Armando and his daughter Amaya are a family duo, and I love supporting small businesses with a personal touch. 3. Armando took the time to answer all my questions, and I had a lot. 4. Johnson window films are a reputable brand, and I was impressed by their brand quality after doing my research. 5. He doesn't remove door panels, which was a huge plus for me. I opted for the Johnson IR supreme window tint film, 45% around except for the front window, which was 70%. I wanted a super ceramic tint that would provide excellent heat retention without being too dark. And let me tell you, the front windshield tint was a game-changer - it's an absolute must-have for resisting heat. I will say that after driving all the way out to Marysville, my front window was a lot bigger than Armando anticipated. So he had to order a bigger roll, and I appreciated his honesty and willingness to make it right. He even came out to my house to finish the job - talk about dedication. After a couple of days, I rolled my windows down, and the cut lines looked like they were laser-cut by a machine. At first, the windows seemed a little darker than I expected, but after a couple of days, they lightened up beautifully. Armando had mentioned that the tint might be a little hazy at first, but it looked so clean and clear from day one. I'm blown away by his professionalism, attention to detail, and the pride he takes in his craft. If you're looking for someone to tint your windows, look no further than Armando and Amaya. Before deciding to go to Performance Auto Spa, I did gather quotes and reviews from other area places that specialized in tinting and decided I would go with Performance. I have no regrets. I first emailed with Tim who was extremely quick to respond and then finally scheduled my appointment which took a little over a week to wait for. I was told it would take roughly 3 hours to do my car given that it's a little more complicated then most. I decided I would wait and just do work. The showroom is fairly large and very quiet. Not sure if it was because it was middle of the afternoon during the week or what, but only a few people stopped by to get quotes and I was able to work in peace. The car was actually done in under 2 hours and I was out the door. The tint job was immaculate and came with a lifetime warranty. Overall, if you have any car care related questions involving tint, paint protection, detailing, etc, don't hesitate to call them! My one and only negative is that it is kind of in the middle of nowhere, but I did hear them tell one potential customer that they would be willing to come get their car or drop it off for them which I would have taken advantage of if I knew about it in advance.

Showed up, they walked me through what I wanted and how much it would cost, I left, there were done in 2-3 hours, I paid, that was it. Great experience. This last time was not. I dropped off my 2026 Acura Integra Type S (which had less than 800 miles on it) off, informed the guy I wasn't interested in paying so much like last time, ($640 for the step above basic tint) and was wondering if they could work with me on the price, they couldn't, oh well. And like the other times I drop my car off, they're done within 2-3 hours and I come to pick it up. The first thing I notice is the car was filthy, I dropped it off spotless, salt shot up the sides of the car like it was doing highway speeds. I go into pay, get my keys, come out to the car and start it up, Every light on the dash that could be on, was on. Not to mention my alcantara seats were dirty. So I drive off and immediately call them, they explain "this happens all the time just drive it." I drive it at all speeds for 30 mins and the lights still are on. I call them back again and explain, and tell them "this only happens when the battery is deep cycled". Long story short they let my cars battery die, and said they could reset the light, they had some guy from the shop drive my car (it's a 6 speed manual) trying to reset the light which didn't work. They explained it was completely normal for this to happen because they need the car on they just forgot to hook up a battery charger, so I had to take it to the dealer to have the battery "charged and reconditioned and have basic settings parameters set". The owner or whatever he was maintained complete deniability throughout this whole thing and stuck to the "this is completely normal it happens all the time" script.

When he got there, they looked at him and his car and had no interest. They said "Well, you're not 18 so we can't talk to you." Why didn't they ask him this when he made the appointment? They are hustlers, that's why. My son is old enough to work, pay taxes and have a stereo installed at Best Buy. Tint Works is terrible.

My appointment ended up getting pushed back multiple times, which caused me to rearrange some of my own plans and wait longer than expected for the job to be completed. I had already paid more than half up front and still had to wait several days for the rest of the work to be finished. as a professional you have to make sure you have extra tools in case one goes out , check the weather fluently , & family emergencys should be handled properly I do understand that the price I received was already part of an early summer discount, but because of the multiple delays and the time I lost waiting and rescheduling my own plans, it would have been nice to see a little extra consideration or discount for the inconvenience. Telling me we would talk about the discount when he got to my house & when i asked him how much he basically charged me fully which i thought was kinda ridiculous he definitely had no consideration for that That said, he did finish the job and the tint itself looks really good. They installed the wrong film twice during the warranty process and tried to say the tint was "old," when it was actually the wrong product. Most recently, the tint was redone again this weekend, and within just a few days the driver-side window is already peeling (see photos). They kept my car all day and had me pick it up after hours when it was dark, making it difficult to properly inspect the work. What was most concerning was a racial comment made to me when I was leaving. The owner said that "Black guys have pulled a gun on him before" and implied he thought I might do the same. That was completely inappropriate and unacceptable. I recommend reading the Yelp and negative Google reviews before trusting this business with your vehicle.
