Good place, open, clean comfortable, Sushi and sashimi, many good standards, mussels, clams, salads, shrimp, fried and cooked fish, chicken options, variety of dumplings, few minuses are the food could be spicier, the hot food could be warmer, maybe the air conditioning was cooling the "hot trays" The Sashimi is a plus, the clams a little "clammy", mussels were good, cold drinks, fruit, ice cream was a nice selection, hamachi option was available. A lot of room for improvement is all I can say. Seeing there was a new buffet in town, we wanted to check it out. Their social media boasts an array of Asian cuisine from your typical Chinese to sushi, hibachi and even some dim sum. I can't remember the exact price but it was all day dinner on Sat and I think it was somewhere in the $32-35 range. Plenty of parking as it's in a shopping plaza with a Shaws, Dollar Store, Liquor Store - you catch my drift. Some of our party were already seated when we got there so 4 of us walked in and weren't greeted at all. There were 3 workers at the front counter and not one of them acknowledged us. We waited for a while and finally walked towards them and said our party is already here, then they finally looked up and said hello and led us to our table. The staff seems to be younger and the place is fairly new so some proper training may be needed. The place is a nice looking spot with a good buffet setup - just needs some work on the food. The food is subpar, there weren't any standouts at all. It's great that they have an array of food but if at least half of it was good, I'd be happy with that. The sushi is just ok, the dim sum options, although nice to have would be great to have if they were really tasty, they weren't. Nothing was "bad" but nothing was "great". The only thing I somewhat enjoyed was the fried calamari but wish it was crunchier and the wings were juicy. For a buffet, it serves its purpose and a lot of people are complaining about the higher price tag. I'm all about paying a higher price if the food warrants it - this did not. The place is very spacious and the spread has potential to be amazing if they fine tuned their offerings. We ended the meal with some ice cream - not great either. My strawberry shortcake ice cream was meh and the ice cream cone, well the cone was not crunchy at all and soft to the touch. I will say our waitress was great - quick to refill drinks and clear plates. I won't be back any time soon unless the food options get better. read more

This new restaurant convientily located right next to Shaws in North Providence serving a great assortment of various fare, from Korean to Chinese to Japanese to American. They have fresh sushi made moment to moment and a Mongolian grill also. The wait staff are outstanding, personable and efficient. Its a little pricey but it does match the items on the buffet, such as lobster, king crab legs and more. Will return one day soon. read more

Honestly not impressed. The buffet was empty but there were plenty of customers. The food was not really replenished. Then I asked the manager what was in the steamed buns and he said he didn't know - but it was definitely not the labeled chicken feet. I got up to say hello to a familiar face and the waitress took my brand new plate. So I had to go remake my plate but to missing items. The sushi was non existent but the pieces I had were ok. and the soups were really underwhelming. Some of the food items were good - the eggplant and the General Tsos but not too impressive. And dessert was not up to standards. The service was ok- at best. Getting some more water was a chore but she had no problem taking the plates right under your fork. And the pop music was loud and the restaurant was modern and clean- creating a good feel and good vibes. But overall the 30$ a person..... Will I be back? I don't think so. read more

This was a refreshing new experience to the typical all you can eat buffet. This place is SPOTLESS! Everything is clean, presented well and fresh. The staff are also friendly and accommodating. What sets this apart is their variety. They have several choices of Dim Sum which was delicious and usually not available at other local buffets. I came here for lunch, and the dining room only had a few customers, but I can imagine it gets busy during dinner. The only "con" is that I thought it was a tad pricey in comparison. I'll take it considering how clean, and fresh the food is. read more

To be fair, I'm not really a buffet person to begin with but, I have 9 & 10 y/o daughters who who like anime and any thing they can eat with chopsticks we live in the neighborhood and have been checking the place out since the signage went up. we came at about 5pm on a friday-I sent them in to grab a menu to look over ... weekday nights m-f 4-9 is a cpl bucks cheaper than weekend nights; 29.95 for adults and 16.95 for children 6-10...ultimately, we went in...There were a decent amount of seafood options which they were excited about but everything I had was just ok. The few sushi pieces I had tasted fishy and the beef in the Mongolian beef was jiggly, the chicken skewers were dry dry. The peel and eat shrimp were good & the establishment was clean. the servers were attentive. Beverages were included. They ended up charging me the weekend price but, I mentioned it and they fixed it... dinner for the 3 of us came to 72.20 (plus tip) ... not too crazy but, not something I'd do again for a standard buffet read more

Came hungry, left full -- mission accomplished. Ichiraku Buffet has a big selection, solid sushi for a buffet, and a hibachi station that actually makes it worth coming back. Great family dinner! Service was awesome! Food was all very fresh and delicious. Staff was attentive and quick to clean empty dishes offering replenishments. Even the included ice cream was clearly a very good quality ice cream. The fried dumplings and spring rolls were crispy and not greasy at all. The hotpot broths were rich and very flavorful. Really not sure all those places even still in business. A friend and I went and tried it out and some food was good but the sushi wasn't even cold. The price was good for the amount of food that was there to choose from but the food quality was not fresh. I was excited because there was shrimp, but it was all stuck to the ice cubes. Deceptive pricing first problem, buffet is double on the weekend, there are no signs stating cost so you can make a decision at the door. The food is horrible, there is a chemical taste in the fish, egg/spring rolls the same. $135.74 with two of the four being Veterans and with an alleged 10% off and was still $135.74, needless to say there was not a tip (for what a glass of water, it is a buffet people). My family will NEVER eat there again; the cost is ridiculous with the lack of quality in the food; it is JUST TERRIBLE! Even if you dont like it, & they ck your plate when they take it away n note it. On the wall there's another 10% charge for something else n they include the tip on your bill. Waitresses who hover over you while eating were nice & friendly, but a little pushy asking if we were done with our plate. Kenny the owner and the staff did an excellent job accommodating our funeral guests and our family, in providing an array of fresh and abundant meal. The food was plentiful & delicious, and we could not have been more pleased. The restaurant was well staffed, the seating areas were clean, large, with a back room for a large party even. The reviews on here contradict some on other sites. Went here about a week ago and it wasnt bad bad - just meh. Sadly that means I probably wont be returning as for me to return to anywhere the place has to be outstanding - and theres not many of them around. Meat skewers were very dry, nothing was labelled, and I thought it was expensive for what it was. Everything was great! Neat set up for a buffet, very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the sushi and the fried rice. Good vibes, nice background music, and the wait staff is so friendly. New restaurant just opened. It's the worst Buffet in Rhode Island! They charge $40 a plate PER PERSON!!! And that's before drinks. The variety of food is disappointing. Food looks like it's been there all day and the drinks tasted like syrup. Someone warned me but I wanted to try for myself. It's looks like it was patched together and the food is not appetizing.
