I ordered the meals via door dash pickup online and when I told the staff my order they had difficulty finding my order. That was the first issue. Before I could get the full word "door dash" out she blurted out that they did not confirm the order as if it was a delivery order. The next issue was that they ran out of jerk chicken. The man told me that there is some cooking in the oven and that it would be ready in 5 minutes. I was cool with that. At least I knew the food would be fresh. Problem! He lied the jerk chicken would not be ready in 5 min instead it was ready in 45 min. I should have cancelled my order and asked for a refund but I continued to wait. There were no apologies for the wait time or the rude customer service. When I got home to begin eating I noticed that they did not give us a substantial portion of meet. It was mainly bones. I felt like I definitely got ripped off. Also, I think they changed the recipe of the sauce for the jerk chicken because it was really sweet and tangy instead of being spicy. I don't think I will be back unfortunately. This is not the first time that I have had a bad experience at this restaurant. Whether its them running out of food, order not being ready for pickup, or bad customer service..it is always something. It is time to find another local Jamaican restaurant in the area. Here, Rocco's super submarine sandwiches are delightfully five stars for service, taste and quality, while the Home Depot experience is humdrum and lacking redeeming qualities like human interaction. In my case, I visited HD for salt to lay on driveway and sidewalk. I promptly shelled out $30 for 50lbs of melt, without any human contact. No choices. No one around to ask questions to about it. Just pay at the kiosk and lug the heavy sack out to the car. This, compared to the friendly repartee with the behind the counter staff at Rocco's, not to mention the awesome aroma and enjoyment of its open kitchen floor show. Did I mention how good it was to mange that sweet sausage and sautéed pepper and onion? Delectable! Five Italian Stars.
