A decent bagel but I'm not sure I understand the pricing of said bagels. Could have been any where, San Fran, Seattle, New York and had the same scene but arguably better bagels. read more

Darn good bagel, if you like this style of bagel. The attitude here is way too precious. You have to pay more to "customize" your half- or full-dozen bagels. RIDICULOUS, when other shops discount a dozen. read more

UPDATE: They opened in a new location- right around the corner in Biddeford. Its take out only!

Great gluten free bagels! I got the lox bagel and it was outstanding. Long wait so definitely order an hour before you'll want it.

Best bagels ever. All sourdough. So healthy. Homemade feel of crispy outside and soft inside. The cream cheese is amazing too!

Rover is a local joint that is a bagels by morning and pizza by night! Oven baked bagels with quite a few choices and combinations. I ordered the multi grain with lemon thyme and honey spread. Also tried the fresh cinnamon roll which I gobbled up before a picture Both very good! read more

I placed an order online for a dozen bagels and paid extra to select what I wanted. When I got the order they gave me a dozen plain. Not what I ordered. $29 for 12 plain bagels. Never again. Drive the extra 10 minutes to Scratch in South Portland! read more

I called in an order for a dozen bagels. I was charged extra because I wanted to order three different kinds of bagels. When I picked up my order I was given 12 plain bagels. They still charged me extra. Not the end of the world but still not a good look. read more

Meh. This place had nice bagels, but was I blown away, no. My friend and I ordered different types of bagels with different spreads. The service we lovely, and the coffee was great, but the schmear was pathetic. When I order a bagel at other places within the area I expect some heavy duty cream cheese, this place didn't deliver that. They had an amazing list of types of spreads but you could barely taste them because of the lack of actual product. Is Rover better than other spots in and around Biddeford/Saco? Maybe. Is it worth a drive there, not in my opinion. read more

Rover might be in Biddeford, ME but it started out as a pop up inside a Salem, MA restaurant and it was clear from that first pop up that they were destined for great things. Kim and Alec have built a cult-like following of bagel enthusiasts and it's clear to see why; one bite and you'll be hooked, wondering how you've survived without one of their Montreal style wood fired bagels. Their bagels are superb and go well with one of their cream cheese spreads or as one of their stellar bagel breakfast sandwiches. I always stock up on bagels before heading home and it's always a sad day when we reach the last one! Other things to note - their coffee is great and so are their sticky buns and frosted cinnamon buns! Set your alarms to place your orders in the summer or you'll be sorry! read more

Ordered a breakfast sandwich with an extra egg and bacon. They charged me an extra $2.50 for an egg and if I remember correctly the bacon was an additional $2 charge...The total cost of the breakfast sandwich was $11. I was expecting something larger than your average breakfast sandwich but was disappointed when I unwrapped it and saw two paper-thin eggs with one slice of bacon. The bagel was okay. Next time I want to spend $11 on breakfast I will most certainly not be going to Rover bagel. read more

Love this place. Best of luck, looking for a new location. I love bagel but river bagel has taken it to a whole new level, brink oven(wood fire)! The shift meal(bacon, seasoned avocado, roasted onion and hot honey). This is one of my top 5 best breakfast meals I have ever had. read more

bagels are sooooo good, they are fluffy and crispy and delicious! You call ahead, convenient, and calk eary, they always sell out

Holy cow these are good bagels! They are very light and chewy, instead of being very dense like many bagels. They are very much like artisan bread instead of bagels. I got an everything bagel with chive cream cheese and it was amazing. They weren't toasted but I didn't care, it was just so good! After Thanksgiving they will have wood fired pizza as well, as I'll update my review to include that! So glad this place is in Biddeford! read more

Wood fired, full of flavor yet so tender! Yum!!! What a bagel! I had their #2; a salt bagel with greens, cucumber, lox and chili cream cheese. Delicious! Just the right amount of heat and the chili really went well with the salmon and cucumber. So nice, and at only $8 a relative steal. Now remember, these folks just opened so be patient as they work things out. read more

Very nice Bialys, I'm a bagel snob- sorry but NY Bagels are the bomb; I've been spoiled; I must say for southern Maine; Rover Bagels rank numero uno. Check them out , best bagels in Maine. read more

Amazing bagels! We got a half dozen as well as the salmon sandwich and everything was great. Anadama was my favorite flavor but they were all delicious. It's takeout only so ordering online ahead of time is best. Our order was ready when we arrived. Also, there's plenty of dedicated parking which is nice. Can't wait to come back for more. read more

food was okay but definitely not worth the wait! waited 30 min past estimated pick up time, then drinks were not ready and had to wait more. the people working were very nice and apologetic but not worth the wait. coffee was small and not really mixed super well, tasted good though read more

Rover bagels are delicious and their staff is friendly. The blueberry kolache is also bangin

Unbelievably good bacon egg and cheese. Everything bagel not only has great seasoning but everything is covered on the bagel. Highly recommend. read more

Bagels are good but you need to hire more employees and make more bagels -- 2 hour wait for a bagel and selling out of all flavors by 8:30am is ridiculous. read more

I love these bagels! I know some complain they are smallish, but I find the size perfect. I just finished a half dozen from last weekend and am going back to get more before the blizzard. BTW the Vietnamese coffee is amazing too! read more

Loveeee this place! I can't think of anything more appealing in the morning than fresh, wood stove, bagels. Alec and Kim have it down to such a sweet *or savory* science! We bought two sliced sea salt bagels. They don't toast them, and while the chewy texture of the bread is really amazing with some plain cream cheese, I really liked heating mine up at home and topping it with their absolutely mouth watering maple butter! If the breakfast didn't get you hooked, they serve pizzas on Friday and Saturday nights from 5pm-9pm *they're a small business, hours change sometimes, be sure to check in when you're interested in going*, with an awesome assortment of pie selections. I got the margherita pizza and my boyfriend got the pepperoni, both were equally out of this world! Great flavors, the cheese was salty and the pepperonis were crispy and delicious. All in all, go stop by and see their whole crew, they'll guide you through the menu and get you what you didn't even know you needed . :) read more

Great wood fired bagels. It was really a treat to stop here. Located a bit out of the way in the lower level of an old mill, but worth the stop. read more

The bagels are very unique, but they are delicious. There is a slight charred tasted along with some crunchyness on the outside, but they are soft and chewy on the inside. The flavors they have are unique as well...I prefer the cranadama which is a brown bread base with dried cranberries. The staff is very friendly and hardworking. I had an order get mixed up, and the next time I was in there, they took care of it when I brought it up. Excellent customer service You need to get there before 10-11am on a weekend to ensure you'll get a bagel, and you'll likely wait a bit. Weekdays are a great time to go, but unfortunately they are not open Monday & Tuesday...hopefully this changes as more people are in the area during the summer. read more

OK, so this place is SO close to getting a five star rating it's a shame. Everything about their bagels is fantastic except one thing, they're wood fired. I'll never understand why people take a good thing, like wood fired pizzas and smoked meats and take it too far. IMO, bagels don't need wood firing, the blackened spots on top do nothing to enhance the taste and in fact detracts from it. I suspect they'd be even more successful if they just baked their bagels the traditional way. Oh, and the cream cheese flavors NEED strawberry and blueberry. It IS Maine after all! read more

We really liked our bagels at Rover. They come with pretty much whatever you want and are delicious. This is also the hot new place in town with long lines if you don't get there early. That's not a complaint, people will figure out when to show up, the store will learn to make enough bagels, and everybody will be happy. I think they'll do well and I can't wait until they start making pizza. The only thing that could have been better would have been if when they cut the bagel in half, they actually cut it all the way through. No problem, I got a knife and finished the job. And a note for people from New York (nobody else read this): These aren't "real" bagels but don't let that stop you, they're delicious. You're not home and you know things here aren't like they are at home, right? Even better, they've managed to find decent lox in Biddeford, Maine! Who knew? Check them out and don't be surprised if you take some home to amaze your friends. read more

I have been waiting for this place to open up and I finally had a chance to go there this morning. Friendly staff and lots of tasty bagel options. I recommend getting there early as they seem to sell out. We got there at 8 and they had everything still available. We left around 9 and it was starting to get real busy. The bagels are $2 each and then the price goes up from there depending on what you add to it. My husband got an everything bagel with honey cream cheese. I got a BLT on plain. I recommend getting the BLT and order it as separate items and not as the BLT it's cheaper ( bagel - $2, bacon - $2, tomato $1, lettuce $1 = $6 but order it as a BLT and it's $7....) The bagels are different (more soft and chewy). We also got a sticky bun which was amazing!! We will definitely be back and I hope this place can make it. It's a great new addition to the area. read more

Update: Ok so we tried this place again for the second time, first time wasn't anything special (see review below) but I wanted to give it another try... we got two everything bagels this time one with just cream cheese and the other a classic with smoked salmon. We asked for them toasted this time knowing last time they weren't. And if they actually went through the toaster you couldn't tell. The bagel was warm but not toasted at all. I don't get it when I want a bagel I want it TOASTED. Even more so if I ask for it. This place kills me and the arrogance of it annoys me even more, suggesting verbally I can leave a tip while running my credit card if I want is pretty douchey and I find it very unappealing.. I won't be back, the hipsters can have their over priced un-toasted bagels. I'm all set! Went here this morning, it's been on my list of must try's for a while now. The classic on sesame bagel was great. My better half got an everything bagel with the chive cream cheese. We both agreed that the bagels were very good, nice and chewy, and soft. We both had the same complaint though...WHY don't you toast the bagel, I don't get that. All these high end bagel places give you a cold bagel with cold cream cheese. It baffles me, bagels are supposed to be toasted, when did not toasting become the norm. I would give this place 3.5 stars if I could, but I can't so 4 it is. Had the bagel been roasted it would have been a 5 star review. #toastmybagel I just don't get read more

Wood fired bagels made with love and a sprinkle of magic. Don't sleep on the chocolate banana bread either!

This place is outstanding. Friendly staff and ridiculously good bagels. We stopped twice on our bike vacation because it was that good.

Come here if you want to age rapidly. 4 bagel sandwiches took the same amount of time as it takes to drive from MA to ME. It's incredible actually. They must grow their own wheat, farm it, process it and then make the bagel to order - oh and you have to order online because apparently they don't know how to answer the phone. AND when you get to the window you have to preform a magic trick and a full Broadway play to get anyone's attention. Sad. read more

I regularly alternate between ordering the BLT and Shift bagels. I find them both delicious and satisfying on the multi-seed bagel. I love the tomato relish on the BLT and the hot honey on the Shift.
