They advised that it could take a few minutes. Ok that's fine. I call back 30 minutes later and was told they were too busy to look and to NOT come to their store to check. They had too many customers in the store to keep up. Well I show up anyway, no one was in the store. They did have the parts. I was provided a form to fill out, I filled it out but was told my hand writing was too bad and to fill out the form again. I did not. Then I was told how complicated the install was and that I would be better off letting them handle it. They advised that the parts could not be returned and no refund would be provided if I wanted to return the parts. They charged me nearly 2x the cost, but since I needed them I paid it. Terrible people and terrible service. I will NEVER go back even if they are the last store on earth.

This was my first time having window tint installed on any of my vehicles, so I was unsure which tint level or package to select. Upon entering the store, I was greeted by an employee named Stephanie, who provided information about the various tint options available, along with the pricing for each. I told Stephanie that I was unsure which percentage of tint I should choose and asked if she had a tint meter to measure the darkness of my rear glass, as I liked how dark the factory tint appeared. Stephanie retrieved a tint meter and followed me outside to my vehicle. She asked me to roll down my rear window and placed the meter on the driver-side rear glass. The meter displayed 38%, and she stated that 35% tint would match my back glass almost perfectly. Stephanie then showed me several vehicles parked near my Equinox that had different tint levels, to give me a comparison. She proceeded to upsell me on their full-vehicle tint packages, recommending a 20% all-around package. She explained that if I chose that option, the front windows would receive 20% tint and the rear factory tint would have an additional 20% film applied, making the rear glass appear approximately 7%. The pricing she quoted was $119 for only the two front windows, and $329 for the full all-around package (excluding the windshield). After spending around 30 minutes considering the options, I ultimately decided to save money and only have the two front windows tinted at the level she said would match my rear glass. Stephanie again stated the tint would be 35% and confirmed that it would match the darkness of my factory rear glass. I agreed to proceed. At approximately 1:20 PM, my vehicle was completed and brought to the front of the building. Stephanie walked outside with me to inspect the work, and she pointed out a scratch on the driver-side front window. She claimed that the scratch had not been visible prior to the tint installation and must have been caused by a seat belt hitting the glass. She stated that scratches may not be visible on clear glass, but become noticeable once tint is applied. She advised me to contact my dealership or my insurance company to address the scratch. I chose to brush it off at that time and told her I would speak with my dealership. I then went inside, paid for the service, and left. When I returned home, I inspected the tint and immediately noticed that the front windows were significantly lighter than my rear glass and did not match as promised. I contacted another tint shop, provided them with pictures and video, and they immediately stated that the tint installed on my front windows was clearly not the correct percentage. From the outside looking in, you can easily see through the front windows, while the rear glass is much darker and far more difficult to see through. I took additional photos in both sunlight and a parking garage to rule out lighting effects, and the difference was even more obvious. I then contacted Tint World again, and Stephanie answered the phone. I explained the issue and told her I was not satisfied because the tint did not match the rear glass, even though she had assured me it would. She responded by saying that I agreed to 35% tint. I told her I agreed because she specifically stated it would match the back glass, which it clearly does not. She then told me I needed to allow the tint up to seven days to dry and that it would get darker during that time. The other tint shop informed me that this claim was false, and even if the tint darkened slightly, it would never match my factory tint. I told Stephanie I would send her pictures showing the difference. I sent both a photo and a video demonstrating how much lighter the front windows were. Stephanie later returned my call stating she received a "very rude message" from another tint shop and claimed that was not how Tint World does business. I told her I had no knowledge of any other shop contacting her. I again asked if she would be willing to correct the issue. She refused. I informed Stephanie that I would be contacting Tint World corporate and leaving negative reviews if the issue could not be resolved. At this point, Stephanie became irate, verbally aggressive, and used profanity. She said, "Bring that shit back, and we will rip that shit off, and you will not be welcome back here again. Just don't post a negative review." I told her I still intended to leave an honest negative review, especially after being spoken to that way. Stephanie immediately hung up the phone.

Auto Additions consistently responded; which made them very easy to work with. The building is in an industrial area but very clean inside and out. I've been to tint shops that were "holes" but this was not. It gave a good impression of the e quality of service. Service was good and they got me in at my appointed time and done at a good time. My only gripe is that I wasn't aware of the price until afterwards. The job was flawless, nonetheless. First time I've ever had a tint job where I didn't have to go back. I will absolutely be using their services on my next vehicle.

Showed up, they walked me through what I wanted and how much it would cost, I left, there were done in 2-3 hours, I paid, that was it. Great experience. This last time was not. I dropped off my 2026 Acura Integra Type S (which had less than 800 miles on it) off, informed the guy I wasn't interested in paying so much like last time, ($640 for the step above basic tint) and was wondering if they could work with me on the price, they couldn't, oh well. And like the other times I drop my car off, they're done within 2-3 hours and I come to pick it up. The first thing I notice is the car was filthy, I dropped it off spotless, salt shot up the sides of the car like it was doing highway speeds. I go into pay, get my keys, come out to the car and start it up, Every light on the dash that could be on, was on. Not to mention my alcantara seats were dirty. So I drive off and immediately call them, they explain "this happens all the time just drive it." I drive it at all speeds for 30 mins and the lights still are on. I call them back again and explain, and tell them "this only happens when the battery is deep cycled". Long story short they let my cars battery die, and said they could reset the light, they had some guy from the shop drive my car (it's a 6 speed manual) trying to reset the light which didn't work. They explained it was completely normal for this to happen because they need the car on they just forgot to hook up a battery charger, so I had to take it to the dealer to have the battery "charged and reconditioned and have basic settings parameters set". The owner or whatever he was maintained complete deniability throughout this whole thing and stuck to the "this is completely normal it happens all the time" script.

When he got there, they looked at him and his car and had no interest. They said "Well, you're not 18 so we can't talk to you." Why didn't they ask him this when he made the appointment? Very dissatisfied with their service. My driver side window was smashed during a break in, they…read moreoffered me the best price for repair, so I brought it in. They did the repair and sent me on my way. One day later the newly repaired window fell down into the door and wouldn't come back up. As it was winter time, I brought my car back in, they took the door panel off, and told me that the regulator for the window had been bent and would need to be replaced. Mind you the only way to reach this piece of equipment was to take the panel off with tools, which they had just done a day before. When I asked how this could have happened, they told me "You'd know better than I would." Of course they had bent the regulator themselves during the course of their repair a day earlier. They insisted on charging me full price for a new regulator and wouldn't refund any of the original window replacement price. This effectively doubled my price of repair, rendering my choice of the cheapest shop available pointless. If this was the end of the story, I'd be likely to move on and chalk it up to a hard luck loss. Unfortunately they did a shoddy job on the second repair and the window fell back down into the car door once again later that week. I called them back, they seemed shocked, and told me to bring my car back in for a third time. I refused to pay for any further charges and they agreed. In fairness their third repair worked fine with no issues to this day. However, having wasted five hours total dealing with them, sitting in their shop, incurring an additional expense due seemingly to their negligence, and sub-par workmanship, will keep me from coming back here and caused me to write this review. Save yourself considerable hassle and added expense and take your car somewhere else for a window replacement.
