Anyhow, to my dismay the rear seatbelts would not work. The retractor was locked. I was only two miles from John Sisson and on a time crunch, I drove straight to the service entrance and asked for help. The first man came out (I didn't get his name) and without hesitation, tried to help. When he knew he couldn't fix them, he sent out another tech. Enter Sean. If I owned a Nissan, and I had car trouble, I would personally ask for Sean. He was polite and diligent. Not to mention, even though he was young, I think he had a bit of the old school 'everything can be fixed' approach. When he thought the belts were broken, he still didn't give up. His perseverance paid off and I know it had to hurt his hand squeezing it into the plastic cover. I was so grateful for Sean and for fixing both those seatbelts. And you want to know what also touched me positively. Not one tech told me to sign in, they were eager to help and to me, that spells top notch service all the way around. Thank you John Sisson Service department, I will tell people about you.

From the moment we arrived, we were fortunate to have Nels Bjornson as our salesman and boy, were we impressed! Nels was such a kind, intelligent, and personable young man. He was incredibly articulate and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. He took the time to understand our situation, genuinely listened to what we were looking for, and answered all of our questions with enthusiasm and patience. It was clear that Nels takes pride in what he does and truly cares about making sure his customers have a great experience. His knowledge, professionalism, and friendly personality really stood out to us, and we couldn't have asked for a better person to help us with our vehicle purchase. I highly recommend Washington Honda, and if you're looking for a vehicle, I would absolutely recommend requesting Nels Bjornson as your salesman. He went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of from start to finish. Great job, Nels! Thank you for making our car-buying experience such a positive one!

A sales associate told me he would be right with me, but then proceeded to help two other parties before me. I was not in a rush, but I felt ignored as a customer who was ready to purchase a vehicle that day. I could see other associates had no customers , but yet no one else could assist me After waiting for an hour, the associate told me he could not help me and had another representative, Kirk, assist with the test drive. Kirk seemed confused and bothered by the situation, so I had to explain my goals to him. I was only able to test drive one vehicle and was told I could just look at the other parked next to it, which did not help me make my decision. When I asked Kirk for the clear-cut price of the 2026 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD, he insisted on appraising my current vehicle. Although I explained that I was undecided on a trade-in and simply wanted the vehicle price, he became pushy and demanding and said rudely what difference does it make. My trade-in was appraised anyway, which I had specifically asked not to be done. Ultimately, I felt dismissed and talked down to. Kirk handed me a pricing sheet that was over $5,000 higher than other dealerships, and there was no further attempt to communicate with me or show me the other available inventory. I thanked him, shook his hand, and left. The following morning, I visited a different Honda dealership and purchased the exact vehicle I wanted, with additional features, for over $7,000 less.

Started last October 21,2025 when we bought a 2016 Ford Explorer with 72,445 miles from Washington…read moreFord.   This vehicle was extra because of Blue Advantage/Blue Certified tag inspection that the dealership did on it.   We then purchased a 4,000 dollar premium warranty on the vehicle since of course it was used and already 9 years old.   Fast forward to our first inspection, we told the vehicle to Washington Ford, that was due by 9-30-2026 with 81,598 miles on it.   It was picked up on 9-29-2026. So 11 months after the purchase and 9,153 miles later I receive a call from my service rep. Jacob Verbanec letting me know that in order for my vehicle to pass inspection it needed new exhaust pipes.   At first I thought ok this must have either been covered under the Blue Certification or at the very least the 4,000 dollar warranty I purchased but Jacob informed me that it was not covered by either because it was considered rust and corrosion.    Of course I was not happy and Jacob said let me see what I can do.   It was getting later in the day but he called and told me his Used Car Manager Patrick McIntyre had offered 500 dollars off so that would bring my total bill to a little less than 900 dollars.   Sounds like a good deal to most but remember I spent a ton on warranties for this vehicle.   At that time I agreed and told him to go ahead and fix it but could I talk to Patrick to see if I could possible get more of a monetary assistant.   Jacob told me the vehicle wouldn't be ready till the next day as the parts would be in early Wednesday the 30th so I said ok.   Patrick McIntyre and I talked and he explained that giving me 500 off was the best he could do.   I asked if there was anyone else I could talk to and he told me yes, the General Manager Jeff Schafrer.   Unfortunately this is where the story takes a nose dive.   My conversation with Jeff was nothing like with Jacob or Patrick.   Jeff was instantly defensive and arrogant, showed me absolutely no compassion for the fact that I never in a million years dreamed after all the warranties on this vehicle that in a short 11 months and 9,153 miles this vehicle would even need new exhausts.   I was sitting in traffic and thought whey should I take this from him so I became more like him in the way I spoke back.  He decided that I was nothing but ungrateful and started to threaten to remove the 500 dollars that Patrick had agreed to give me off and at which time I ok'd the repairs on my vehicle.   As he was making me feel belittled and worthless, I absolutely shot back at him and the fact that I had placed my trust and money in the dealership when I purchased the vehicle only for this to happen.   By the end of the conversation after countless times him telling me how ungrateful I was and threatening to remove the 500 dollars off, I answered that there was nothing I could do if he did that.   Later that day Jacob my service advisor contacted me only to tell me that my repair was now 500 dollars more, which again remember I never agreed to at that price.

Later on, I was rear ended and the local body shop sent my car to Budd Baer for a lift gate control module and backup camera replacement. My vehicle was there for 5 months waiting for the module on back order. I can understand this. What is interesting is the body shop couldn't get ahold of the service department or get a call back. When they finally picked up the phone, it turns out the part was at the shop and my vehicle was at the shop, but the part was NOT in my vehicle at the shop. They forgot the car was in their lot until I called them. Put the part in and went to pick up my car, but they didn't replace the backup camera and blamed the body shop. Regardless of what actually happened between the body shop and service department (because these groups seem to always blame each other), the vehicle was there for 6 months and was never put into reverse? They had to move the vehicle to pull it into the shop and determine it needed the lift gate module. My main request was for the camera to be fixed in the first place. The manager, Brandon, did well by me and got me into a loaner car while they took an additional week to put in the camera. I want to give a fair review, so this is based on pricing (when purchasing a vehicle), time, quality, communication, and experience.

Brian, the GM, set the tone right away, straightforward, no nonsense, and genuinely focused on helping. Joe, my salesman, was incredible to work with. He listened, didn't push, and actually helped me land on the right vehicle instead of the most expensive one. And Deshaun in Finance made the paperwork part painless (which almost feels illegal, finance is never supposed to be that smooth). No pressure. No games. No hours-long back-and-forth. Just honest people doing their jobs really well. If every dealership operated the way Washington Hyundai does, car buying wouldn't have the bad reputation it does. I'll definitely be back, and I'm sending friends their way, too.

I would not recommend this place to anyone or a Hyundai to anyone.

I can't believe the audacity of their service manager, Chad Layhue. I recently moved to the…read moreWashington area from out of state, and today was my 1st visit at Budd Baer. I booked an 80K service and transmission service online with appointment. Long story short, they charged me over twice as much for the transmission service - when I called and asked what the disconnect was, Chad had the balls (or lack of brain cells) to threaten to not release my vehicle if I didn't pay the updated price. He stated the online price is not correct (failed to advise me prior to taking my vehicle) and felt he had a position to keep my vehicle from me. WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP. So let me get this straight: you consciously know that the online price is wrong, and you fail to advise customers when taking in their vehicles, then threaten to not return the vehicle unless they fork up payment?? ARE YOU NUTS? At that point, I didn't even care about the price anymore, I went back for my truck as soon as it was done, and swiped my black credit card. YOU ARE NO ONE TO THREATEN ME WITH MY OWN PROPERTY. Now I know this is one dealer I don't have to take my business to, and will be ordering my wife's new Sierra at another location. Hope that extra $150 on the bill got you a killer commission, Chad. Your KPI's must be keeping that business alive.
