While helping my son move in nearby, I came across Pita Chip on Yelp and decided to give it a try based on the solid reviews. And I'm glad I did. I was not disappointed at all. The food was tasty, fresh, and very reasonably priced. The servers were friendly and welcoming, and the eating area was clean with a unique design that made it a nice place to sit and enjoy our meal. I'll definitely be back when I'm in town visiting, and my son already mentioned this will likely become a regular spot for him since he lives so close. Great find! read more

Tonight Pita Chip hosted their first music bingo. It was so much fun! It's free to play and the host is fantastic. There were adults and kids in attendance. We played music themed bingo including 80's, Disney, Names, and Movies. There were also regular bingo rounds as well. Prize was a $15 gc for each round. The host is fantastic and everyone was singing along. Really a great time and the food was delicious. It runs from 6-8 but we went at 5:30 to get food. It's a Chipotle style restaurant with all Mediterranean food. They also have gluten free options. Also Aristaeus was onsite selling their beer for the adults! Pita Chip will continue to have one bingo night and one trivia night on Thursdays in April! Highly recommend for a week night out. read more

Tried off a recommendation. Can't say we were impressed. While the place is open and clean and the staff were more than accommodating with questions and friendly, the food just wasn't. It wasn't bad mind you, but not good enough I would suggest to a friend. I had a Shish Tawook bowl which is plentiful. Just lacked any real oomph. My daughter had the Spicy Lamb WitWiz. And while I can say the lamb had a little spice to it, I certainly wouldn't call it spicy. A friend and I visited Pita Chip for lunch and it was a great healthy, customizable, yet quick option! She had a bowl and I had a pita, both of which we were able to build to our preferences with a great value of both quantity and quality of ingredients. The options went well beyond the basic toppings found at other restaurants and had great flavors more bold than I'm used to seeing. Not only were the options high quality, but you got a great portion size as well. I was able to make 2 meals of my pita. We may have negated any healthy entree choices by sharing the chicken Philly fries but they were delicious and we regret nothing! We missed out on extra garlic sauce and buffalo tahini, as well as bottled water that was supposed to come with the kids meals. My friend and I had a super afternoon at this wonderful establishment. The food is MODERN MIDDLE EASTERN cuisine, I truly enjoyed the lamb kebab. It was music Bingo Thursday which was so much fun. The service style is similar to cafeteria style where you go down line and build your bowl, tortilla wrap, pita, with delicious ingredients. The staff is friendly and the decor is a nice wood vibe. Delicious, quick food that really hits the spot- fresh and satisfying. Wish there were a location in NJ slightly closer to us. We've gotten the rice bowls and salads with chicken shawarma or spicy lamb kebab, and with toppings such as beets & tahini salad, red cabbage slaw, turnip pickles, tomato & cucumber salad, and peppers & onions. We've added sides of french fries with garlic sauce (crispy fries and addicting sauce), side of falafel (fried perfectly), side of pita chips and hummus and the tahini shakes (happens to be non-dairy and so creamy and tasty and approved by my kids). We would order that all again in a heartbeat. It's fantastic that they offer kids meal options that are kids rice bowl or salad: comes with one protein, three toppings, one sauce and one drink (apple juice or water). Such a contrast to the typical nutrient deficient and dry options usually available at most other places. They also offer kids chicken tenders & fries (we haven't ordered that yet). High HVAC exposed ceiling with large wall murals of mid-20th Century Philadelphia and abstract colorful scenes above the work area, the space is clean and visually appealing. Everyone knows the game. Get on line to order the form of the meal (bowl or wrap), select your protein of choice and then walk down the assembly line picking whatever ingredients desired for inclusion, with a final sauce decision before moving on the the cashier. I went with the Falafel Wrap w roasted veggies, jalapeños, roasted red pepper hummus and tahini sauce. My son ordered the Chicken Shawarma bowl with heavy dose of white finishing sauce. We sat at one of the large group high wood tables to wolf down our choices. I was very satisfied with the combination of tastes and textures from the Falafel Wrap. The ground chickpea balls were freshly made and not overly oily. Everything worked well together. I especially enjoyed the way the roasted veggies added substance and nourishment to the large pita/tortilla, while the hummus played a soft bass line to the mix. I prefer a little more sauce so had to have extra put on. We also got the pita chips and fries. Everything was delicious. Even the kids enjoyed. Good, customizable food and very fast! You can build your own bowls and wraps, starting with a choice of entree--a wrap, rice bowl, salad bowl, or 1/2 rice 1/2 salad bowl. You can then choose your protein and/or veggies, as well as original or roasted red pepper hummus. Among me and my family, we tried all three proteins, namely the fresh falafel, chicken shawarma, and beef & lamb shawarma. The falafel was crispy and the flavors of all three were great. They also gave a sizable portion! For the rest of the toppings, even though the menu display said "up to five," we were told that this was just the recommended number but we could choose as many as we'd like. I especially enjoyed the roasted veggies as well as the roasted red pepper hummus, which had a nice smooth consistency and was delicious. The final step is to choose sauces to top off the meal. The interior of the restaurant has a cool design and clean, comfortable atmosphere, and we enjoyed our meal there. The only thing we weren't as much a fan of was the tahini shake. For $5.99, the shake we ordered was filled 3/4 of the way, and we also found it too sweet. Once you finish your food, you bring any trash or recycling to the bins (they don't have composting unfortunately even though it looks like their containers are compostable) and layer the trays on top. As a Temple graduate, my first introduction to Pita Chip was during my undergraduate years at Temple. I was very interested to see what the Yardley location would be like; at Temple it was a student favorite. I came in on a weekday with some friends. I was super impressed with the very nice decor and retro-feeling seating. They have maintained their fast-casual ordering style. The signage and descriptions of all of the different menu items were clear and easy to understand. They also advertise their rewards program where customers can earn points towards free entrees. It didn't take me too long to decide what I wanted to order. I opted in for a Build Your Own Salad Bowl, since I would get a nice fox of carbs in with their signature fries. I went for the Lamb option, and I got various toppings. I was excited to get a taste of their famous Garlic Sauce that I used to love at Temple. I also added both the Vegan and Buffalo Tahini on the side. My bowl was built as I ordered it, and the fries were prepped as I mentioned I wanted them. There is a sign advising to order fries before building entree to ensure they're prepped in a timely manner. My Salad Bowl entree and Fries with Garlic Sauce came out to about 22 dollars. For an entree and side at a fast-casual restaurant, this seemed to be within normal range. My friends and I sat down at a table and 2 booths covered inside of a cute nook. In terms of the meal, I enjoyed everything. The greens and toppings containing veggies were fresh and flavorful. The meat was decent. It's not the most authentic lamb shawarma, but it's not too fatty while being flavorful. The Garlic Sauce still has the same amazing flavor that I remember from Temple, and the fries were fried to perfection with the most amazing crisp. The new Vegan and Buffalo Tahini were delicious, and they impressed me as an Arab who has had plenty of Arab food. Overall, I'm really happy a location like this opened in Yardley. I'm so glad they opened this one in Yardley. I went during their pre grand opening. I was greeted by one of the owners. He was kind and stood in line to tell me about the different options, how the food was prepared and what his recommendations are. He even gave me a Baklava to sample! It was very cool to have that experience. The place itself has modern fast food vibes. Lots of seating area. Also it's in the plaza with Kohls and Shoprite so there are tons of parking spots. For those who aren't familiar with this franchise, it's pretty much a Mediterranean chipotle. You can build your own bowl or wrap. And yeah the owner confirmed everything is halal here. I ended up building my own wrap, got half chicken half beef with pretty much all of the toppings. It was delicious. All the vegetables were fresh, the meats were warm and the sauces were amazing. The food is really very good. Tonight was our 2nd time ordering takeout from Pita Chip. We decided to order ahead and have it ready asap for pick up. I customized a chicken bowl, half rice half lettuce. My husband customized a beef bowl, all rice. It was quite an inconvenience having to drive back a 2nd time for the pita they'd forgotten about. Even bought 2 tahini cookies on impulse, only to have to drive back to cold food waiting for our microwave. It's one thing to make a mistake. Love the chicken sharma (the best around - not greasy or too salty, always tender and flavorful, just right) on a rice and salad bowl. My family loves the falafel (cooked fresh) and the beef/lamb also. All the sides and toppings are flavorful, always fresh, with always-friendly service here. Met the owner there one night and learned that the owner's wife makes the baklava herself. It's literally the best baklava we've ever had where you want to relish each crumb. I've been coming here for about a year, and normally I don't write yelp reviews, however each time I have come in, I've noticed some pretty careless workers. In particular, one worker with blonde hair and glasses. Numerous times I have come in and I've noticed that she does not look at nor consider the portion sizes that she is scooping for customers. One-third of the scooper is always full of dried chicken stuck to the metal, and most of the time you don't even get a full scoop of the chicken you are paying for. The food is good, yes, but I expect better for $15. read more

Order frequently from Yardley location for delivery. We always order falafel with an extra sauce for an additional $0.75. They ALWAYS FORGET THE EXTRA SAUCE FOR WHICH WE PAID. Its not just a one time or occasional thing. It happens EVERY TIME. Basically, this is theft. Sure, I will call the store and explain to the annoyed manager or owner what happened. And he will offer to make it right next time I come in. But 9/10 times we are ordering delivery so not much opportunity there to "make it right." This location needs a better system to QC their to-go orders and STOP STEALING MONEY FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS. Fed up with this happening so much, decided to finally post a review. Unfortunately I am very sad I have to make this poor 2 star review. I had super high hopes for this restaurant as there simply isn't enough diversity in this area. Simply put the food is too "main streamed" and simply not good. When I buy Shawarmas I usually get it from Saads in the city and I am in love with them. So naturally I was very excited to try Pita Chip out. It's not even the same dish. The meat is like "steak ums" literally thin shreds of meat as opposed to chunks of meat like Saads has. And all the fixings were way over the top that it's not even a Shawarma anymore. The pita bread was also soooo thin and dry not soft and chewy like it's supposed to be. And the hummus was no better than store bought. My husband and son didn't even finish it. They got halfway through and said they couldn't even finish it. In regards to customer service, I was also disappointed. We went last Sunday and I don't know if it was mostly teenagers working the line but they were simply not friendly at all. They looked and acted miserable. The cashier was very friendly though. So I will not be returning and am super disappointed. I had high hopes for a good Shawarma place in the area. I am gonna try Shawarma house in Feasterville next, but that too is a bit of a drive. read more
