From start to finish, their professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail were exceptional. When Jay came outside to inspect my systems wiring, he immediately noticed that the other shop had failed to secure the wire to my battery properly--it actually came undone just from him slightly touching it! Jay quickly wrote up a service agreement, and got my vehicle into their garage for the installers to give everything a thorough inspection. They properly fastened the cable to my battery terminal, checked the ground connection, and cleaned up the messy cable management left by the other shop. Additionally, they inspected the rest of the wiring to ensure there were no other issues. Knowing everything is now secure and professionally installed gives me such peace of mind. Columbus Car Audio went above and beyond and I can't recommend them enough. I am very gratefully to Jay and Columbus Car Audio installers for addressing these issue for me.

I ended up fixing the issue myself with touch-up paint for a fraction of their quote. Now I have an unnecessary CARFAX entry that could affect my vehicle's resale value. I find it inappropriate to report declined estimates to CARFAX, as it implies work was actually performed. As a side note, I was also concerned about their privacy practices. While waiting in the lobby, I witnessed an estimator having multiple speakerphone conversations with clients, broadcasting personal details to everyone in the reception area. The clients clearly had no idea their conversations were being shared with other customers. While I've had positive experiences with Rife's Westerville location in the past, I cannot recommend the Grandview location based on these practices.

Now I had premier audio install a Viper alarm/remote start prior to the setup of the appointment without any problems, they accepted the task and made my day good. About a week after I got the remote start installed my starter on my car went out. Being I was new to the alarm deal I thought it was a fault in the remote start system. At the time Premier Audio and myself went through all the steps to help me figure out what the cause was. I'm no mechanic but I was pretty sure what the cause was after getting off the phone with Premier Audio and entirely disabling the remote start. My car ended up getting towed and sure enough it was my starter, just like I suspected, not the remote start. For the price I paid I couldn't be happier! I would recommend Premier Audio to all my friends and anyone I hear mention they need a shop to go to.

Because of that, I'm ABSOLUTELY weary of mechanics because I've been done dirty of ones who don't have the same integrity as my dad. Lots of unnecessary up-selling and repairs unnecessary for a rebuilt salvage title vehicle and TONS of scare tactics to make more money (very common with single women trying to get car repairs) That being said: my experience at Auto Emporium was a breath of fresh air after a ton of bad experiences. I had a general idea what was wrong with my car (difficulty starting/misfiring/stalling). They took detailed notes in what I could provide about the problem and instead of wasting time digging around, they reached back out to me for additional rounds of questions TO REALLY pinpoint what the root problem was. Too many mechanics are too stubborn to reach back out for questions of the owners which can help diagnose problems sooner - it's a huge time waster!! So having their staff with a running list of questions had my car fixed SAME DAY. That timeframe was absolutely insane to me. I love that they also took the time out to itemize EVERYTHING that came up on the inspection and while that did have a price tag, I now have a to-do list of the next repairs coming up so I can save up for them. It's relieving having answers for things that could be problems later. Additionally, since like-items were itemized I could pick and choose the repairs that absolutely needed to be done for this visit. One of my concerns was the hours of operation, but they have a great little lockbox system for car/key dropoffs. So don't let that deter you from using their services! All my in person/text/phone interactions were all great! My car is starting and running beautifully again after them flushing out my transmission system same day (which is a huge relief because I was trying to organize rides for 3am work shifts) That being said, if my dad is still out of commission for the other identified issues, I would totally come back and have them do the repairs.
