This restaurant came up on my radar through Instagram, and since I was going to be in the area, I figured I would try it. It's only street parking which proved to be a little difficult to find. The parking spots in front were 30 mins to 1 hour parking only. It's a very casual place. You can dine in, which I did, but I think most people do takeout. The server and the cook were nice and always checked in to see if me & my friend were good. I got the salmon po boy sandwhich. The size of this salmon was huge. The breading and sauce was so delicious. You would think it was chicken because of the breading until you get that salmon taste coming through. They gave alot of fries and they were really seasoned. The seasoning seemed like some sort of seafood boil seasoning kind of like old bay. It came with a blueberry bleu cheese which was interesting. The only thing is every thing was very decadent and i wish i had something different to break up the richness of everything. Also the house sauce that came on the chips and sandwiches tasted like it had horseradish in it which I'm not the biggest fan of but my friend liked it. Their grilled jerk salmon sandwich tasted good as well. It's a place I'd get food from again if I'm in the area.

Tracey's Kitchen - Fried Wings lunch special! Drop dead delicious

Unfortunately, they do not have a lunch special so it was $18 for a meat, 2 sides and rice. They advised that they have specials only on Tuesday and Saturday. Bummer! I ordered the yams, Mac and cheese, rice and sweet & spicy chicken tenders. They were fried perfectly and still crunchy even after the food got a little colder. I will try them again on a Tuesday and remember the specials is CASH only.

Let's start by saying that they have a great special on Wednesdays and Saturdays. $10 for a medium platter. The platter comes with a protein, rice, and two sides. The inside was spacious but seemed a bit empty as far as furniture and decor. It was cool though. There was about 5 people on line behind me as I was leaving but upon arrival, there was only one person ahead. I'm guessing since this special is a popular one that's why the food seemed to be running low. People were coming in quicker than they could replace the food on display (in my opinion). Very nice service. They were quick and efficient. Again I like the special on these days but I do want to go back on other days to try other items I've seen on their social media.

I think they're cash only but I may be wrong. The entrees all come with rice and beans and two other sides. Medium is already a ton of food (a lot of rice and beans, and they're really generous with the gravy!). My favorite sides were the candied yams and the cabbage. The entrees I tried were -brown stew chicken ($7.50 for medium) - really great; the gravy is delicious. Several pieces were super tender and fall-off-the-bone. -jerk pork ($8.75 for medium) - really like the jerk seasoning! My friend who has a lower spice tolerance found it a bit too spicy but I liked it a lot. This restaurant is in a neighborhood in transition, but don't be put off. When we entered we were greeted by a lovely, young lady. This feels like a family run business. From the look of things, it has fallen into the strongest ownership and has a great chance of achieving longevity in this old river town neighborhood. If jazz is your sound, Rosetta's will fill that niche in your soul. From the moment I walked in and took a stool at the counter, the smooth jazz soundtrack kept me company. The presence of a full drum kit, electric keyboard and microphone stands in the front of the house by the entry door had me wondering if I would be lucky enough to audience a morning session. It wasn't to be, but it sure did set the mood for evening possibilities. My breakfast was simple. Sausage, fried egg and provolone cheese on rye sandwich, with side of home fries (onions & peppers added). The chef's skilled hands were visible from my seat, as was his laughing interaction with customers who called him out to acknowledge his presence. That was fun. The meal was good, but would have been exceptional had the sandwich been doubled up (2 of everything) and presented on an English muffin of Kaiser rather than sliced rye. The limited choice of white, wheat or rye for this creation missed the mark. Those taters on the other hand, were excellent and the java strong, fresh and tasty. PRO TIP - Add this big boy to the morning menu as a choice for those who appreciate what double meat, egg and cheese can do for the satisfaction of the hungry. Otherwise, it was all worthwhile. That Sunday brunch with mimosa and AYCE spread accompanied by live jazz is totally appealing, and we may drop in soon.

Got the Truth and the Comeback fish sandwiches, and the way that my partner and I slammed…read morethese...we even surprised ourselves. My picture is testament to how finger-licking good the sandwiches were--I didn't even get to take a picture of the other fish sandwich because we took one bite and couldn't put the sandwich down. The fish was soft, but still crunchy, and the fried batter didn't take away from the taste of the fish. I feel like other fish sandwiches get this one thing wrong. The hot sauce paired so well with the food. Also, look at the portion size on the sandwich! Such a fair price. I read in other reviews that the customer service was questionable. That was not my experience here at all. I came in rushing, admittedly, and a little lost with what to order, but the guy working the counter was super nice and he asked me questions to help me pick something out from the menu that I would like. The vibe here was super chill. Chessboards on the table to play with friends while you're waiting for your food. Art, poetry, and inspiring quotes lining the walls for you to admire. I would really like to come back here to sit down and properly enjoy their food, but for a quick bite, this was more than I expected. What a find!
