    Lobster mac & cheese

I mean, it is one of the cheapest lobster mac & cheese I've come across. They do use real lobster so that's a plus. Is this the quality of the sauce. It doesn't have that much flavor. I need a stronger punt of cheddar cheese or Parmesan. it is a very small diner, but it was full when I got in there so that must mean something they're doing is correct I wouldn't get this mac & cheese again but I would try something else on the menu and it does come with a bread roll so that's nice.

Cute little diner! Staff was super nice too. My breakfast was delish. Nice fluffy pancake. Home fries were boring (and a surprise upsell, sneaky!!). I should've have specified a hard cook on my egg in my sandwich but it was tasty anyhow. Turkey open face was good! Cole slaw excellent. Beans were good, maybe homemade?

My 1st time at the Third Alarm impressed me. I love the atmosphere (local firefighters theme), my breakfast was great, the server was prompt and friendly. Their menu selection is substantial being they offer breakfast, lunch and dinner! Oh yeah, you can also have a bloody mary or mimosa with your breakfast if you want. If you're there for lunch or dinner it can be a beer or wine. I will definitely stop by to check out a lunch & dinner. Only my 1st time but I can tell that this is a solid diner you can count on for a good affordable meal and friendly local hospitality.

Great food at a very reasonable price. Fries were soft inside and crispy on the outside. Burger was juicy and a good amount of meat. Tomato and lettuce was fresh and crispy. Bacon was well grilled

Third Alarm Diner is a gem in Sandford. The food is homemade and delicious and don't even get my husband started on the pies! Service is friendly and helpful. It's a regular stop for us!

Hot, fresh food and fast service. This trip, I had a mushroom Swiss burger and I will absolutely order it again! And, as always, onion rings are a must!

If you find yourself in Sanford, this is a place that is a good find. The menu contains all of the breakfast and lunch standards. Breakfast is available until 2:00 pm, which is when the restaurant closes, so everything on the menu is sold from opening to close. My wife had the waffles ($4.99) and bacon. The bacon was crispy, but the waffles had a softer than usual (for us) texture. I'm not sure if that's normal, or just the batter and cooking that Sweet Memories does. However, it was tasty and she enjoyed it. I ordered the cleverly named "Big Breakfast" (8.89) that included: Three eggs served with two pieces, bacon, two sausages, a half slice a ham with home fries and your choice of toast or an English Muffin. The quality of the food is good and the prices are an amazingly good value. I'm sure that this same meal back home in Minneapolis would be more $15 for the Big Breakfast and $12 for the waffles and bacon. The service was a bit sluggish, but all in all, fine. I would love for a second location to open in Minneapolis, Minnesota, complete with the Sanford, Maine prices.

This iconic little diner is set up inside a vintage trailer/box car style building right in the heart of downtown Biddeford. Seating is limited to about a dozen people at a time, so be prepared to wait -- but trust me, it's worth it. After my fiancée watched an episode of Somebody Feed Phil featuring the diner, we were on a mission to try their famous chicken sandwich. The sandwich absolutely lived up to the hype! It's huge, packed with flavor, and served with a fresh lettuce wedge salad on the side. The chicken had the perfect crispy exterior while staying juicy and delicious inside. We could only eat half and happily brought the rest home. Luckily, it was a beautiful Maine day and we didn't have to wait long for a seat. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and added to the fantastic overall vibe of the diner. One thing to know before you go -- the diner is cash only, but there's an ATM conveniently located right outside. If you love hidden gems, amazing comfort food, and unique local dining experiences, Palace Diner is definitely a must-visit spot in southern Maine. Highly recommended and absolutely worth the trip back!

Go to put order in and there is an AUTOMATIC 22% gratuity added that cannot be changed or removed. Let me get this straight-ya'll are charging $30.50 for a chicken sandwich and fries (nothing special-no antibiotic free range chicken, probably saline packed chicken from China ‍) AND you think it's ok to tack on 22% tip for LUNCH TAKE OUT???? Sooooo that's $40.56 for a chicken sandwich and fries, tax + tip. ‍ Yeah, no. I would not eat here if they were the last restaurant on earth. I love supporting local, but how greedy can you be?

You get the nostalgia of the place as soon as you walk in. After I ordered, I had buyers remorse as I had not gotten some of the more famous things this place had. I am now still upset as I type this. The Lobster Pie and some of the namesake lobster sandwiches would have probably been much better than what I had. I was a bit burnt out on seafood and it was breakfastish time. I screwed up and ordered something that I knew I didn't like but thought I might be wrong. Nope. I was right, that I was wrong.... I got the country breakfast, with CITY HAM! What a moron!! I hate city ham and have no idea why I ordered it. Hate it! Hate it! Hate it! Mad at myself for being a dumbass. It came with beans on toast and I ordered some kind of local sausages too. C had corned beef hash and eggs, and stole my beans and toast. I had some sausage gravy too to slap on them biscuits. Server was nice. It's hard to remember exactly because I lost my internal cool.... I did good keeping it contained, I don't think C even picked up on it as I am mastering my ability to have internal meltdowns with no external visibility. C did learn something here.... She likes baked beans on toast.... We are now looking for ways to get this elsewhere. We live in Memphis, so it's not that common. So we now ask for toast at BBQ places. Tehehe Sausage gravy was pretty good. Biscuits were fair. Hot Italian Sausages were very good, I liked them much better than city fucking ham. Beans are really nice with a good flavor and a nice kick. The side of potatoes were tasty. City ham sucks and should be banished from the planet earth immediately! I may make it back, if I do, I will get the Lobster Pie probably! Message me if you have and let me know your thoughts. We love you Maine!!! '26 - 20
