    " Spicy Pablano Omelette"
    Carol T.

First off, the place smelled amazing and was clean and bright with spacious seating. The menu is large with breakfast and lunch choices,it and it took us a few to decide. The waitress was as sweet and patient as she could be. My friend got the cinnamon stack pancakes, and I chose the pablano omelet. When our order came, the waitress had zipped off before my decrepit brain registered that my order was wrong. The manager was doing rounds at this time and asked if everything was ok. I told her my issue, and she handled it all graciously. Mistakes happen, no biggie. This was a new item on the menu. There is also a pablano poached egg breakfast. It may have been my fault when making the order. I say all this because I did not give 4 stars because of the mix-up, service, or restaurant itself, that was all 5 stars to the max. I was impressed. The ding was because if you order a pablano omlet " stuffed with fire roasted poblano peppers," " Poblano cream, and Serrano pepper's, you have a reasonable expectation of some heat. It was bland. Pablanos can be mild, so I wasn't expecting a huge amount of spice, but not bland. Anyone who does not like spice would never order a poblano omelet, so spice it up a bit, people!

It's IHOP not the Waldorf Astoria. Excellent service from a friendly staff. Make sure you choose the pancakes for your side.

Food was made pretty quick, though there was nobody queued up when I arrived. Burgers are slightly on the smaller side (imo), which is perhaps why the double is also prominently listed on their menu. Onion rings are hand-made and not factory produced. Their mayo-based special sauce is dangerously great. Give me a bowl and spoon, please. Friendly folks here; minimal 'bar' indoor seating and several picnic tables outside. It's on a busy road so there's fair traffic noise. Unfortunately it's too far for me to be here regularly but I am glad I know it exists... just in case... for next time.

Barbara answered and took my order, told me the price and asked how long til I arrived. I said I was already there and she said give them 5 or so minutes. Let me say that the 1st sip of the reeses milk shake was amazing. I remember why I don't get them anywhere else. The burger was nice and juicy and had my favorite toppings and the hand cut fries reminded me of the beach, nice and crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy inside it really was the perfect lunch. My only complaint was the straw kept getting plugged by the reeses chunks on the bottom of the cup. If you're hungry and looking to support local businesses try this place out. You won't be disappointed with the food or the amazing people who work there

I cannot even remember what I got but I remember thinking it was a waste of $. As for the ambiance-it's a fiber with a counter & stools (no tables), it was uncomfortable & freezing inside. Decided to give them a try for lunch, I have read so much about how amazing their fried chicken sandwich is, so I entered that online and see the sandwich is $22...to get fries with that it is another $8.50...ok, I think it's my birthday & my husband and I can split it all so that's only about $15 a piece. Go to put order in and there is an AUTOMATIC 22% gratuity added that cannot be changed or removed. Let me get this straight-ya'll are charging $30.50 for a chicken sandwich and fries (nothing special-no antibiotic free range chicken, probably saline packed chicken from China ‍) AND you think it's ok to tack on 22% tip for LUNCH TAKE OUT???? Sooooo that's $40.56 for a chicken sandwich and fries, tax + tip. ‍ Yeah, no. I would not eat here if they were the last restaurant on earth. I love supporting local, but how greedy can you be?

I'm honestly beyond disappointed with Palace Diner…read more This is the second time in a row I've gone there only to find out they were out of pancakes. At least this time they told me before I waited an hour--but it still meant wasting a ton of time figuring out parking and getting to the restaurant, only to be told they couldn't make one of their most basic menu items. It's especially frustrating because the food is genuinely good. The Lumberjack Breakfast is fantastic, and that's part of why I've made the effort to come back. But the last two visits, they simply couldn't be bothered to make something that's clearly listed on the menu. What really gets me is how simple pancakes are. We're not talking about a complicated, specialty dish with rare ingredients. Pancakes are one of the most basic breakfast staples. The only explanation I can come up with is that they don't want to risk wasting ingredients if they don't sell out. But what does it cost to make a couple of pancakes--maybe a dollar or two? Is it really worth disappointing customers who've taken time out of their day to come eat there? Great food doesn't matter much if you can't reliably order what's on the menu. After two strikes, I'm not sure I'll be giving them a third chance.

Service was prompt and friendly. Have to say that the tables need a good cleaning. I'm in the business and know the difference between clean and sanitized; a table can be dirty but be sanitized. It had that sticky, greasy film on it from always being just wiped with sanitizing solution but never being cleaned with soap and hot water. Great glass of sauvignon blanc, my brother had diet coke and water as he just finished s work out at the gym. I ordered a bowl of the clam chowder and we both ordered the beet salad, my brother adding the airline chix breast to his. The chowder was disappointing. It was tepid and the potatoes were still a bit hard. Both of our salads were great. Candy cane striped beets, blue cheese, good vinaigrette. My brother's chicken perfectly cooked. I wanted to talk to a manager about the soup and the table but see anyone on the floor who appeared to be supervising. My 1st visit I did leave a great review as everything was top notch.
