsea area.

"How 'bout there?" he responded pointing to Excellent Dumpling House. It was directly across the street. I pulled up Yelp, saw good reviews and readily agreed. At 3:30, the restaurant was empty. There were a few takeout orders, but we were the only people sitting down for late lunch. And y'know ... it was pretty good. Wonton soup is what I'd expect in Chinatown. Wonton wrappers were thin -- my preference -- the stuffing delicious and the broth flavorful. They were generous with the beef in our chow fun. Good, but the noodles needed a jolt. So I asked for soy sauce which was sort of a solution. Shrimp with vegetables was great. A lot of shrimp, too. There are lunchtime specials on weekdays, reasonable prices, and nice people work there. Next time it makes sense to try dumplings since it is, after all a dumpling house.

Located within the historic Chelsea Market building--a former Nabisco factory where Oreo cookies were first produced--the restaurant feels theatrical in the best possible way. The soaring ceilings, dramatic lighting, and energetic atmosphere create a sense of occasion from the moment you walk in. It feels less like simply going out to dinner and more like stepping into a beautifully staged production. I started with a Botanist Gin Martini with a twist, which paired wonderfully with the meal. The surprise star of the evening was the new Cucumber Tiger Salad. The balance of flavors was exceptional: bright acidity, a pleasant touch of heat, and just enough mint to make each bite feel fresh and exciting. Every so often the mint would come through and suddenly all the flavors would click together in a way that made me immediately want another bite. This is a dish I would happily order again. Next came the Edamame Dumplings. They were delicate and comforting, especially when enjoyed with the accompanying broth. The broth adds depth and richness that elevates the entire dish. My only suggestion would be the slightest touch more salt, perhaps even a finishing sprinkle of black volcanic salt for both flavor and presentation. I also found myself wishing there were a bit more of that delicious broth because it contributes so much to the overall experience. For my entrée, I ordered the Glazed Alaskan Black Cod, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The fish was rich, buttery, and perfectly prepared. What impressed me most was how thoughtfully the accompaniments were composed. The pickled cucumbers brought brightness, acidity, and crunch, while the black bean and eggplant relish delivered deep savory notes and unexpected complexity. I'm generally not an eggplant fan, but this relish was outstanding. The cucumbers and relish sit at opposite ends of the flavor spectrum, yet both somehow make the cod even better. Looking back, I think a glass of Sauvignon Blanc alongside the cod would have been the perfect pairing. I finished with the Miso Caramel Milk Bar, which was spectacular. Decadent, sweet, salty, and touched with just enough umami to keep every bite interesting. The chocolate crumble underneath added a wonderful crunch that contrasted beautifully with the creamy ice cream and luscious caramel sauce. Every component worked together perfectly, creating a dessert that was both indulgent and sophisticated. From start to finish, the meal felt polished, thoughtful, and memorable. Thank you!

Yeah Id say that was a pretty splendid meal. Shared everything thank goodness…read more Started with the wok fried beef dumplings which were good on their own but had this fire ahh spicy honey mustard wow. Then the scallion pancakes which were crispy and airy paired with this very interesting sauce that was clear but tasted like sweet and sour sauce. For mains we got Kung Pao Chicken which was pretty delicious but my star of the show was the Crispy Beef. It was crispy asf and skinny too I didn't know you could make beef skinny like that. Sauce was super tasty and thick. On the side was broccoli which was fine and eggplant which was fine on its own and good with the chili sauce. Split the Fortune Cookie Red Velvet Cake which okay I thought there would be more creativity with adding fortune cookies somewhere in the cake but it was just a cake with fortune cookies on top. Also they put 2 when we had 4 people like lowkey they couldve just put 2 more on there but anyways the cake itself was pretty tasty so can't complain there.

Peking duck (for 4-5) had great accompaniments (rare to actually get bao with it) but it was a lackluster portion of duck. Salt and pepper shrimp were offensively salted. Special "mignon" was great. The hand-pulled noodles *gasp* weren't hand pulled. "BBQ" chicken in the other noodles was very dry. Sea bass portion was very small. Scallion pancakes were good. Shrimp dumplings were the highlight. I recommend skipping this restaurant.
