3.5 stars. Staff: They were very kind and friendly. I haven't been here in a long long time and I went with my friend. I ordered their garlic chicken and it was okay at first but then as I ate a few more pieces I realized that it was quite dry and rough. The batter was quite hard, not that crispy. They provided a good amount but it was on the harder side, unfortunately. However, I love their mac salad. In the future maybe I'll try something that's not fried and def. order their mac salad again. read more

First time at Roxy's and enjoyed our meals. Came for lunch and we ordered the kalbi short ribs, katsu chicken and the spicy garlic crispy chicken. The kalbi short ribs did not disappoint. These were thick cut short ribs u like other places I have ordered from. The spicy garlic crispy chicken was my favorite. Had that sweet, spicy and zesty flavor to it. All orders came with rice and pasta salad. It definitely came with a lot of food - good enough to share. The spam musubi was delicious too. Perfect balance with the rice to spam combo. The service was fast and attentive. They were getting busy for lunch service. This location isn't that big. They have indoor and outdoor seating to choose from. Been to this locations serval times. Went in Friday at 5:30pm today and there was 0 aloha. 4 staff members had the opportunity to say "one moment sir," but they all looked like they needed a break. Two people looked at me while they were on the register fixing some order, then they went to the cook and said they needed fries added to some order and he rolled his eyes. There were a ton of people waiting and I assume they were taking online orders as well (turn that off on a Friday). Lesson learned, don't come here during peak hours. I really like Roxy's Grill -- the food itself is good and clearly made fresh. That said, it does feel like it's getting a bit overpriced for the portions you get. Service can also be on the slower side, which I think is because they prepare everything to order. The space itself isn't the best for dining in. Tables weren't very clean during my visit, and seating is limited, so I'd recommend it more for takeout than eating there. I actually preferred their old location, which felt faster and more seamless overall. For takeout, the food is solid, but it is disappointing that the prices are on the higher end. In my opinion, takeout should cost a little less since there's less service involved. Still, if you're looking for fresh, tasty food to go, Roxy's is a decent option. read more

Time for an update. I was the first to review this place when it was in its original location. Back then, the owner worked the grill and the food was consistently fresh and delicious. The food continues to be good, but the prices have gone up (which is to be expected, but the sizes have also gotten smaller, the containers flimsy and the service is just not the same. It's especially frustrating that this specific franchise does not participate in the Roxy's App.... Making ordering online next to impossible. No one behind the counter could give a definitive answer on how I might be able to order ahead without paying extra for Door Dash, etc. And the lowest tip they automatically allow is 20% for counter service, which really has me "get off my lawn" grumpy these days. read more

ROXY'S ALWAYS HITS The one thing I miss about living in Beaverton/Portland or Oregon in general is shoyu chicken! Not sure why all the Hawaiian restaurants I've tried in The Bay never have shoyu chicken Roxy's has a pretty mean shoyu chicken, nice and sweet and the meat just falls apart and shreds so well. I always crave it and I'm always so happy when I'm able to stop by on my visits up here. I have to say though, it would be so much better if the rice wasn't so dry! It's fine when you drown it in the shoyu chicken sauce, but a nice sushi rice or densely packed jasmine rice would be perfect. This is why I don't like the spam musubis here. read more

I've been an 808 grinds eater for a decade, but Roxy's has taken over as the best. Both are amazing imo. Roxy's has better Mac salad for my palate, and that's how I judge Hawaiian food. I Always get the kilbi ribs. Sometimes they are a little burnt. But they make up for it with large portions, and the times they don't overcook the food it's perfect. Just ordered from them for the first time, I'm celiac so I was excited to see that they had a gluten free specific option for their plates. They also had very good labeling around with items were gluten free or not. Unfortunately when I received my order they subbed out my steamed veggies for macaroni salad without asking me so it did NOT give me any faith that they actually care about any allergy warnings on their meals. If you are gluten intolerant or celiac I'd say tread very carefully. Please do not claim something is gluten free if you can't promise that, you will make someone horribly sick. She has an attitude towards all the delivery drivers that pick up from her.. she treats them in demeaning ways, talks to them like their all mindless! Pretty solid lunch from Roxy's! I went for half kahlua pork and half garlic chicken. I also added the rice, veggies, and noodles. The veggies are always so-so, but they break up the heaviness of the rest of the meal, so not a bad choice. Over cooked chicken and Mac salad is way thick like it is nothing but mayo in your mouth. My wife went in for Pineapple chicken New Year's Eve night. The chicken was over cooked and full of old grease then. I figured it was the end of the night and New Year's Eve so whatever I would go back when they were open and get it remade. Came back and did the same thing to me it was a line and I got my food in less than 5 minutes when people were waiting before me. I took the food and just left. Won't be going back to this Roxy's. There are better Roxy's in Portland and in Aloha. Someone needs to teach the person serving the food not to give customers old greasy food and throw sauce on it like it's fresh! A shame! Mighty decent meal at a very reasonable price. The meat is so tender, moist and tasty! I've stopped in here a few times and have never been disappointed. There's very limited seating inside but the do have an outdoor patio. If it's raining or cold at lunchtime you might be eating in your car but otherwise I've never had a problem finding a place to sit. Lots of parking. Best to enter and leave on Jenkins heading west. Navigating the traffic around Cedar Hills Blvd is insane. Staff is great. Very hard working and cheerful. There's usually a line but they do get you in and out quickly. read more

Big menu offered, some plates only available on certain days. Restaurant is what you'd expect, clean and they have an outdoor patio as well. Self serve sauces / utensils. I got the Kalbi chicken plate lunch and it was yummmy! Chicken was cooked great. Very juicy and flavorful. For sides I got the classic rice / veggies / mac. Veggies were simple, steamed, rice was on the dry side, but the mac was really good. If I were to do it again (and I will) I'd sub out the rice for $1 for either double mac or their fried noodles! I like to eat here, the main entree is usually pretty good, although the grilled chicken can be very dry. My biggest issue is that when I order an entree with only veggies, all I ever get is a plate full of cabbage. The pictures on their menu online show a variety of veggies including broccoli, carrots, etc. - this is a deceptive, misleading practice for sure! Last year, I inquired about getting a gift card for my 94 year old Father-in-Law at the Beaverton Roxy's. The employee said they get so many requests for gift cards but the owners are worried about the cards being scammed. So this year I drove over to the Aloha Roxy's to inquire. By the way most of the Roxy's do not have public telephone numbers so a customer must drive to the restaurant. I drove to the Aloha Roxy's today. I was told that the gift card purchase would only be for the Aloha Roxy's and that NOT ALL THE ROXY'S have gift cards available. I then asked if they could call the Roxy's that is closed to Tigard and they said they could not SINCE there is no phone number. I did not want to have to drive there only to be told that the particular restaurant in Sherwood was not doing the gift cards. Later in the afternoon, I found a phone number for the Tualatin Roxy's. The employee said that THERE IS AN EXTRA CHARGE (Activation fee) for purchasing a gift card and it depends on the amount. I was planning on purchase at least $30-$40 gift card. I told them that the staff at Aloha never told me that. I was only told that wherever the gift card is purchased that it is only for that particular restaurant.
