He was the friendliest guy imaginable. AND he gave me a discount without my asking. I expected the whole "it costs this much but you have to pay a core charge, you'll get that back when you return the old one" but nope. It was a very simple transaction. A couple of weeks later I take the old one back, because what else would I do with it. I just wanted to drop it off. A different guy, every bit as friendly as the first, said "hold on, it's worth something to you" and handed me a fiver. Are you kidding? They tried to get me to buy a $60 used battery. I refused. They installed the lowest 51R battery. It will not survive the cold winters here in Ohio. I feel like they damaged my battery on purpose just to make a sale and I will have issues with this all winter. They took advantage of an older woman. They refused to give me any type of receipt or warranty information, said I didn't need it.

The got me scheduled quickly with no problem, and the oil change took exactly as long as they said it would and COST EXACTLY WHAT THEY QUOTED ME OVER THE PHONE. If you've ever gotten an oil change you know how amazing that phrase is, right there. Every time I've gone to a chain store for an oil change it's at least 25-30% higher than the quote or the price on the sign. They also upsell you everything they can and it's intimidating if you hate saying no and you know little about cars. Not here. I got an oil change and an inspection and no upselling whatsoever. I was also told that anytime I need them to check my levels (oil, tires, whatever), to just pop in and they'll do it for free. This was a service the last guys offered and I was worried about missing at a new shop. While I was there I started talking to them and we had a great conversation. I was treated like a PERSON and not just a wallet walking through the door. This was seriously one of the best customer experiences I've had since moving to Columbus. So glad we switched our business here.

Learning opportunity for Christina: Show some compassion when a customer says they need to use the restroom in an emergency. It would have resulted in a sale.
