Lili Wok - Chicken Chicken with Cashew Nuts - Chinese Near Me - Providence, Rhode Island

I didn't like this place until my friend recommended the sticky wings and they are by far the best I have ever tried. The sticky sauce taste almost like a sweet soy sauce/general tao sauce glaze. I wish the sauce were a little thicker so that it could stick on the wings more and so the breading would stay a little crunchier. I only come here for these wings and are the only thing on the menu I would vouch for. The rice taste very plain and the egg roll did have a very fishy taste--it tasted like the smell of the ocean. I also ordered the teriyaki sticks and they were actually good. I like that the meat was sliced thin and was not hard/tough. The parking is very small so I would recommend parking at CVS or dollar tree and walking across the street. read more

We came here on a weekday and we ordered three plates of food. We were told that it would take 15 minutes or so but it ended up taking about 40 minutes. There were other to-go orders but we were not very sure why things were taking that long. I ordered the sesame chicken and was pretty disappointed that there were no vegetables in the dish. The chicken itself was a little crispy but it was drenched in sauce, which was pretty overwhelming. The fried rice didn't have any veggies in it either and just looked like it was soaked in soy sauce. But the price was pretty cheap, at around $13 for the lunch plate. The egg roll that it came with was pretty soggy inside with very little taste or seasoning, and I'm not sure I would order it again. There was one long table inside and it was not very clean. The restaurant could have used some sweeping as well, since it was kind of dirty. We didn't have many options to eat at for lunch near our Airbnb but I'm not sure I would come back the next time I was in town given the taste of the food and the length of the wait. read more

Favorite Chinese Place!! House Lo Mein was full of veggies and proteins, great price for the portion size too.

I ordered through Uber eats. I left a message in the app to add extra sauce to my ribs. 3 times I wrote the message add extra sauce on the boneless ribs. I wish I could show you the pictures of the food I received. Burnt chicken wings. Dry asf ribs. Dry fried rice. I spent 25. And got the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten EVER.... read more

I just ordered delivery and everything came hot and the food was delicious! I got beef lo mein, chicken fried rice and dumplings and everything was perfect. It's not often that I'm so satisfied with customer service, delivery and quality of food . I will definitely order again. read more

I am a frequent flyer and I love this Chinese food restaurant!!!! Service is always with a smile and wonderful! Great place to eat at!

I actually like the broccoli in garlic sauce. My only with is that it was a bit more savory and garlicky and less sweet. A small amount of sugar helps but only a very small amount. I also would like vegetarian egg rolls. But the food is reminiscent if my fav restaurant from when I was a kid. If they changed those things it would be an A+++ from me ! I also love the doughnuts , they would be sooo good w powdered sugar!! read more

The service is amazing they are always so kind when I order my food, I normally order the teriyaki chicken and it's one of my favorite I def recommend read more

Perfect takeout American Chinese. Fairly inexpensive, and tastes like you expect. I always order extra so the next day I can cut everything up and make a big stir fry. read more

Terrible...all around terrible. Wrong food sent, what was sent correctly was prepared with so little care, it should be a crime. When you decide to chop up chicken fingers, toss it with veggies and peanuts and pass that off as Kung Pao chicken, and state that that is how it is made when a customer makes it clear how revolting it is...you should stop selling that item IMMEDIATELY. P.S. 'Wonton Soup' isn't spelled 'Egg Drop Soup'...it's not that complicated to send the right item. Needless to say, this place got free money...won't happen again. read more

The pinnacle of mediocre Chinese food: Lili Wok! There's something comforting about a plate of Lili Wok food, because it tastes like the best days of your life if you live in the neighborhood as a student or young adult. That being said, it also tastes incredibly bland, or far too salty. There's no in-between! But it can be perfect, given a special occasion. They also deliver until forever o'clock in the morning, which can be a lifesaver if you stumble in from the club at 3:30 a.m. and can't imagine your life without an egg roll and pork fried rice. This is not the restaurant you take a date. It's more of a restaurant you just get takeout from because it's there. When you don't care what you put into your body and your expectations are low, Lili Wok has everything you ever wanted and more. If you have not experienced better Chinese food than Lili Wok, then you just haven't lived. Lili Wok doesn't pretend to be an all-star restaurant, though. It's a two-star restaurant and is perfectly happy to remain so. Rock on, Lili Wok. read more

This review is subjective; it's comparative to the other Chinese food that's available in the area. I noticed this place pop up on grubhub and figured I would give it a go, given that I'm not too fond of some of the other places in the area. I was very, very impressed with the quality of the food here. Had a sweet & sour chicken dish, and mongolian chicken. The sweet and sour was excellent - even though the chicken was deep fried and the sauce was sweet & sour, it was not overwhelming like it can be at many other places. The taste was really nice, and I was very impressed. The chicken used in the Mongolian chicken was very tender and nice. Higher quality meat than I would usually expect from takeout. I'll be ordering from this place again in future. It's hard finding a takeout place that does it just the way you like it, but for me, this seems to be the one! read more

Fast deliver, good food, cheap, large quantity and open till midnight. And they also do online order. A good place for dinner at home. read more

I'd like to start off by saying that the employees were screaming at each other the entire 25 minutes I waited for my salty, overcooked food. Dirty restaurant with clutter stacked on the walls. Floors were so dirty my shoes stuck to the carpet when I walked. Never again. Don't waste your money. read more

The man and woman working were screaming at each other the whole time we were there. Foods salty, white rice is mushy fried rice is hard. Chicken rice soup tasted like they got the water from the ocean. Got my money back thanks DoorDash. Never again read more

First of all, I ordered delivery via Foodler. They are a bit faster than the Foodler estimated delivery time (by about 15 minutes). However, in my experience ordering from them, they call me but are never actually at my location. I give them so many helpful hints, but they never seem to deliver to the correct building! One time they forgot to give me any utensils! That being said, it strikes me as reasonable chinese takeout chinese. Don't expect much. Sometimes the food portions can be generous (e.g. the Lo Mein) but at other times they can go cheap (e.g. Shrimp and Broccoli). They give relatively little rice compared to other Chinese take-out places. I've noticed that generally speaking, the noodle dishes are much larger in quantity. The quality is not that bad. If you're looking for authentic Chinese, look elsewhere. If you're looking to get some of the Chinese-American takeout staples at a reasonable price for reasonable quality, you may have found a keeper. The value, however, is not that bad. I've had better for cheaper. Still a pretty good place if you're hungry and it's late. I know I'll probably be coming here again! read more

I called to order delivery, website said "closing soon", I called around 11pm, asked if I could get delivery still, they said do it through "DoorDash". Ordered crab rangoons, chicken fingers, and chicken with broccoli....... drop went great, quick delivery from door dash, I open the food and it's NOT anywhere near what I ordered, it's 4 chicken wings with pork fried rice then another side of pork fried rice with 2 spring rolls and an egg roll! SO, thanks for the rest of the nights left over stuff???? Really? $40!!! Just wanted some Chinese! Jeesh! I want my money back AND the correct food I ordered! THANK YOU! read more

My food took well over an hour to be delivered (I live 2 miles away). When I did get my food it was not what i was expecting at all. I ordered the seafood delight, it was described as a shrimp and lobster dish with veggies. I only got 3 pieces of shrimp, and the "lobster" was not lobster at all, it was imitation crab meat. There was also a piece of sliced chicken in my SEAFOOD delight dish. The crab rangoons were amazing. I would not have cared for the late delivery if what i ordered was what i expected. Not impressed. read more

I don't recommend eating here, I have done it twice and both times regretted it. The food is oily, the rice is never cooked right and the wings have either looked burned or a bit undercooked. Just stay away! read more

Not bad at all. Super fast delivery and food still hot! Prices very reasonable.

Run of the mill Chinese takeout, convenient location near PC, not bad but definitely not spectacular either. I wouldn't venture away from the standard chicken fingers, egg rolls, etc. unless you're really feeling brave. Spare ribs are good as well but once I got a batch that was very obviously spoiled (and had been for some time), which kind of dulled my enthusiasm for ordering them again. Bonus points for the delivery drivers, some of whom like to hang out on the PC campus while making deliveries and have been sighted at events like Late Night Madness and Civ Scream. read more

A little hole in the wall Chinese place with typical menu items and combo plates. Ordered from here many times and never had a bad experience but nothing really stood out as an amazing dish compared to other Chinese places in the area. They're open late and on all major holidays which makes it rather convenient when you have those late night munches. Staff are polite and the prices are very reasonable. 3 stars for the food, 4 stars for the friendly staff and another 4 stars for the convenience. read more

Really not good! The worst Chinese restaurant I have been there, the price is very cheap, but the food is not worth for that. No service, the kitchen is so dirty........never back read more

I feel like they just stole 30 bucks from me... I got the crab rangoons, basically just cream cheese. The boneless spare ribs (usually my favorite thing) were disgusting and tasted like they were either old or someone dropped a cigarette in while they were cooking. The lo mein was edible but it wasn't good. I didn't even try the pork fried rice that my gf ordered. We did get a free egg roll (ate about half because I was hungry) it was also gross but I am not a big fan of egg rolls in the first place. This is my first ever review but this was so bad that I felt like I had to write something. Oh and they were also kind if rude, and they hung up on me when I ordered so I had to call back to pay with my card. read more

It took a good 45 minutes for my food to be delivered to me when I live a 2 minute drive from the place. When I got my food it was wrong but when I tried to call to get what I ordered, the lady who picked up was extremely rude and insulting. After about 10 minutes of being left "on hold" she told me she would have someone bring me my food. It's been about another 40 minites since and still have not recieved the food I ordered. Terrible place to order. Just don't bother. read more

I love Lili Wok and I was confident I had already written a review for this place! I order from here and here only for take out. Its the perfect greasy kind of take out place you need when its rainy and you have HBO free for the weekend. The sticky chicken wings are awesome and the pork fried rice is one of the better one I have had. The spring rolls are perfect. The egg rolls can be greasy I dodge them. This place has your classic menu options: the general, all the lo mein's, and chow mein's and foo youngs...I rarely go and pick it up myself even though I am close. I find it goes faster when they bring the food to me. Anyways, it's not the kind of place I would go and sit in to eat. The phone rings constantly and it is hot as hell with all the cooking they are doing, it's crazy. But hey if they are busy then I know I will always have a good place to call for more sticky chicken wings. Indeed. read more
