I've been to tint shops that were "holes" but this was not. It gave a good impression of the e quality of service. Service was good and they got me in at my appointed time and done at a good time. My only gripe is that I wasn't aware of the price until afterwards. The job was flawless, nonetheless. First time I've ever had a tint job where I didn't have to go back. I also visited a local mechanic based on recommendations, and who did they recommend for anything electrical? Sound Investment. Flash forward a couple of weeks and I used them to install a security system. There were incredibly patient with me throughout the process and took all the time in the world to be helpful and explain any questions I had. Their work was excellent. Also, without haggling, they beat the price of one of the other shops I spoke to by a couple hundred bucks (and I still wouldn't have trusted the other shop to do the work). From start to finish, their professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail were exceptional. When Jay came outside to inspect my systems wiring, he immediately noticed that the other shop had failed to secure the wire to my battery properly--it actually came undone just from him slightly touching it! Jay quickly wrote up a service agreement, and got my vehicle into their garage for the installers to give everything a thorough inspection. They properly fastened the cable to my battery terminal, checked the ground connection, and cleaned up the messy cable management left by the other shop. Additionally, they inspected the rest of the wiring to ensure there were no other issues. Knowing everything is now secure and professionally installed gives me such peace of mind. That repair held up great. More recently, another fender bender and I was going through insurance and they recommended a different shop, but I didn't really agree or understand the other shop's guy, and I took it to Jim for a second opinion. Jim's estimate came in slightly lower but more importantly I felt like he was able to explain to me the different options clearly about either quitting the claim so it didn't get totaled or doing the salvage title or just getting the money and giving up the car. The car ended up getting totaled by insurance and we had Jim fix it to do a salvage retitle. Should have gone to Jim in the first place!

A Motorcraft water pump sells for $52.99 on Rock Auto. "While we are in there, may as well replace timing belt, tensioner and accessory drive belt." My Ford owners manual says to replace timing belt at 150K but ok, it is an ugly job. Gave me a matter of a fact quote for $2400+. I had a brand new Gates accessory belt which he refused to use. I have 2 kids at University and was just just trying to defray some cost. Now I know why, I was charged at least 3x the retail cost on all parts. $70 for Napa coolant and I kid you not $5 for a screw?I am a capitalist and a car guy but 3x cost on parts seems like price gouging. I was hoping to save a few dollars with an independent shop. Not at all, Ford dealer would have done it for that price and after the fact, Tuffy quoted me $1900 but just an estimate. I had Harris do the work and am appreciative that it was done the next day as my wife needs her car but will not be back, not impressed by the service nor the price. I did have a 10% off labor coupon so that helped. Just my experience and opinion.
