OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. This is all I have to say about the food here. Met an old friend for dinner last night. I've never heard of this place. So glad I went. We started with the truffle fries. Excellent! Then we both got the short rib Mac and cheese. Every bite was amazing start to finish. Our waiter was awesome. He was hilarious and very attentive. We visit Pine Point Grill about 3 times a year, it has become a local favorite. Excellent atmosphere. Tonight was the first visit of the season.. not sure what happened. Baked haddock was not good. Very dry, not sure why there was no sauce on it.. flavorless.. Chicken piccata also lacked flavor, no tang to it, no lemon, sat in a brown'ish colored sauce that I needed to add salt to enhance. Caesar salad was bland.. huge portion but 95% lettuce with a couple slices of Parmesan. Overall disappointing experience. Asked server if there was a new chef this season but she didn't know. Will be back based on great prior visits but for now will be cautiously optimistic. read more

Cute restaurant in Scarborough with fresh seafood dishes and great pizza. I got the shrimp and scallop scampi and it was very good. My friend got the catch of the day which was the halibut and that was also tasty. The service was great and friendly. It is a smaller restaurant with a small bar and some covered outside seating. Super accommodating when 1/2 of our party was an HOUR late due to traffic, and even offered me use their phone when my WiFi signal was not as strong. Enjoyed delicious drinks and wine list while we waited. Dinner was phenomenal and staff were professional and friendly. I should note that our retired guests who dine out often were a little surprised with the pricing, so check the menu ahead of time so you're prepared. Inflation is real. We were looking for oysters, and these were amazing, sooooo good. We also tried the seafood chowder, which is chock full of scallops, shrimp, and haddock and, in my view, is comfort food at its best. To round out dinner, my friend and I split the shrimp & pesto pizza. This is really good! The crust on this pizza is thin and crunchy, and exactly as I like it. For dessert, we ate the banana creme Brule. I am normally not a big fan of banana desserts, but the banana flavor was so light, it almost wasn't there and the crust had been torched to perfection; it was very good as well, a lovely way to top off dinner. read more

Stopped in for dinner to wait out traffic on our drive back to Northern Maine. When we walked in we were asked about reservations, while we didn't have any we were fit in at a high top around the bar. I guess you're supposed to have reservations so you might want to check that before showing up. We ordered the flat bread pizza, daily fish special of halibut, mini shrimp, lobster sauce, veggies and finger potatoes...and the linguine and meatballs. The meatballs were okay but I was left jealous of the daily special. They enjoyed the special and it did look tasty. The flat bread was good and very enjoyable. The craft bear menu was pretty good, there was a large wine selection and they had a list of house cocktails and martinis. Nothing grabbed my attention but there may be something for you. Our waitress Mikaela ( Sorry if I wrote your name wrong:( ) was super sweet and a burst of energy. We ordered Brussel sprouts and French onion soup to start. Hands down THE BEST BRUSSELS SPROUTS. I could eat it over and over again. My boyfriend really enjoyed the French onion soup as well since it wasn't as salty and tasted more clean. We also ordered Pasta bolognese and a Roasted garlic ricottta, onion & fennel sausage pizza. The pasta bolognese was very very good. Loved the fresh herbs and ricotta and got it almost every bite.. yum. The noodles were also cooked to perfection. The Pizza was yummy as well! Loved the hint of the walnut pesto. Everything we ordered was great-Brussel sprouts, lobster cakes, Caesar salad, shrimp/scallop linguine, and bolognese were all hits. We were greeted by a friendly waitstaff, Sarah with a basket of focaccia bread. My wife had a glass of wine while I selected a glass of Allagash beer served with a slice of orange. Two delicious dinners: an Heirloom Tomato & Burrata with a shrimp skewer; eggplant/chicken parmesan pizza. Ended the meal with a slice of lemon riccota cake. We will return! read more

If you are looking for a nicer restaurant to have dinner at near Old Orchard beach, this is one of the few options. I really enjoyed this spot, the waitress we had could not have been any nicer or more attentive. We had the Caesar salad as an appetizer and it was great! For dinner, I ordered the Gorgonzola fig pizza and it was just a little too sweet for my taste. I would say just a little too much fig. Other than that, my experience here was great.
