I stopped by Sound Investment and met Mike, who immediately took interest in my car and quickly demonstrated that he understood any challenges with installing a security system in my vehicle. Later in the day, I stopped by 2 other shops in the area (due diligence) and had awful first impressions. I also visited a local mechanic based on recommendations, and who did they recommend for anything electrical? Sound Investment. Flash forward a couple of weeks and I used them to install a security system. There were incredibly patient with me throughout the process and took all the time in the world to be helpful and explain any questions I had. Their work was excellent. Also, without haggling, they beat the price of one of the other shops I spoke to by a couple hundred bucks (and I still wouldn't have trusted the other shop to do the work). This week I'm updating this review to say we had to take red car back to RCE after a symptom returned and we feared its previous repair wasn't adequate. RCE (this time Randy) and his tech spent a good amount of time analyzing and assessing and had a couple of long discussions with me before and after to explain everything. They didn't charge us because the symptom was related to its earlier saga. We feel more confident than ever RCE will take care of us.

They pulled his truck in around 9:30 and called him shortly before 10 and told him the truck was ready and it's going to be $401! They did tell him while he was waiting at the shop that they were going to cut his old ones off and he said that was fine. Never told him while he was there they charge additional for that, which is fine. When we picked the truck up, claim they had to use 2 guys so it's $125 per hour per guy so total was $401. Kevin came out and did cut the cost down for him after I told the hateful lady to take them off. Beware of this place! They are shady and will charge additional to what they quote you! The owner reached out a few days later saying they did charge him $125 to put on his new running boards and they had to cut his old ones off which caused the added charge lol. Guess they charged $276 to cut old ones off. Who knows. The story changed with these people from the day of service to current. Very shady business!!!! I'd look elsewhere. This place is not worthy of a 1 star!
