One of the worst Honda dealers in Ohio. I own two Hondas (a CR‑V and an Odyssey) and usually go to John Hinderer Honda, but since I live close to Roush Honda, I tried their service several times. Each visit was disappointing. In December 2025, I scheduled an appointment to get a value for my 2016 CR‑V. Instead of helping, the representative kept trying to sell me a car. When I explained I only wanted an evaluation, he acted annoyed and sent me to another building. They offered me only $9,000, while another dealer offered $15,000 and they sold it for $19,000 a week later. In July 2026, I went for a simple oil change. Even with an appointment, it took them 1.5 hours. They didn't put a service sticker on my windshield, and they didn't report the maintenance to Carfax. I tried contacting the service manager, but the auto‑reply said he had been out of office since March 2026. I called and emailed again, got no response. Very poor communication and customer service. read more

The first time my car got scratched up during it's service stay there & they accused me of lying about it happening there until they looked at there cameras. So they fixed my car. Apologies had to be solicitated.. Now they are accusing me of not calling in & asking them to change my oil before the service engine/ change oil light comes on. I knew I was going out of town this summer & wanted it done prior to being on the road. That is why I wanted it done early. Not to mention cell phones keep records of all call history by day & contact. So, I do have proof of calling. Good customer service does not include telling your customer they're lying. Good customer service should be able to negotiate and/or maneuver without accusing a customer of a lie. I have had Hondas my entire driving experience. My first was a Honda Accord and the last five Hondas were the CRV. I was very excited to upgrade to the Honda Passport Trailsport. We scheduled a specific time for pickup and to sign the financial paperwork. Honda did not have anything ready for us. They didn't even realize we were coming in as our sales person was out sick. They should have covered his schedule with him being out not just plain forget their customers. I waited 3 and a half hours for them to clean my new car that should have been ready for us at our scheduled pickup time. They didn't even start cleaning it until almost 3 hours after we had been there. They had everyone else's cars all set for pickup but not mine. This rating is for the SERVICE DEPARTMENT and does not reflect on the new car sales department. It's very easy to schedule service online and to make an appointment to drop off your car. I usually leave mine and come back later to pick it up but they have a very nice, very comfortable waiting area. I did wait once in the past and found the waiting area to be very nice. The service advisor who checks you in stays in touch during the process with periodic text messages. And the car is always done when promised. Service also includes a free car wash. To date, I've been impressed that they have never tried to up sell me any extra services - they're good at doing what's required and not pushing the extras, Prices for the routine A1 and B1 services are a little high but generally reasonable. However, during my last visit, I asked them about diagnostics for my backup camera and was shocked when they quoted me $180 just for basic diagnostics. For that price, I can live without a backup camera. Overall - very pleased. read more

Sadly, you overfilled the oil in our CRV and caused a catastrophic check engine light to come on while I was heading out of town over a year ago. It took several days to get you to acknowledge that it was your fault and not charge us for the repair. I was never reimbursed for the towing fee. Now I get to recent visits. Check engine with an on again and off again oil light. You did a repair and days later the warning lights are back. I take it in again and you do another repair at an additional cost and time to wait on a part. No more than a day later the lights are back on. I call you because I have concerns that a third repair might not solve the issue. I didn't want to speak to the service department, I wanted a manager. That never happened. I took it to Germain, and they fixed the issue rather quickly. I will say that typically the visits are fine, but when you go sideways, you go big. Never again and don't worry about calling now. They came out to tow my used car and gave me a loaner until I found the time to drive to Columbus to buy a new car. They talked me through all the options on the phone, they made me and my wife feel like we were in the showroom. We purchased a car -- and 99% of the reason is that we want to trust our car dealer. I met 3-4 staff along the way and each one made us feel like we were special. Then, I arrived and it is the cleanest dealership I have seen -- comparable to Valley Honda outside Chicago (if you are local to Chicagoland, that is a great place as well). Great place many different great people, but even though they know and have proof that I made every payment on my very first car of finance that was 10 grand, they still did not even allow me to make payments on the next car all because they thought that I didn't have a set job. I have money income, but yet just because I didn't have a legit job. I did not get supposedly finance for the company. I don't recommend this company unless you got a Headstart of what they want which is a good chunk of change of two grand in hand and any kind of legitimate job of some short you can't even DoorDash or attempt service that has to be a real job. Sales people trying to steal sales from one another and then having you pick from which one you buy a car while both standing there looking at you. I picked the non-sleazy one who I wanted to buy the car from in the first place. Service likes to schedule you out in the future so when you have your service done you get told that you are a few miles over the limit for the free service promised when you bought the car even though it was well under mileage when the appointment was made. Want the promised car wash at the end of the service...sorry out of soap. Their service department is unreliable and poorly managed. I purchased a brand new car from them and 8 months later with less than 4k miles on the car the front axles needed to be replaced, which is a common issue for this vehicle according to the NHTSA. The car also is unable to charge above 25kwh on a DC fast charge. Roush completed the service and as soon as I left the dealership, the axles were failing again. They had also dismissed the charging issues of the car completely. I called them to explain that the axles were still making the same issue. They informed me there was nothing they could do because the designed part was defective. They claimed it was not a big issue. I told them that it was unacceptable to expect a person to drive a 5200lb vehicle on the road with a suspension that could prevent me from controlling the car. Cleary, they do not understand nor care about safety. After telling them I would have to involve a 3rd party, they said they would "fix" the axles again. I then scheduled the appointment and dropped off the car on Monday. They claimed it would be fixed by Tuesday evening. After calling numerous times and leaving voicemails along with sending texts, nobody would respond the entire day or evening. On Wednesday I called numerous times during the morning and left voicemail after voicemail along with texts. Roush has a horrible practice of refusing to answer the phone for service. I then finally called the sales desk and they transferred me to the service manager's voicemail. After a few hours he returned my call and explained they had not even started the work. In fact, the tech who was supposed to service the car would not be back until the following week. Yes, it was scheduled to be serviced on a day when the person was scheduled to be gone for a week later. They then offered me a rental which was filthy inside and smelled like cigarette smoke. When I finally did get the car back a week later, they explained "most" of the noise should be gone from the axles. Yes, "most" of the noise. Clearly having a CV joint clicking and popping as it turns is normal for a brand new car. Furthermore, to this day the charging issues have never been resolved. Due to their inability to fix the car, it will be going to another dealership along with my business. Having been a repeat customer, I will gladly take my business to another dealership. I have a 2018 Honda Fit. The paint started peeling a few months back. Honda extended a paint warranty cause this has become a known issue wide spread. I was told to bring it into their shop and they would photograph and document the paint issue. 2 mos later we talk to the body shop who advised the general mgr , who comes into the shop 2 x a month, had to approve the work. We made an appt for the work to b done only to hear later that the work had not been approved yet. They clearly dropped the ball on follow through and was giving me misinformation. Now I have to bring the car back in when this higher up manager will b there so he can officially approve it as warranty coverage. We then allegedly get to move forward in getting this extensive paint job done. Poor follow up on their part and poor customer service for sure. read more

Good luck getting an appointment for service. Forget about talking to anyone on the phone. If you have a recall it will take months to get in. When you finally get in, if there is something wrong...they may or may not listen to you about what it is. My odyssey rear tailgate was not functioning properly and closed on my head and knocked me to the ground. 6 staples later and bringing in the car it still Isn't working properly. Unlike other Odysseys in the past the rear hatch provides no safety. (This is our 4th). None of the motorized doors on the car work. Haven't been able to open the passenger rear door for three months because the service technician wouldn't listen to me. Swore he fixed it. Nope. If you have any battery problem forget them replacing it, even if it's under warranty. The battery has died 5 times now... Roush is no help. Waited on the line for 15 minutes to yak to someone...had to leave a message. They are severely understaffed. Every interaction has been an inconvenience and maybe they don't like to listen to women. I don't know. I certainly will not be returning for our next car from this dealer. Only got a call after they clearly read this review. Not after they listened to my message. Granted - we were still at the dealership for over 3 hours, but at least it didn't feel quite as long. To begin, our test drive was great. (Don't forget your license and insurance card!) We enjoyed it so much that we ended up buying the car. The three different men we worked with to purchase the car were all kind and very personable. They explained each step to us and ensured we understood what everything meant.
