Came here for lunch for the first time on a Sunday in December. I was the only one in the place so service was quick. I ordered the falafel pita for $12 and it was very very good. Everything I hoped for and more. I definitely recommend it. The place is clean and inviting with a few seats available for dining in, though I took my order to go to the brewery (Kings Road) nearby. It's certainly a unique restaurant in Haddonfield in that it is fast casual (most places here are more formal, sit-down restaurants), and that it serves exclusively vegan and gluten friendly Mediterranean options. read more

Great new little to-go shoppe with a couple dozen seats. Easy ordering through Yelp/web. I got the falafel bowl that features a generous bed of hummus with diced tomatoes, cucumber and some little slices of pickle. SOLID. The surprise was the tahini shake. Creamy, cold, with a sweetness that is hard to pin down. Don't be put off that it's date syrup. I would have never guessed that if it wasn't on menu. I was thinking it was more like overripe banana. I can't really give a detailed review of Mia's Meals. I just stopped in when I was in Haddonfield recently and ordered the Humus and Pita to go. The space is small, clean and bright. There is seating for 8-10 inside. Ordering is done at the counter. The menu is compact, which I like. The Falafel items looked good and so did the fries, and the Tahini Shake. I have to try that shake as it sounds interesting. The Humus and Pita I ordered to go was very good and creamy. I think they had some desserts also. The pita was delicious also. I have not actually been to Mia's. My friend brought me takeout a few times. His wife is the best Kosher chef in Philadelphia, so if they're going there I knew it was going to be good. In a word: delicious. I would take the Patco train over to Haddonfield to eat here. read more

I was in the neighborhood and hunger hit. I wanted something quick to go and was hoping I could convince myself to get something that wasn't like fried chicken lol I remembered when I was walking from my car I saw a sign Falafel Bar. This sounded like the right spot. Quick, it was not. But to be completely fair the lady the came in before me ordered catering sized everything and took up one person's time. The other worker was doing her best, positive attitude, friendly so I was like I'm too invested to cancel now. They had some people sitting outside waiting for their food too so whatever at this point. It was worth the wait. I got the Falafel pita. Huge, flavorful in every bite, really fresh, it was perfect. I mean I was falling in love with this and it seriously filled me up. I was so over joyed that 1. I was eating finally and 2. It was that damn good. I am a local business owner in Haddonfield and, although they've been open for a couple of years, I've never been in to this little gem. I recently, for health, went to a "mostly" plant and fish based diet. Today I was hungry and hadn't packed a lunch from home so...my visit to this place was "beshert". (destined to be) After speaking to the woman there I ordered the Falafel sandwich and a small potato boreka (and a bit of spicy stuff on the side). The boreka was flaky and flavorful and the Falafel was authentically delicious. All served up with a smile. For less than $15.00 I ate like a king (in fact I couldn't finish my meal - I'M STUFFED!) New, very small spot located right off the Main Street in Haddonfield! The staff was very friendly, and the service was fast. The falafel sandwich was filled with Israeli salad, which included onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, and pickles. The tahini shake was very creamy and smooth. Definitely should try for an exciting new flavor! Be warned that they are totally kosher and close early on Fridays and are closed on Saturday's. Mia's food is outstanding. Prices are quite reasonable and portions are more than enough. I got the falafel bowl, my companion got the falafel salad. Neither one of us could finish. A nice addition to downtown. Love the simple menu, clean ingredients. A little pricey. I look forward to when the counter staff is more comfortable in their jobs, more welcoming and personable. A week or so after opening they are still nearly silent when you enter. Both times I visited I had to ask if they wanted/were ready for my order--and I was the only customer in the place. I really wanted to like this place and I want to support family run businesses. The falafel is very good. But it's absurdly overpriced, with small portions. I got a falafel pita sandwich (in a small pita pocket), a water, and a very small side of fries - all served casually, in plastic - for $17!!! Yes, you read that right. $17. This is because everything is ala carte and the prices are already high. I won't return unless they change their prices. No way am I spending $17 on what should have been an inexpensive light lunch. $10 or $12 at most is what I should have paid for a small sandwich, small fries, and water. Even $12 would have been overpriced for what I got. It's a shame because the place is in a terrific location and they should be getting lots of traffic. read more

Small spot in Haddonfield across from Starbucks. There aren't many spots that have [good] falafel... falafel that isn't cooked in the same oil as meat... so yay. Mia's is 100% vegan... again yay. If you're looking for good falafel, you won't find it here. It was slow in the restaurant, so precooked falafel balls and French fries sitting under a heat lamp should have been a red flag. The lukewarm ball were bland and has a crunch inside like that of uncooked cornmeal. The pita was very good, and they kept them in a cooler to stay warm and soft. The tzatziki sauce was bland as well, and I don't get the abundance of dill pickle chips in the sandwich. read more
