The food here is very delicious, many options and attentive staff. The ice cream machine is a good touch. My favorite was the general tso chicken, crab rangoons and chicken teriyaki. They also have a stir fry station. Staff very attentive, I will be back.

cmon my friends, if you're coming to an Asian buffet, you should know the name of the game! I don't expect to taste the seventh wonder of the world... just to leave with my pants unbuttoned and my every craving satisfied I love Royal Buffet for its sweet servers, Diet Pepsi, soft serve machine, and many rows of steaming hot eats

Very good. Only thing I don't like was the bland lo mein, it ruined my appetite. Other than that everything was great

i think an overall 2.8 rating is a bit harsh. this place is solidly a 3.5. booths, plates, and utensils were clean and constantly being cleaned while we were there. the servers were cheerful even around 9pm on a saturday night. the hibachi was good, i enjoyed it at this casual, low-key option. we ended up here because saturday nights were full in many places and we had not eaten in like 9 hours from the busy day we had and didn't want to wait anywhere. the sushi was good, like a better version of your local grocery store sushi. the fish options around were good like the fried shrimp, steamed clams, and the crab rangoons. i also got seaweed salad and squid salad which was nice. the pineapples were sweet and ripe, and not the canned kind. i had some soft serve ice cream for dessert. a buffet is something i haven't had in years since i was a kid and they were every family's stop. so it was nice nostalgia. and i wont crave it often but if i did, i would return here.

Probably $10 to $15 in a sushi bar, and it's included!

Better than the average buffet. Lots of negative reviews, but I've been a dozen times, and it's ready not that bad. They have the cleanest sushi bar of any buffet I go to. It has an attendant and it is well done. I like the fact that it has seaweed salad too, instead of spiralized zucchini flavored like seaweed salad! The grill has steak, probably strip loin. It's small, and thin, but that's an item that you dont usually see anymore. The buffet itself has salt and pepper shrimp! They also have pot roast, Mongolian beef, chicken teriyaki, grilled chicken, boneless spare ribs... if they had crab legs, I could cry. There are some odd things like chicken fingers in mayonnaise I think I'll pass on. Stuffed clams and shrimp covered with ground pork... baby back ribs that look and taste boiled... no! Still, plenty to like. I would speak a bit to ambiance. The parking lot has security. I've seen multiple cars doing burn outside in the lot. There's no shortage if yelling and screaming and the pungent aroma of weed floats across the parking lot and restaurant. It seems a lot of people are working on their appetites before going in! Noisy and crowded on weekends, for sure, but they are a good value for the price!

I have been going to this place for years. Since the pandemic, I haven't gotten a chance to go since. Does anyone know how it is there after they reopened? Are they still having staff serve you food or is it like it was before covid?

They're the same as they were before COVID - decent food at reasonable prices, some screaming kids on weekends! But I still love it there!!

    Do they have lobster?

That would be a big no. However I've seen snow crab and rock crabs on occasion.

Does the Buffet offer a wider variety of flavored Fried Chicken? (like general tso and sesame)

Kind of but not really. They have the regular fried chicken but then only two kinds of flavored chicken with sauce. They have some variety big not a whole lot.

We started with the lamb kavap and shared the ginormous chicken stew, and finished off with the honey cake. Every this was so flavorful. The lamb is served on skewers with 23 different spices. Definitely tasted cumin, paprika, peppercorns, garlic, and so many other spices! The chicken stew was so delicious. Be warned that it's big and spicy! Definitely a kick of peppercorns. I believe it's a full smashed whole chicken so each bite has bits of bones. But the chicken is stewed in a rich, spicy broth. The stew has hand made noodles, potatoes, and peppers. We finished off with honey cake which helped cooled down the spices we just ate. Lovely slice of cake with a scoop of coffee ice cream. This place gets busy but they have a digital waitlist. We checked in with the host on the first floor, but she escorted us to the second floor to be seated. I always liked that this restaurant seems to be a small house converted into a restaurant since it literally makes me feel at [someone's] home. We were given QR codes to scan for the menu; not my favorite. I overheard another table ask for paper menus, so it appears there is that option. For a starter, we ordered handmade lamb dumplings and for entrees, original meefen and lamb on dry land with a side of white rice. It all ended up coming out around the same time and the tables are a little small so it felt like an overwhelming amount of food, but it was actually the perfect amount for two people. The lamb dumplings were flavorful, albeit, the wrappers were a tad too soft. The original meefen was very tasty, especially the minced meat. However, the uden noodles don't do a great job of absorbing sauces, so it felt like a lot of the oils and flavor were left behind. The lamb on dry land was good, but it was difficult to eat especially two people. We didn't realize it would be meat on a stick, similar to a turkey leg but less meaty. We ended up eating the easy parts, but took the bone home to finish out of the public eye. The crispy potatoes on top were my friend's favorite. The total was about $50 which was fair. Our waiter and other staff members did an excellent job of getting us all we needed and clearing plates as we finished. Their official website is one of the coolest I have seen since it includes audio and images, but I wish it had a description of what each item is, just like their in restaurant menu QR code.

Amidst being fresh and brightly colored, the dish was quite bland overall. I begged for some elevated heat and flavor profiles-- it definitely fell short and was not spicy in the least. And I'm not a fan of a grease soaked platter... maybe it settled while I drove home but I definitely mopped up oil with a napkin/strained. No bueno. *Sidebar: They have a delicious green sauce that was really tasty and quite frankly saved the dish. I opted for this in place of a sweet Chili Glaze sauce that is provided because I hate sweet flavor profiles in all things dinner! Lol MVP: A wonderfully kind and efficient staff... the order was complete, error free, prepared timely and everyone was very friendly. The best item I purchased was the SANGRIA topped with fresh pineapple! Not the food-- it was all about their in-house beverages. Unfortunately, the set up is almost buffet like with add ons (I paid extra for Pico de Gallo... this also elevated the dish. With the sauce I selected and the pico, the dish literally would have been as bland as a cardboard sandwich). Perhaps it's me-- my palette is pretty elevated and I love heat. Peruvian dishes aren't exactly known for bombastic flavors, spice and heat... but the crowd and utter lack of parking got me excited. Will I return? Perhaps... definitely for a different item (perhaps the roasted chicken everyone was eagerly ordering) and it's a must on the sangria option! But $32.90 for a very basic fried rice mixed with lo mein moment + salad (I tipped $3 amidst to go).... Nah. I'd be lying if I said it was worth it. Lovely aesthetic and energy, however. Chef's energy on the food though was a miss.... Season! The! Food! Sir!

I ordered the Snow Mountain Ramen - the creamy tofu broth is unlike anything I've had and was so so unique and delicious. I thought about it for at least a week straight after eating it and am still dying to go back to get more. I also got the Iced Rose Matcha drink - $10 felt too pricy for this but I wanted a fun drink and a little caffeine kick - and again the flavors were unique and tasty. Both my friend and I happened to see someone we knew here - it's definitely a popular spot! It was packed on a Saturday night but it was still pretty quick for us to get a table for 2. Being a downtown city restaurant, the tables feel a bit cramped and I was a little too close to the table next to me for comfort - claustrophobics beware (honestly the soup is worth it though!!) Parking is pretty easy in the lot, although Holy crap they need to fix the potholes / harsh drop-off where it meets the street, and it still was not fully plowed many weeks after the big snowstorm (it's a shared lot so not a Y Noodle specific issue, but just saying). The only thing that was unpleasant were the bathrooms - I get it was a busy weekend night, but they reeked of a litter box the second you stepped in, the floor was dirty and very wet with unknown substances, and the Dyson hand dryer is at such a weird, too high level on the wall that it sprayed water in my face. Everything else was a dream, can't wait to go back! Hopefully the bathrooms were just a fluke.

Come on ... how much does it cost you to actually throw in a tiny cup of hot mustard? I mean, who doesn't eat hot mustard with Chinese food? It used to be that Chinese food was a fast and cheap dinner ... a combo meal here is $18, after substitution. I want to know ... who the fuck has ever actually eaten a shitty chicken wing from a Chinese restaurant without substituting it out? Probably nobody. You eat fresh BBQ chicken wings at a tailgate, not from a dirty restaurant the size of a college dorm room. Of course they know any sane person with working taste buds will substitute nasty skimpy wings for something else ... so they include them in every combo meal knowing people will pony up the extra $1.50 - $2.50. A combo with 3 crab rangoon, 3 chicken fingers (substituted for wings) and an egg roll now costs almost $20. The quality here is on par with a mall food court ... which is to say, not great. Dry AF fried rice with fatty cubes of pork which have the consistency and taste of a pencil eraser. The rice was almost chewy it was so dry amd barely tasted like pencil shavings it was so bland. The crab rangoon was decent ... filled with fake cream cheese and almost no crab. If you are drunk, it's fine and filling. Nothing you couldn't throw in an air fryer from a frozen box. The chicken fingers were okay. Likeky frozen a year ago and thrown into a deep fat frier hours before you ordered and kept under a heat lamp. If you are drunk or high, you'll leave a 4/5 star review. If you are unfortunately sober when you eat this, it will remind you of the dsys you'd scrape your lawn mowing money together and splurge on Chinese food from the mall food court when you were in middle school. Overall, this is buffet food served as fresh made. The fact that everything had almost zero taste ... they better start putting hot mustard and soy sauce in orders unless that want continued 2/3 stars. Bottom line ... I was hoping for good old fashioned American style strip mall Chinese food. What I got ... sucked.
