As of October 2023 "Go Getters Trucking Services, LLC" has been a forfeited corporate entity…read moreaccording to the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation. This means that "Go Getters" or the principal Mr. Robert Hager cannot enter into any contractual relationship, move furniture, accept money, or conduct any business whatsoever. In fact, no one is allowed to use the designated corporate name, so Mr. Hager's former website (https://gogettersmovers.com/) could be construed as fallacious. On the "Go Getters" contract and this defunct website it is claimed that this "company" is fully covered by insurance. As anyone knows an insurance claim is invoked in case of damaged or missing items. "Go Getters" has two policies. The first policy is a business insurance, but according to an agent it excludes any culpability for any damages or missing items while in their possession and the other policy covers a passenger vehicle -- not the moving truck that he uses. And so the agent for this insurance company also stated that there is no coverage for lost or damaged items. Moreover, the latter agent placed Hager and Go Getters Trucking Services, LLC on the uninsurable list for what we will euphemistically describe as a clerical error. That means that the Department of Transportation was informed and the Go Getters carrier license was revoked. So Hager and his crew cannot engage in interstate moving, and for that matter, in any business whatsoever without insurance. So that means insofar as the DOT is concerned he cannot move a matchbox from Virginia to DC, or even within Maryland because of his forfeited LLC. Not bad work for a family owned business that takes pride in servicing their customers with reliability. Mr. Hager's saga does not end here. Now he is advertising on Thumbtack. He is still using the Go Getters name forbidden by the State of Maryland. But to add to his shallow business tactics he has posted another DOT license number. Additional research confirms that it belongs to a business in Baltimore, but hey, maybe out of the goodness of their corporate heart he was given permission to use this defunct license? In an email exchange with Thumbtack, Jamie of the Trust and Safety Team refused to take action when he was apprised of these facts. It is quite striking that Thumbtack allows people to engage in unsavory activity on their platform. So what prompted me to post this review? He and his crew damaged a number of pieces of furniture including an antique desk and some of our items "disappeared." Mr. Hager refused to respond to phone calls, texts, emails, and letters even though I requested reasonable financial reimbursement. Furthermore, Mr. Hager insisted on cash payment the first day that he and his crackerjack crew arrived, so clients are forced into a corner after days of preparation even though their Yelp and Thumbtack pages claims that he accepts credit cards. Bear in mind this unspecified monetary transaction is a federal offense and so is their gross negligence by not giving a bill of lading. Because his uninsured van is pint-size moving logistics became a nightmare necessitating multiple trips. In retrospect, when you first meet Mr. Hager it could be said that his demeanor smacks of pious affability -- quite a contrast with reality and all his God blessing and other specious responses to customer reviews. And by the way, when he sent me that vacuous contract he underestimated the charges and I had to inform him that I should pay more. Given all this information and this final stab in the back, is that the way an honest person should be treated?

Johnnie and Reggie came over instantly, ensured our water was turned off, set up powerful wet vacuums and sucked out over 200 gallons of water. They were able to save the carpeting and items on the floor. Upon leaving day 1, they left 2 industrial fans and a dehumidifier on, knowing they would be returning the next morning on Thursday. I was asked to move the fans around in a few hours to help with drying. Return they did....at 7:30 a.m. ...a time convenient for both me and the men. They moved the fans and the dehumidifier as needed and checked out the drying progress. We would meet again on day 3 Friday at 7:30 a.m. if needed. However, progress was so good, it wasn't necessary and we met at 7:30 a.m. on Monday instead. Not only did they come to check on the progress, they cleaned everything up, did additional sanitizing and returned all items to their place. Pricing was as quoted on day 1 and that was the price kept and honored. I highly recommend them for carpet cleaning related services.

My kids and I…read morewere discriminated and harrassed constantly by the front office female employee / employees. she would actually park her car near the dumpsters and spy on my kids and myself as I was trying to get idems from my storage unit then my minor daughter was harrassed by employees when she was using the bathroom on their property within proper business hours the constant harassment and discrimination was so bad that my associate confronted the female office employee that was harassing, discriminating against me and my kids which according to the phone conversation it's clear my kids and I were discriminated against due to our hardships at the time which I made the mistake and disclosed while purchasing the storage unit while in distress it was then used against me and my kids I never lived or attempted to live in my storage unit I frequently came to my storage unit to gather items for my kids and myself within proper business hours plus we don't have a car and their exit gate system will not open if you're not in a vehicle so unfortunately (after office hours) still within proper business hours in order to get off the storage facility property my minor daughter had to slide though the small opening near the entrance gate to punch in my code information so we can exit the storage facility which we were confronted about as well (FYI change your exit gate system so people without a car and leave everybody doesn't have a car ) ) the harassment and discrimination became so bad that I was concerned about the well being of my kids and myself while this business property not knowing what the employees were capable of doing so when I would go to get items from my storage unit my associate would drive me and my kids there to make sure we were not harrassed or discriminated against then while I was still allowed authorization and access to my storage unit I got all my items and cleaned out my unit for the last time because I refused to allow my kids and myself to be constantly harrassed, discriminated by employees plus while removing all my items for the last time at this storage facility with my associate present with me and my kids I realized that it was a serious mice infestation (we had no food in unit) 200.00 worth of our items where destroyed past reviews regarding rodent infestation is TRUE I recommend people to look elsewhere to store their belongings plus after I sent them a letter notifying them that I'll no longer be using their storage facility by mail due to constant harassment and discrimination according to the my storage agreement they're now trying to scam me saying I owe money/lien I owe them nothing if anything they owe me money for my property that was destroyed by the rodent infestation at their storage facility plus the harassment and discrimination if they continue to harrass me I'll seek legal action against this business.
