So... as you see I don't post too much,, but this is worth my 2 cents....for the pricing of food and quality it is ABSOLUTELY not worth it. I get its in a casino, but I got the chicken which mainly had very small filets of chicken on a massive bed of mashed potatoes for $33... ummm am I paying for the tators..... or the restoration of the casino... or because COVID screwed eveyone!!?!?!?!? We had dinner here when spending the night up in Blackhawk. It was very expensive, but really good! Our dinner, appetizers, drinks and service were all excellent. My husband had prime rib and I had the chicken. Our waitress was lovely with a very engaging personality! The dessert was ok, crème brûlée, no fruit, just a meringue cookie. Cons - Warning - do not eat here. It's not worth the prices and the food is awful. Roxy restaurant needs to be inspected by a health inspector. We ordered the tenderloin tips ($21) and salmon bites as an appetizer. The tenderloin was spoiled. My sister got sick with nausea, a headache and diarrhea a few hours after eating just a bite. The salmon bites were too salty to eat. The chicken meal wasn't worth the price. It came with overdone, soggy asparagus and a pile of mashed potatoes with two chicken fillets. Not worth the price at $36. The simple salad is just that - simple. At $9.00 don't order it. In fact don't bother eating here. What a ripoff. Even at lower prices the food is bad. Pros - The service was good except they were supposed to take off the tenderloin because it was spoiled, but they didn't. You've been warned. read more

My husband and I went there to give them a try. Never again! We sat for over 10 minutes before being served water and bread. A little while later server came over. We placed our entire order at that time since we had waited so long. Drinks (bar drinks do take time but that was done before the lemonade). Crab cake was slight burnt on top, bottom completely burnt. Shrimp cocktail was okay. My husband's steak came out, done med-well like we ordered. Several minutes later after checking on the rest of our food, my steak arrived (smaller size but medium instead of medium well as ordered), shrimp scampi was over cooked. My daughter got married yesterday, it was a very small ceremony and we were all staying at the Monarch. My daughter wanted to have dinner at Roxy's. We were a table for 12. Mark was our server and let me tell you that he needs a raise or a promotion. He was absolutely on top of everything making sure everyone was happy. He recommended drinks and was very engaging. He made everyone laugh. If we ever come back to Blackhawk and eat at Roxy's we will only have Mark as our server. read more

DISSAPOINTING! I went here with my family and trust me we are very easy going people. Firstly, my glass was filthy. I then ordered the wagu burger medium rare and it was supposed to come with shoe string fries. The burger came out dry and well done and it came out with dry, cold and thick steak cut fries. Upon discussing our disappointment with our waitress, she quickly became defensive and kept repeating in a condescending tone "like I said, I would have been happy to have them to cook it again". We've been to almost every steakhouse in the Denver metro area and other steakhouses across the country including in Chicago, New York, California, Wisconsin, etc. so- I know what I'm talking about. Tonight I had dinner at Roxy steakhouse. For my appetizer I split the beet salad with the friend I attended dinner with, and the dressing complimented the beets and goat cheese wonderfully. For my dinner I split the Delmonico steak, king crab, and potato and all of them were delicious. The steak, 16 oz, was plenty to share and they even cooked each half at a different temperature. The crab legs were fantastic, perfectly cooked. Our server, Stacey, was very attentive, offered many recommendations of both food and drinks, continued to check on us, and overall made our dining experience delightful. We made reservations to have dinner on the 4th of July. My husband and I ordered martinis one grey goose vodka and the other Bombay sapphire gin. We then ordered our dinners We had wedge salads that were really skimpy below average. Husband had a steak with one asparagus spear and carrot. He had to ask for mushrooms. I had a bowl of lobster bisque soup. My sister in law and her husband had chicken that was burnt and no drinks. When the bill came the bill showed our martinis were $17.50 each. I came into this restaurant last weekend and was served by Stacey. She was amazing!! Highly recommend her. She was incredibly attentive and one of the friendliest servers I had ever met. She took our order promptly while also working as a hostess, continually checked on us, and made it an overall great experience. The food was pretty good, but the service really put it over the top. Ask for Stacey if you ever stop by this place! She recommended the Delmonico Steak (apparently one of their more well known dishes) with some red wine and it was pretty delicious. When we go to a steakhouse with 5-star prices, I expect 5-star food. We went to Roxy's on Saturday 10/3/2020. First, they couldn't cook my friends filet properly, yes she wanted it medium well, but they could have butterflied it instead of turning it into a hockey puck. My lemon drop martini was just vodka with a lemon, it was terrible. Our "loaded baked potatoes" for $10 was a luke warm baked potato with shredded cheese sprinkled on it and a little bacon. I never received my appetizer. My husband had the prime rib, which was cooked properly, medium rare, but it was cold. My crab legs were good. We had dinner here last night, it was good, however overpriced for the quality of the food. I had the Delmonico ribeye, and my partner had the 22oz bone in ribeye. Heard about this place on the Radio from Winston and Mel on Kool 105 and also from Slacker and Steve on 105.9 So It was a must do on our trip to Black hawk. Shout out to Rob who did an amazing job and was just a wealth of information. Everything you'd want in a bartender. My wife had a dirty martini was Rob even went to the back and grabbed some blue cheese and hand stuffed olives for my wifes drink. I had the "girly" "foofoo" drink as rob called it, It was the Mocha Expresso I believe it was called, at any rate it delivered the Caffeine boost I required. As my roommate was a chef there and was on salads and expo she did our shrimp cocktail and it must've been a bad thing of shrimp because it tasted not amazing. as we were aware of recent menu changes we were a little hesitant to go. when it comes to salads the wedge salad was pretty okay but my grandmothers salad came out about 10 minutes later. when the steaks came out mine personally had no seasoning and i got the oscar style they used bernasise instead of hollandaise, there were chunks of shell in my crab. my grandmothers carrots and asparagus were rock hard and as she has no teeth she couldn't bite into it. my mothers lobster came out and was burnt to shit and rubbery and when we brought it to the waiters attention he asked if we wanted another one. he brought out one that was a lot better but still a tad bit overcooked. all of our sides came out about 10 minutes after the meal ended. We then brought it to the manager Sam and Norris the GM's attention. Sam proceeded to turn and blame my roommate for our meals even though she personally had no hand in them and my roommate personally brought out all of our meals. This evening lead to my roommate walking out on the spot. The blatant disrespect for my roommate as a chef 3 (the step below a sous chef) and the family of her. We went in on a Saturday night (6/12/2021) and sat in the bar around 8pm excited to eat here because it used to be Farradays and my husband couldn't stop talking about the crab legs he had there before. This time? Not so much. We sat down and waited almost 10 minutes before we were finally greeted. He finally came back and we ordered the drinks and our apps STILL waiting for bread and water. I finally asked for water again and he brought one for my husband. When we had our app almost done he tried to take our plate asking, did you want anything else? Uh ya....dinner. We ordered the Delmonico, crab legs, loaded baked potatoes without onions, and a side of mashed potatoes. I asked for him to bring steak sauce when the order arrives as well. Entrees come out, not together and the sides? Mashed first then my potato which had onions so I had to send it back. I again asked for steak sauce which I never got and my husbands butter for his crab legs. The only reason this has 2 stars?
