That's fine, but she clearly had to make two of them and was trying to pump out the very last amount of chocolate syrup and was adding more ice cream to try to make them both big enough with a limited amount of chocolate syrup she had. Took a sip and I don't know if it's the sediment from the bottom of the container because she was pumping so hard to get the scraps, or if it's pieces of plastic, but I am getting mouthfuls of some kind of nasty sediment. I didn't wanna leave a nasty review but I tried to call and you can't get through. Found the restaurant and it's in a house... converted to a restaurant. Walked in and the place was completely empty - not a good sign right around 5 pm. The lady running the place told us to grab a seat, grabbed our drink order and we looked at the menus. We opted for three burgers and a kiddie meal and a large basket of fries to share. The decor was interesting, lots of funny songs to read, the meal took a few minutes to arrive and without sounding cruel I was completely underwhelmed....the burgers were small....real small for $12-13 a piece not including fries or any sides. They tasted fine - I guess but would have taken two to fill me up. Bill for three was over $50 and I kicked myself for not just staying on the highway and hitting a gas station. The place itself was fine, clean, organized just completely overpriced. Live and learn - would not recommend or return.

We had reservations and would suggest same for anyone having dinner. Wait staff was great. Was knowledgeable about the menu. Could talk about the dishes giving information based on her actually tasting the dishes - which we appreciate. They were attentive but not annoying. Didn't get a pic of our appetizer - deep fried brie- two wedges served with apricot jelly, pistachio dust and dressed leaves. It was so delicious. Crispy outside with melty cheesy goodness inside. Paired with the jelly and leaves it was absolutely delicious. Perfect appetizer. Our drink were great. The amethyst daiquiri was definitely rum forward but the flavors of the butterfly pea flower syrup, lemongrass infused pisco and lemon juice created this wonderfully crisp drink. The lavender dream was equally refreshing. I'm not a huge fan of the taste of lavender but the combination of faber vanilla vodka, lavender simple, lemon juice, and ginger beer created a refreshing well balanced cocktail. Our mains were delicious. My NY strip was a medium rare. It was so delicious. The steak did have gristled ends on one entire side which wasn't appetizing but otherwise was a good cut. The shrimp were wonderful. Just a subtle pinch of red pepper to add heat but it did not overpower the sweetness of the shrimp. The cafe de paris butter was rich and flavorful. Combine with the arugula salad it was divine. The jalapeño mopping bread was a dense cornbread like addition but honestly it was out of place in the flavor profile of the rest of the meal - a rustic, crusty bread would have been better in my opinion. Bestie had the Seared Duck Breast with a black pudding croquette, charred bok choy, and blackberry chambord reduction. Was her first time having duck. She absolutely enjoyed it. The black pudding croquette was delicious and rich. She really enjoyed the dish and the flavor combinations. The strawberry pavlova was huge. The meringue was deliciously delicate and paired beautifully with the strawberries and fresh whipped cream. Bestie also had a caramel affogato. She said it was very deliciously. She actually dipped some of the meringue into it and said it was very tasty. Lol. They do have a bar area with seating . There is an outdoor seating area as well. We opted for inside knowing how busy N. George St. is around rush-hour with the street noise. But it was a lovely night out and there were many couples outside. The lighting in the restaurant was perfect wasn't too dim, but wasn't harsh and bright. Service was timed perfectly. Overall, it was a really nice experience. Price point was what I would expect for the quality. Great place for a date or a special occasion or just to treat yourself.

We all loved our meals. The place was packed and all the waiters were hustling around. A great experience, and I recommend! I have to add, that we were all looking forward to taking a York Peppermint Patty, which were in a basket by the front reception when we arrived. An hour and a half later it was completely empty. If you're going to offer it, you need to refill it- just a thought.

You see, back in 17th century England, private houses would open their homes to the public and sell food and beer. Hence, public house. Over time, they dropped the "lic house" and just called them pubs. Because you never dropped the "lic house" makes me think that you haven't evolved like you should have. And frankly, your food is proof. In fact, it even made me nostalgic. But not in the way you might think. You see, I loved making fun food concoctions when I was a kid. My sister and I would watch this corny show called "Zoom" on Maryland public television, where the kid hosts would make recipes sent in from all over the country. We'd make homemade peanut butter cups using Jif and semisweet chocolate chips. Or weird sandwich combinations like pickles and potato chips and cheese and jelly. The seafood egg rolls weren't the worst part of my meal, but they were definitely sophomoric--as if a kid chef-in-training was asked to whip something up from Chinese food leftovers. Seafood should never taste fishy, yet these did. One bite hit me like something that had been sitting a little too long above the waterline. Not to mention, they were laying on a greasy glob of some mayonnaise accompaniment disguised as a fancy garnish you'd see on MasterChef. One word: Ick. The ahi tacos. Oh boy. My mind fills with seawater the moment I think of them because they tasted as if they had been fished right out of the ocean and then placed on my plate. They were wet. Soaked. Drenched. The gelatinous seaweed clump on each taco wasn't culinary-forward, just unappetizing. I took one bite and wished I could spit it back out, but I reluctantly swallowed it. My esophagus is now aquaphobic thanks to you. The moment the coconut jasmine rice hit my mouth, my tastebuds took the red eye to the coconut tree haven of the Maldives. Normally, this wouldn't be a bad thing, but the rice and coconut had no cohesion. It tasted like my younger self dumping a handful of shredded coconut--the sweetened kind my mom kept in the pantry for the wool on her Easter-shaped lamb cake--into a cup of microwaveable rice. The only redeeming aspect of our meal was your kind, charismatic waiter. He was lovely in every way--attentive, sweet, and helpful. He would have been an incredible host on "Zoom." If only his personality made the food taste better. For your sake, I hope you learn to evolve your kitchen's offerings beyond the amateurish trio I experienced. If not, your restaurant's bones may end up fossilized alongside every other place that couldn't adapt.
