    808 Fried Chicken

Wow, I'm not normally a fan of the Hawaiian cuisine due to past experiences but I thought I would give this highly rated place a try and I'm so glad I did! I ordered the 808 chicken combo and it was bomb! Chicken was juicy and had a nice light fried batter. Added on the complimentary sauces (my favourite was the sweet wasabi) Service was excellent as they brought it right out to our table. You can dine inside or enjoy the weather outside on their large family picnic tables. I've got this place as now my #1 spot for Hawaiian Cuisine.

808 Grinds in Hillsboro is a hidden gem tucked into a small corner of a plaza, but absolutely worth finding. The service is always friendly, and the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and served in huge portions. I've tried their chicken katsu and salmon burger, and nothing on the menu ever disappoints. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quantity and flavor you get, truly a great value. Everything is so good that I find myself craving it and always wanting to go back. One of my favorite spots in the area!

Stop scrolling--this is the Hawaiian spot you've been looking for. My husband and I have visited multiple times, and the food and service are consistently fantastic. The staff is warm, welcoming, and full of genuine aloha spirit, which truly sets this place apart. We hadn't found authentic, delicious Hawaiian food like this on the mainland until coming here. I absolutely love the Da Combo. The kalua pig is juicy, tender, and melt-in-your-mouth good, while the shoyu chicken is deeply flavorful and aromatic with just the right balance of seasoning. Over several visits, we've made our way through all the desserts, and every single one has impressed. My personal favorites are the sweet potato and haupia pie--perfectly sweet with an almost cookie-like crust--and the lilikoi cheesecake, which features a rich, creamy filling balanced by a bright, tangy topping. The ambiance is cozy, smells incredible, and features great music that never overpowers the space. They also offer covered, enclosed, and heated outdoor seating; the patio is pet-friendly, and the building is accessible--thoughtful touches that make the experience even better.

Easy, quick service during lunch rush! I found the shoyu good, but the kalua pig was a bit dry.

Special: Kalbi pork belly w/gochujang sauce.

As someone from Hawaii, this place is not bad (okish) . Got the special of Kalbi pork belly w/gochujang sauce. I liked it would try other plate lunch items. Mac salad is a bit too heavy on the mayo for my taste and had peas. They have Hawaiian Sun (juice), but they are $2.50 (usually sold for $1.00). Loved the vibes inside, they play local music and they have a large warm seating area next to windows. On the weekend, this place is quite busy and parking lot is small.

My experience was just ok! Listening to the reviews had me feeling catfished. Not super happy with the 808 fried chicken. It seemed old and not crispy or flavorful in any way. The kalbi ribs were meaty and done well. The poke sampler had some interesting flavors and was very fishy tasting, had me a bit nervous. Sad to say this will be our last visit to this establishment.

Visited the 808 Grinds Hawaiian Cafe at 10100 SW Park Way and they're affiliated so I had to try this location. The first thing you'll notice as you drive up is the parking. This location has a smaller parking lot behind the restaurant. It's a cute/quaint looking building with one handicapped parking spot right in front. Staff was just as pleasant and friendly. The restaurant has about 4 tables inside and more covered dining outside. As for the food, it all pretty good, and got the following: Spam musubi (spam was a little on the thin side) and proportionately a little too much rice, IMO. Loco Moco was really good and sunnyside eggs were perfect. For some, it may be a little underdone. Wontons were okay, kind of mid but the butter mochi cake bites were really good. Perfect texture. The Trifecta which has fried chicken (good), pulled pork (good and tender) and shoyu chicken (shredded chicken was tender but a little dry) Overall, still a good visit...just didn't "wow" me the first time when i had their kalbi-pork belly at the other location.

3.5 stars. Overall the food was good. But disappointed they didn't have just wasabi or hot mustard by itself so I can mix with shoyu for my poke. When I asked about it, they looked at me like I was an alien, lol. They only had wasabi mixed with mayo. Had to make my own kine sauce for that hot kick. Must be the Haole style? Got the shoyu chx and kalua pig. Flavor was Ono but I like the chx skin. Haha buggah was kinda dry, not sure if I got the chx breast or just skinless thigh but again, prob catering to the greater population. Not a bad experience but not what I thought it would be visiting from Hawaii and repping the 808

Everything is always so good. All around I've eaten here dozens of times and I don't think I've had anything that wasn't excellent.
