I ordered a bacon egg and cheese with an iced chai latte and a shot of espresso in it. My bagel was raw, not toasted at all. My drink tasted like milk and had to ask for espresso to be put in. I brought my boyfriend there as well, he ordered a sandwich and drink. They forgot to put the sandwich in the bag. My spouse and I both ordered the Turkey sausage and cheese on sesame bagels and large iced coffees. The bagels were toasted perfectly, and there was just enough cheese to add flavor but not so much that it overwhelmed the other ingredients. The iced coffee was dark and strong, and gave me a great kick off to my morning. Every year my family and I stay out at Old Orchard Beach for a week. My week is not complete without getting Beach Bagels at least twice during the week. I love a classic breakfast sandwich with a side of home fries. I typically get a sausage egg and cheese on an onion bagel with home fries and a caramel latte. What more could you want. The bagels are delicious. The home fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They have a huge menu, both food and drinks. Things will sell out towards closing time as everything is so good. They have pastries, bagels, sandwiches, coffee, smoothies, milkshakes. All the classics. The interior is small but has some 2-4 person seating. They have a ton of outside seating. They have a handicap entrance to the building although it's a smaller area to get to the single stall bathroom. The service is always great and you can see everyone working hard. It's a great place to stop for a quick breakfast or lunch or take it to go. I'm more of a take it to go and eat on the beach kind of gal. You can pay cash or card. There is some parking for the establishment and then a bunch of street parking and also paid parking spots all around. The prices are affordable, service is quick, and food is delicious. I will definitely continue to come back here for breakfast while in OOB. read more

The place to buy bagels in Old Orchard Beach. It's a small store with a row of two top tables and outside seating in parking lot ;). The bagels are popular but not outstanding. My faves are cinnamon raisin and plain. Strawberry cream cheese is one of the best I've ever had. The coffee bar is also excellent - hidden in the front corner. Nothing fancy. We consider ourselves local (30 miles) and came here during the "off season". We wouldn't even consider contending with the crowds of summer, so I don't know if the food/service is different when there's a line out the door verses when there's ample parking, seating, and we are served right when we walk in the door. Although the order-taker behind the counter would clearly rather have been somewhere else, we were fine with that. This isn't fine dining and everyone's spent from the just-wrapped-up summer season. Our order appeared at our table within 7-10 minutes, so we were happy. My spouse LOVED her Reuben and was more than happy to pay extra for the delicious onion rings. She willingly shared one onion ring with me, but no more. She was still loving that sandwich later that night when she ate the leftover half she brought home with her. My order came out wrong, but not in a big way. I ordered the Belgium waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. The waffle came out with butter and syrup instead. There clearly was a misunderstanding between the order-taker and the kitchen and we could hear them attempting to work out the language of the ticket in the future. I just couldn't get upset about that and even though they immediately offered to correct the mistake, I happily ate my waffle with syrup. And it was a good waffle. The staff were friendly and polite and we interacted with them for a little bit. It was a nice conversation with a little laughter. Beach Bagels is a great little place for breakfast. The restaursnt is rather narrow causing a quirky system to order but it worked for us. You basically order at the register, they give you a number and then you wait for beverages down by the ice cream. The staff bring your food to your table. The inside is very tight for seating. Tables outside have more space but it's basically the parking lot. The Croissant with egg and cheese was simple and just what I needed. The breakfast bagel looked good. Cute bagel/sandwich place right on the main drag. It gets packed in the mornings and has limited seating so we always took our breakfast to go. The bagels are tasty and the breakfast sandwiches hit the spot for a quick morning bite, but aren't anything much different than a traditional Dunkin sandwich...it's also a little disheartening to watch them microwave everything and call it 'cooking'. The coffee gets a little stale, but they do try their best to keep at least one carafe fresh - make sure you watch and pick the right one :) That being said, we had no issues with the food or service overall and very much appreciated the small parking lot/parking meters along the shop which made getting in and out really easy. Walked in to pick up my order and it took a few minutes to get together (business was pretty steady). Staff was curt but again, they were pretty busy. I was surprised to hear that our total was $17 for these items. I paid and left with breakfast- we sat at the outdoor seating to eat. The coffee was good (they use Green Mountain coffee) but the BECs were sad. My partner got BEC on sundried tomato bagel and mine was on pumpernickel. My bagel was super hard, as if it was a day or two old. My partner's was the opposite- oddly soft (not toasted for sure).
