One of the items was crab Rangoon's and we were giving some round crunchy awful smelling things. The pork fried rice stunk had a bad smell. I I should call the RIDOH on them. Ordered general chicken with apps and I have to be honest; I though Chinese takeout this bad was a myth! Beef teriyaki, boneless spare ribs, general chicken, all covered with the name neon orange goop. Sauce has a very unnatural texture almost jelled. Overall there is little or no flavor in anything. I don't even know where to start. The food is absolutely delicious. I came down here from New York to visit family and came across this Chinese food restaurant and let me tell you it lives up to the name. This is absolutely the best tasting Chinese food I have had in years. I ordered a general tso's combo and it was very flavorful. They are also very considerate when I told them I don't eat pork they made sure to substitute my pork fried rice with chicken instead. 10/10 will eat again. I rarely leave bad reviews, because I'd rather reward good behavior than denigrate bad behavior. However, my delivery experience with Best Taste demands comment. The good things first: the delivery was well ahead of estimated time, and the string beans with garlic sauce (while a bit heavy on the sauce for my liking) was delicious with a nice kick. But then we come to the salt and pepper calamari. Great Scott. On the left is the dish just as delivered and on the right is the dish without the calamari. If you're struggling to see the difference given the mountain of iceberg lettuce, you see the problem. Eight bucks for a small entree size (pint) of squid, and you bring me twelve rings?!? Come on, now. What there was, was very good -- but COME ON. If you're out of a dish, just say so. I can't deny these folks can cook but I am beyond disappointed with this experience. read more

This is my goto Americanized Chinese delivery place. I just had some Shrimp Ho Fun from here for breakfast this morning. Initially, I thought I was ordering from 'Great Taste', a Chinese place that's down the street from me. I thought Best Taste were just being slow. Turns out, they were way across town, roughly 15min away. I upped my tipping. Driver became nicer. They used to do crazy $4 dollar daily specials, and I would order boxes of shrimp lo mein and have lunch at work for the week. They no longer have this :( I usually have no trouble ordering over the phone, even without having to speak in [my broken] Chinese. Only one time did I have to pick out the chicken/pork from my Yang Chow Fried Rice after requesting it be left off. No big deal, I just ate slower. They have Ho Fun, the wide flat noodles. I like that I am seeing more takeout places having this on the menu. I think most people like it fresh and al dente, but I actually look forward to eating it the next day when it is a little softer. Another Jook-Sing favorite, the shrimp with lobster sauce, is the only thing I am disappointed in about this place. Thus far, Best Taste has lived up to its name. They changed locations not too long ago: the new building is spic n' span clean and the food is better than ever. While their menu is pretty identical to "Great Taste" (another takeout joint in my work area), the quality of the food is oh-so heavenly. The General Tso's chicken is a bite of juicy, explosion in my mouth but not in my stomach ecstasy. I usually order my combos with the white rice which is absolutely delish- you can totally tell it's seasoned with salt, oil and possibly loads of MSG. Yum yum yum. The beef with broccoli is also fantastic with tons of tender beef, crunchy broccoli and a zingy, thick sauce. It's unbelievable that their combos are so inexpensive during lunch: think $4.85 for chicken fingers, beef with broccoli and rice. The best part? They deliver regardless of how minimal the order is. Since I'm stuck here at work all day without a car, when the weather is less than desirable I like to order food in, at times, solo. They're just about the only place around that will deliver one four dollar meal especially during a peak business time. I have not found better Chinese food in this area especially that delivers. Lots of menu and size options so I can get a small green bean in garlic sauce and still order a main dish. The vegetables are fresh and crisp not mushy like they've been stewing for days and nothing is overly fried or sauced to hide stale or subpar ingredients. My only complaint is the dumpling sauce w/ scallions and the mushu plum sauce are both too salty. I love the dumplings, chicken wings, orange chicken and the nim chow was not the best I've had (it's all about the peanut sauce!) but definitely not the worst. They have lost a loyal costumer ! My sister had made this restaurant her regular Chinese takeout spot seeing as they have good vegan options unfortunately tonight their customer service was atrocious. My sister ordered delivery for the evening to be delivered to her dorm which she has done a million times .However the driver had trouble finding her location , he called her and she told him she would come out of her dorm and locate him he didn't want to and was rude to her on the phone and drove off with her meal. my sister was forced to drive to the restaurant where the owner preceded to side with driver and say he would only take a dollar off order which did not include the delivery fee which should have been voided since she had to drive and pick up the order!!. All this was stated to owner who said he didn't care and that she could go somewhere else. Well looks like we'll be going to New Peking the general tso is better there anyways read more
