I've been getting pizza here for years... And it has never disappointed. It's close to where I live and on my way home from work. Everybody there is extremely polite and friendly, very warm and inviting place to hang out and have a beer while enjoying delicious pizza. They use wonderful ingredients and very fresh dough. The staff is super friendly. This is the second time we've had very under cooked pizza. The all meat was supposed to have extra time in the oven, it turned out fine, not crispy but fine. The Canadian bacon was very under cooked and soggy. read more

This was our first time here and both the service and food were great. The woman at the register was very kind and helpful and she brought our pizza to the car. We ordered an XL mushroom and sausage with extra mushrooms and the cheesy bread. Their classic crust is a little thinner than I expected but the taste was fantastic. The crust on the cheesy bread was crunchy along the outside and soft on the inside and the marinara dip tasted fresh and chunky not saucy. Everything was delicious! I preordered for pickup. I was 5 minutes after I scheduled pickup for. My pizza had been sitting for a while. And I should have inspected it before I left. Extremely urned and overdone. This sort of overdone with the burn marks does not happen sitting in a box under the heating lamp. I live outside of town, otherwise I would have taken the pizza back. HORRIBLE pizza for $35.00 Extremely disappointed. Unless it is addressed, we will not be returning ing soon. We will drive the extra time to Sumner to get our meal at Aversanos. WENT FROM A 4 star to a 2 star Route 66 WAS our favorite pizza place in town... we had gone here many many times over the 4 or so years we have lived in town and we always had a good experience and great value for the price..... Something has changed... and not for the better.. over the past couple of months, each time we attempted to visit, the place seemed to be slammed, and the kitchen seemed to not be able to get ahead of the tickets... each time our observation prompted us to find another restaurant.. Last night we tried Route 66 again.. things seemed to not be chaotic.. we placed our usual pie and salad order... and then the following happened Now to break down the experience... the tables that were not filled with patrons were not yet cleared.. we asked to have a table cleared.. they started.. then they got sidetracked and didn't finish the task.. and then they didn't come back to finish, but went into other tasks.. it required asking twice more to for them to finish clearing the table. Our Cesar Salad with chicken arrived, the large salad was now the side salad size.. I did ask if it was a mistake and it was confirmed this was a large.. I looked at the receipt and had a realization that we paid almost $15 for what is a side salad. We did have to ask for plates and silverware as well The pizza arrives... the large pizza seemed smaller than it used to be, and the pie didn't seem to be like what we were use to from our past visits To Route 66... your team needs to NOT multitask, do each job to completion rather than half complete.. get back to basics and get strong on those! read more

Staff and Pizza are great! They can get pretty busy but anytime we have eaten here we have always loved/enjoyed the pizza and the sides! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND here over your normal pizza chain (pizza.....papa.....dominos).... Definitely feels more personable and quality is great too! Did I mention they sell beer there too? They have an extremely good pizza at a fair price Far better than any and all chains. Hint if you grew up on chain restaurant pizza. You will find the meat pizzas greasy. That is the way good meat pizzas are. It's part of the flavor that makes New York pizza's so well loved. Lean pepperoni and sausage is not the good stuff. And low fat mozzarella is of low quality. Have liked this place a lot in the past (great pizza and grinders, cute dining area) but recently we ordered sandwiches for pick up and when my husband brought them home they were absolutely disgusting. Very little meat on them at all and the bread was squished completely flat and almost totally black from being burnt. It was a complete rip off. Saddest sandwiches ever. So called the store immediately and they said that since they were busy,somebody would call me back as soon as possible. Well, Nobody ever did. I then emailed the owner and explained the situation. I also included pictures of our sandwiches. It took TWO WEEKS for her to respond, and in that response she stated she has a "no tolerance" policy for her employees 'mistreating' customers. She also asked for the date and details of our visit. The funny thing is we had not had any issue with how we were treated, the staff was absolutely fine, very pleasant when we ordered and picked up etc. We had also provided all of the very specific information in our very first email to her. date, time, pictures of our food. But it was as if she had never read the actual email. It was bizarre. Anyway, after a few back-and-forth emails of the same 'I don't understand, please send more info', I just got frustrated trying to get her to understand that it was the food we had an issue with, nothing else. We try our best to support all of our businesses in downtown Orting but we will never ever eat here again...It's not exactly cheap and the food on this last visit was just awful. read more

The best pizza around, on a Friday night you find this place is as busy as can be with dine in carry out as well as delivery! It's pizza. I think the one thing I want to just give feed back on was after taking the pizza home we realized how incredibly greasy the pizza was. Grease is to be expected but this was literally drippings from the box and leaked on our kitchen counter it soaked the box. We decided to toss half a pizza we could not eat more. I've drove past this place for years and finally decided to try it out with friends for a birthday dinner last night. I was not disappointed went here with about 7 people and we all were pretty impressed. Loved the atmosphere and our waitress (I'm sorry I forgot your name) was extremely nice and friendly, o​ur service was excellent. They've switched back to their previous style oven which bakes, browns, and crisps their fresh made daily bread dough into a wonderful crispy on the bottom, chewy inside crust with an airy fluff to it. Stopped on the way home for a hike. This was the best place. They made fresh squeezed lemonade perfect for the summer. Truly enjoyed. My friend ordered the garden salad, normal small side pizza. She also ordered wings and absolutely loved them. Just by looking at then you new they were cooked right and delicious. I had an olive and green pepper Calzone. They accidentally brought me a mushroom and olive Calzone which they immediately replaced for a pepper and olive. It was so delicious. You can taste the freshness of the dough. It was cooked all the way through and was full of mozzarella. Absolutely delicious. Will go back for another. They were so polite and had great customer service. It all sorted fine I called the pizza place. They were very friendly. The bitch was nice. Nothing wrong. Then we only had to wait. About 20 minutes. You know nothing. Crazy. Not not a long wait time we get there. Customer service wonderful. We were in and out nothing wrong I get home and I was expecting to have my golden, moldy sodium filled carbs, but when I open the box, I was met with a cookie pie why I could not tell you the disappointment in my soul and frankly, I feel like it was an insult to me and my culture I don't know why they would make this mistake, but it happened. We should have just kept driving down the road to the other pizza place, but thought we'd support a small, local business. Ordered a "large" salad with chicken for $15. Overpriced and drenched in dressing and came out before the rest of fam got their food. Buffalo wings are low quality containing lots of skin and fat and little meat inside. Again, too much sauce. Pizza was delicious. The server or I guess just employee bc they provide no service from the moment we walked in was short with us and bothered that she had to actually work. You have to pay ahead of time and I tipped my usual 20%--over $10 in this case. When my husband asked for a water, she said yes, you can come in and get cup and fill it in the machine. She must've either remembered I tipped or saw the uneventful face I made and brought him a cup. Who knows if they've ever cleaned their beverage machine--the water was pink. If I could give no stars I would. Called to place an order and the young lady who answered laughed and hung up the phone. Called again and she said "hello" annoyed and then hung up the phone. Now I called back to speak to someone. Another older lady picked up while I hear someone laughing in the background who sounded like the first person. TL;DR the location is great, great staff, great-tasting food; they just need to be more consistent with their food items. EDIT: If you take a look at all of the dates of the bad reviews, you'll note that most of them are from Friday, Saturday, and Sundays... This is a small town, this is an even smaller business and it is basically the most popular place in town; it gets PACKED on the weekends. So yeah, service will be slower on the weekends and they can very easily get overwhelmed, but that's just because of how ham Orting residents go on that place, they all work hard; just take a look over the counter and you'll see it. And yeah, we have flys in Orting, we're in the middle of nowhere, located in between two rivers and there are wild animals galore, we have flies everywhere, not just in this one business. There's not much that can be done about them. The location is great, the staff is always helpful and friendly toward my family and me. My only complaint is about the consistency of the quality of the food. You can order the same breadsticks on five different nights and they'll be five varying sizes, even though they always cost the same. It's like whoever makes them is so used to making them that they don't measure their ingredients? I don't know. Sometimes, I can feed four people with the breadsticks and other times, I can feed two, MAYBE three, even though both breadsticks were the same size and I divided it equally amongst the dinner table. And then the actual pizza... you can order the same pizza twice and the first time you might be saying, "dang, I love all this bacon, I want this again", but then on that second order, you're saying, "dang, where is all the bacon I loved on this last time?" BUT, the taste is always great, so if you're just ordering for one or two people, you shouldn't be disappointed, no matter what. But if you're ordering for the whole family, you may want an extra pizza or order of breadsticks... Also, the wings are freaking delicious. Best place for wings in town. read more
