Build Your Own Poké Bowl (Regular)- spicy albacore, garlic salmon, all toppings, & wasabi black pepper sauce
    Kimmy L.

My friends and I stopped by SeaSweets Poke for a quick lunch before hitting up the Nike Employee Store. This was our first time eating here. SeaSweets has a unique variety of fish options that you won't find at most other poke chains including truffle salmon, garlic salmon, cumin lime shrimp, and coconut lemongrass ahi. A nice perk is that they allow you to sample before you choose! A regular poke bowl (one scoop of fish, but can split to up to two options) costs $16.25 and a large poke bowl (two scoops of fish) costs $20.25, which seems on the steeper side for poke, but portions ended up being quite large. I ordered a regular BUILD YOUR OWN POKE BOWL and chose brown rice as my base and the garlic salmon and spicy albacore as my protein. For sides (which you can also get either one full scoop of one option or two half scoops of two options), I chose the hijiki edamame and the lemon pepper krab salad. You can get as many toppings as you want and so I went all out with the fried chili oil, pickled ginger, masago, nori, and wasabi pepper sauce. Upon my first bite, the wasabi pepper sauce was quite overwhelming as all I could taste was black pepper. The fish (even upon sampling) wasn't super tasty and honestly pretty watery, even with the sauce. The biggest mistake I made though was the fried chili oil. As someone who normally orders 4 or 5 stars at Thai restaurants, this chili oil was BURNING HOT both on my lips and throat! The lemon pepper krab salad was an absolute necessity in cooling my mouth down and I definitely needed more of it. Drinking ice water didn't cool the fire either and I unfortunately had to end up tossing half of it because it was just inedible, something I very rarely do. One of my friends (who tolerates spice well too) had the same issue and also ended up throwing most of his out. TLDR, beware the chili oil!! The interior is clean, modern, and simplistic- nothing fancy by any means. I will note that they had the A/C on very high to the point where I was shivering while eating. Service was good and the servers were friendly. You bus yourself, so there's not much service involved outside of putting your bowl together. Overall: 2/5 for food, 3/5 for service, 3/5 for atmosphere

It was really good! Small fish portion but that's the norm at all the spots I have been too around here. I got the shoyu ahi and it was shmackin! They could use better menu to order from but they have hand written notes on the glass and you basically just walk it down and tell them what you want.

Such unique poke flavors!! We built our own bowls and the staff were really quick with it and offered a variety of unique toppings that you just can't find anywhere else. It's a quick casual shop with lots of spacious seating and parking outside

I saw them from the TooGoodToGo deal. I thought I'll give it a try. Well, it's quite a disappointment. The deal included 2 bags of food. One bag of very hard brown rice that is about 3 cups worth. The other one is a bag of mixed fish that looks like food from a garbage disposal. It has a mixed of flavors in it. The worst is I had about 3 table spoons of fish and a little bit b of rice that afternoon and I threw up twice after that. If the food is bad they should not sell them to TooGoodToGo. It only ruins their concept.

This is my favorite place for poke, and I really appreciate that all the ingredients are listed out clearly so that I can avoid alcohol containing sauces and marinades. The best part is that the staff are happy to give samples of the proteins and even offer to go half and half on protein scoops when it's hard to choose between all their delicious fish! Most often the seating area is mostly empty, but the line at the counter is almost always moving as this is super easy to take to-go. Bring your vegetarian friends too, as they have great vegetarian options too and don't forget to sign up for their rewards to get free perks like extra toppings etc as they're easy (and delicious) to earn!

I got a regular and they were very generous with the amount of fish in my bowl! It tasted fresh and healthy. I recommend going light on the sauce though if you notas the fish is already well seasoned! The staff who helped me was very nice as well.

When I'm in Beaverton and craving Poke, SeaSweets Poke is my must-visit place. The restaurant is always clean, and the ingredients look fresh every time I visit. I also love the generous portions; there are so many options to customize your bowl just how you like it. My usual order is half brown rice and half greens as the base, with two scoops of sushi, topped with seaweed salad and imitation crab salad. It's simple, filling, and always hits the spot. The friendly staff makes the experience even better. If you're a Poke fan, this spot is worth checking out.

Lots of options to build your own poke bowl. Friendly staff. Clean dining room. Thai tea and miso soup good as well. Large portions.

The poke bowls here are yummy. Sometimes I feel like the rice ratio is really over powering. They have a good selection of fish and toppings! Staff is helpful and gets the job done. Inside seems kind of plane but I've always got mine to go.

I feel pretty lucky to have a poke place. That's really good pretty close to my house. The fish is always tasty, and the toppings are pretty plentiful. I love all the sauces and for his hockey on top of the bowl. Their chili oil is also really good. It's not that spicy, but it adds a really good flavor and crunch to the bite. Also a little bit of heat. I usually get the truffle salmon, but I got the spicy tuna this time. The Fishy flavor was deaf. Definitely there, but I think I prefer my poke in chunks rather than grounded up like the spicy tuna was. I only grape is I wish to Kwon that he was a little bit more for how much they charge but I understand that's how things are nowadays. I got the regular, which was about $15 and I probably could eat two of those.

SeaSweets is a sweeeeet spot! Try it, you'll see!! Seriously, it's great value and good quality poke. Lots of good options and quality ingredients make for a tasty lunch. It's a good portion for the regular, but the large size is good too! The one snafu today included the internet being down. We didn't realize our mobile order didn't go through until we went to pick it up - at which point we had to reorder the entire thing. That time suck was a bummer - but lunch was still good! Just an hour later than anticipated. Warning: The spicy Mayo is as advertised!! Delicious, but definitely has a kick!

Truffle Salmon Poke Bowl on kale with kimchi corn and krab salad (large $16)
    Kristi P.

We needed some poke for the summer heat wave. This place is build-your-own, but they start off with pre-marinated proteins. I got the kale salad base with truffle salmon, pepper krab salad, and kimchi corn. The salmon was marinated with thin-sliced Serrano peppers, which gave a nice heat. The corn had some small bits of kimchi cabbage mixed in, but was not very tart or spicy or sweet, for that matter. The kale was nice for texture, but the dressing on it was too salty for my taste. I got the Large ($16), which includes 2 scoops of protein (you can mix), and it was quite filling. You can order on their website, but there isn't an option for choosing 2 different proteins for the large.

The owner of Reedville called me today and sincerely apologize for the situation that took place lastnight! I wasn't asking for anything but an apology last night and that did not come from the manager, but the owner was not pleased and is more than adequately taking care of things for us! I have to say that says a lot about his business ethics! After talking to him I understand he is in a really tough spot! He is a new owner and trying to live up to the expectations of his customers who have been coming there for many years! He is trying to keep things the way that Rick had them so it keeps customers happy but there are things he would like to change (the meal we had lastnight is one of then) but he is afraid to ruin the reputation of the restaurant by making changes to quickly! He is keeping the menu consistent with the original menu and recipes and hoping the customers will be willing to accept that some changes can be good, so he can possibly try new things! I really do appreciate him calling me back and at least apologizing and recognizing that the situation that happened last night was not appropriate! With all that said, because of him I will give them another try! I hope that others will too! Let's all give him a little time to get settled and hope that he will continue to make good changes, that continue to please the public! Thank you very much! Original review: HORRIBLE, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! QUALITY WENT DOWN THE DRAIN!!! There are lots of the other restaurants out there that have quality and stand behind their business We have been long time customers at Readville Cafe, tonight we received an order that was nothing short of a Denny's restaurant! We called and complained to the manager and all she did was offers to come in on a Tuesday and get a senior discount! Seriously???? I said why would I come back in for food that was inferior and you're not even going to stand behind? She said, well all I can say is our recipes haven't changed so, next time you come in don't order that! Because of her response I certainly wouldn't go back and I really think that other people should think about it themselves! Like I said to her, If your food hasn't changed then you should be willing to stand by your Recipe/Quality because, today, it is not good! The chicken fried steak looked like a little thin hamburger patty with some kind of cheap breading, like it a premade store-bought processed patty. Typically chicken fried steak is a chicken breast pounded out with a crunchy breading that is deep fried. The vegetables stink!!! They were hard and smelled rotten, like the broccoli and cauliflower were old! The gravy was just short of a packaged gravy you could make from the grocery store! The manager would not budge on belief of our experience, stating their food was high quality and nothing had changed in years. She was rude and was not even apologetic , she would not offer a discount and didn't care that she had an unhappy customer! If this is how they run their business then people should think hard about going there! This certainly NOT the Reedville Cafe that it always has been! The old owner and manager, Rick, would never have treated customers like that!, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! QUALITY WENT DOWN THE DRAIN!!! There are lots of the other restaurants out there that have quality and stand behind their business

I wanted to try them and ordered 5 pounds of mussels in December. They delivered the mussels when they said they would. But the 5 pounds quickly ended up being only 3 1/2 pounds of usable mussels due to the initial short weight and the large number of broken and opened mussels. After I was invoiced for the full 5 pounds, I emailed them with an explanation and photos of the bad mussels and how much they weighed. I asked if they would discount the mussels. They actually cancelled my invoice, which I appreciated. But this is their email response. "Fresh live shellfish is not an exact science, we try to offer the best quality and freshest products possible but that is a slightly different experience than the buying at the grocery store. Sorry for your inconvenience, we are better than the rest but still not for everyone." This sounded to me like they didn't like me complaining about this problem and that I wasn't someone that they wanted for a customer. Guess I was right, looks like they took me off of the weekly email list as I haven't received their emails since my complaint. Overall, this was not a good customer experience.

The kalbi and spicy chicken were enjoyable but the fried rice was okay. It felt like it was missing something that would have made it stand out. Overall, I had a good experience.
