Good food and prices are not to bad. Buffet is hell of a deal pizza +salad for 8 and drink for 10 cant find a better deal elsewhere.

My wife and I ate at the Round table today! Saturday May 17, 2014 for the all you can eat salad bar and pizza. The Pizza was very good! The staff was very efficient and the beer was very cold! While were eating a large group of people came in to eat. next thing I know there was an argument. From what the wife and I heard these people wanted their children to eat for free. The manager kindly told them that children could not eat for free! A man began yelling at the manager and said the customer is always right. You must treat me with respect. Then I hear one of the employee ask another man where he was a police officer? Somebody said that he works for the City of Monterey. Eventually these people left. But not after creating a scene. Several times we heard the manager say -- I will refund you your money, please leave! A member of the party returned while we were still eating and said he was embarrassed about the way his friends were behaving! We have always been treated as valued customers. We are from out of town and love round table for their pizzas and customer service. We order the same thing every time, 3 large pizzas, garlic twists and boneless buffalo wings. It's normally 80-90$. Pricy but worth it for my large family. We ordered our usual from the Monterey round table on Fremont and it was delivered on time, 40 minutes. We started serving our family and noticed that we received bone in wings and not boneless. The driver had just left so I called to see if they could bring out what we ordered since our family won't eat the bone in wings. When I called the associate told me she had to ask the manager. THE MANAGER SUCKS!! The associate told me that the manager said I had to pay for another order and they would bring it out. My response was "why would I pay for same thing again after they didn't get it right the first time" The associate could care less. This place has horrible customer service and after reading the reviews I realize it's a poorly managed place that should be avoided. I love Round table pizza but at other locations. First time coming here today and as soon as we walked in we saw no workers at all. Stood there calling for help for 10 minutes before we noticed a worker sitting in a corner table on the phone finally get up and take our order. He took our order while his eyes were still glued to his phone. Then a woman came from behind the counter and looked at him and laughed. She made our pizza. This place is awful! I ordered a pizza online for delivery and after an hour I got the confirmation email which had an address I didn't even know of. When I called the women who answered said they had no order for me at all. I explained what happened and her coworker in the back told her to tell me they couldn't change the address from their end. That was besides the point. The issue was I had the confirmation email as well as my card being charged and she didn't have my order. So I called my bank and cancelled the payment. An hour after that I get a call from their manager, Marco, he was rude and told me my pizza has been waiting and that I didn't pick delivery or pickup. I'm sorry but first shouldn't you have called when you received the order? As well as why did your staff tell me they didn't even have any record of my order at all. He just kept getting more rude and argumentative so I told him so unimpressive language and hung up as he was yelling it back at me. This isn't the first time I've had issues with their online ordering but what could have just been a little mix up led to a larger issue because of the untrained staff as well as their corporate website. I'm done with this place. I've ordered delivery service four or five times over the past couple of years, and the story is always the same: a promise of delivery in 60 minutes -- 60!! -- and then they can't even manage to meet that pathetic delivery time. The other night it was 75 minutes AND they got the order wrong (wrong style of crust). The delivery guy was very nice and apologetic, but that doesn't make up for the atrociously slow delivery time and poor customer service from the kitchen. Time to move on. read more

We spent almost a hundred dollars for a buffet meal with a group of 8 adult and 7 children after church and the manager accused us for not paying for all and yelled at us to leave. Round table pizza Seaside Ca... Managment at this location is so below par it is not even funny. Although "Round Table Pizza" is a very good chain and has awesome pizza's, this location is the WORST! There is no communication between the person taking your order and the person delivering your order. I have had many wrong order deliveries and even one time the location manager even told me it wasn't his fault for the mistakes. I think my residence has given their drivers more advice on how to give better customer service than the actual location management has. I have written letters about the management that they have representing this location and not one response. Please Please Pleas, Do Not give this store location the satisfactory of getting your money for sub par customer service.. On Mother's Day 2012, my family took me to the Round Table in Seaside. The manager was so unprofessional and had no personality. When I walked up to the counter to order, he said is this take out or delivery. He didn't greet me nor my family. We spent over $50 on pizza as we have 5 children, some of them wanted ranch dressing and he got real snotty and said you take that and you pay for that. He is in the wrong type of work. From my 5 delivery experiences, this location has consistently delivered both delicious pizza and good service. So why the missing stars? Unfortunately, there have been issues with missing toppings on 4 of these 5 occasions. In one order, I was missing 3 toppings. Another time, each half of our pizza was missing one topping each. NO customer service!! i went to dine in with some friends and our children, order included drinks, pizza and ALL YOU CAN EAT salad bar. while we were waiting for our pizza i received my little black plate to eat my salad on. so i go and get my salad made. sat down and start eating . while my daughter started to pick some things off. IE croutons, ranch dressing, pieces of salad, even a sliver of carrot.. NO BIG DEAL..i paid for a all you can eat.. :) so when i was done, my friend asked if i wanted her to make me another plate, i said sure..(since i was busy with my daughter) told my friend, put some stuff on there for both of us...so while she was up there...this female employee approached her in a rude manner, you know that you cant do that, use the same plate. and my friend mentioned to her. well its for her..and she said well then she needs to come and make her own plate. LIKE REALLY!!!! this lady was so rude..so any ways i get my plate and told my friend you are more than welcome to have anything on this plate that I PAID FOR!!!...when upon leaving Round Table I had asked to speak with the manager/ supervisor and this gentlemen came out and said oh! is this about the salad, and i said yes..and he said sorry at first, but that quickly changed when I said,.,hey that was rude and unprofessional and you need to change your sign for your ALL YOU CAN EAT salad bar and say one person per plate..because no where does it say that...and this gentlemen continue with a rude attitude well that's why it says ALL YOU CAN EAT...NOT ALL CAN EVERYONE EAT...pretty much (Stereotyping) us.. They are theones who will challenge you to fisticuffs or other forms of mayhem with the slightest provocation. Please have listen to the following narrative: I visited RTs buffet whilst in a rush. The place was quite busy as it was the lunch rush. I secured a bar tyle table whi h had just been evacuated by a previous customer whohad left their plates etc on table. The manager Marco Chavalitas (? Sorry marco my espagnol is a bit rusty these days) Was on duty and was visibly irate, indignant, rude,offensive, pushy) Who i will call Marco El Macho Protectador del Pizzas- was barking orders at a an African American bus boy who busting his ass. He was especially concerned of my unbussed table. In support of the black kid i instructed ElMachoPizza that the plates dont bother me and that i would use them to deposit my uneaten thick doughy underbread ( the toppings here are paper thin- ALL UNCOOKED DOUGHY BREAD which they pass off as "crust" ELChavalitA Macha Pizza immediately accused me of wasting food and advised that if I don't eat it all I should not come in again. Now, I instructed ElChingaon that it was all dough and I can choose to eat or remove what I deem inedible and that eating the paper thin toppings of 3-4 pieces of tiny buffet pizza would not be enough to kick me through th 8.00$ goal post LaChingaon asked me to leave which I did with great aplomb after I took the owners phone number. This where the fun starts- The individual indicated ..."they call me the owner..." And his name was Allen. Now Allen came across as a very angry bitter man who had bee caught up in a failed career in Big Time Wrestling. Allen indicated he would hang me from a tree, and then took the typical coward's way out by hanging up. Which leads me to my opening statement: Any business man of means or who possesses ASSETS would never conduct himself in this manner.so Allen is most likely a failed pizza man with nothing to lose- what we call "judgment proof" Ie ain't gonna get money put of him cuz he ain't got none. "The Last Honest Pizza"? What a krok! Fist key word: PIZZA Let's define it: Pizza is often described as NY style, Chicago style, thin crust, etc. Pizza should have a high glutenous flour crust to promote crispiness and a good topping mixture that extends to about 1 inch of the rim , with a very light tomato based sauce. Now, RT on Fremont calls this "pizza:" round disk of dough crudely formed into a circle with sauce up to the edges and a 1-2mm of topping (ie mozarella) which I can scrape off with the last two prongs of a plastic salad fork-the cheese topping began at 3 yes thats three inches away from the rim.the rest was A RAW DOUGHY MASS OF FLOUR_WATER WHICH TR CALLS "CRUST"- the oldest pizza trick in the book-- bamboozle customers with chewy dough which has the constiency of cheese- with every mouthful the dough sloshes around with the minimal cheese and you think you are eating "pizza" when in fact you are eating raw uncooked bread dough. SECOND KEY WORD: Honest If the the "pizza" doesn't drop kik you through the Dishonest threshold, consider the state of affairs with its ownership/management: Expect to be berated, belittled, yelled at, and generally be treated as a common criminal for wasting "food" if you refuse to scarf down all the dough before you venture back to the "pizza bar" especially adept at this is an uncouth, foul-mouthed,border jumper named Marco Chavala-a manager. I have witnessed this several times with any and all persons, but moreso people who might be perceived as weak and vulnerable like the elderly, and even autistic children. Marco patrols the tables and comments on your waste level- and warns that if you keep wasting the slop they call "food" (i wont label this garbage as pizza) you will not be allowed back again. If you stick up for yourself he will ask you to leave --if you ask for a corporate or owner's number Marco will proudly and indignantly point to a telephone number on the wall connecting to Allen, the district manager- (I cannot fathom that he is the owner of anything.) Now Allen comes across combative and defensive from the onset. Allen really does believe that what he is serving is not only pizza, but actual junk food. so serious is Allen that he will even challenge you to come out and meet him at his "office" on Bryant(?) street in Salinas-. In my case he threatened me with battery and other violent mayhem like " ..I'll hang your balls from a tree..." Why my balls and not my whole body I dont know- maybe because he can only do things half ass ... like the way he makes pizza. Why he went from pizzaboy to a Champion I cant understand. Anyway-- does RT even care that there company logo is being maligned by employing such wretched, disgusting, and uneducated low lifes. Considering the pervasive level of filth,grime in the restaurant- the flies circling the salad bar-the taste of fermented beans, corn, etc. from mixing them with leftovers from the walkin refrigerator, and the stench of rotten cheese which presumably is left on the kitchen nooks and crannies- perhaps they should focus on getting the hygeine issue corrected before knocking customers' teeth out, putting plastic veins in for our broken jaws, or severing our genitals and hanging them from trees , balconies, or Round Table signs.. This is truly shameful for this once proud company which managed to corner a good market share over the years. Which leads me to the third key word: "LAST" as in the LAST time I will frequent this franchise or maybe Rt in general. The pizza wasn't bad, but the customer service was horrible. We got our pizza to go, after ordering we sat right across from the order station. After 25 minutes, I finally asked if it was ready. I was poisoned by Round Table Pizza in Seaside, I had a vegetarian pizza Guenivere's delight with the white sauce (sp) and some garlic bread and after one slice of pizza and a small bite of garlic bread, I began sweating and my stomach was cramping followed up by a killer headache and hurling the pizza like a volcanic eruption. After I threw it up, I was fine and hungry again which speaks directly to the poisonous pizza. I had already eaten once earlier that day and that food digested fine as well did the meal I needed after my pizza snafu. When I called Round Table in Seaside, their counter person told me he had never heard this before. (What does that have to do with right now?) He made no offering of a refund or free anything, an offer which I generally think is ridiculous because why offer me something that clearly already made me sick. It's like the nasty hotels where you have a bad experience and they offer you a free room to make it all better. I had a friend with an issue at this same location. She ordered a pizza when it was still light outside before daylight savings time so around 4:30 p.m. and we waited and waited. She called them the next morning and they claimed that they attempted to deliver it around 9:45 but no one answered the door - REALLY? The pizza is ok when it isn't poison but who waits 5 hours for a $20 pizza order. They charged her credit card since she was an online member despite having delivered nothing. Had to contact the corporate office to get a refund because the location manager was very foul and rude. He actually said he was not refunding her money and she would need to see the general manager and hung up on her. He may have been having a bad day but his customer service skills were nonexistent. She did call the GM and she did get a refund and she never orders from the Seaside Round Table anymore which was too bad because she planned all of the parties at work and now we have to have costco pizza which is ok but without much of a selection. Gianni's in Monterey is a much better place and likewise other Round Tables like the one in P.G. - waaaay better than nasty Seaside Round Table. read more

Beware of this place ! Tonight, we were having a graduation celebration for 4 8th graders and about 20 other people. We made a reservation and we assured that the tables and chairs would be provided. When we got there, half our party was sitting down already and there were NO other seats available. My wife went to the manager and asked for more seats. His reply was, " we don't have any more seats " My wife replies, " but we had a reservation for 20". He said if we didn't like it we could just leave. Really ? Its my step sons celebration and this rude manager, MARCO says this to my wife ? And one more thing. We ordered our pizza and after waiting 45 min, I check to see when the pizza will be ready. I was told that they didn't even start making my pizza and it would be at least another 45 min. At that point i just asked for my money back. The general manager ( older Hispanic man) is such a jerk!!! He came up to our table to tell us that our niece couldn't get soda in a water cup, which she did by accident and we had just told her seconds before he walked up to our table that she should t have done that. He then proceeded to tell us that we can't share our cups with our spouses or in my case my 4 year old son who was taking a drink from my cup. He then started counting all of our cups, and again said there's no sharing and walked away. I went up to the counter to pay for accidental drink my niece got, and as I was standing there waiting to pay, he had his back to me and was bad mouthing us to another employee. He turned around surprised to see me standing there, I payed, gave him a dirty look and walked away. Too bad we had just received our pizza, otherwise we would have left right then and there. I guess after spending over $70 there he would have just been kind enough to say something for next time! But I guarantee you there won't be a next time! I also remember him saying something to us the last time we were there too because we getting ranch dressing for our pizza, we had to pay for it too because we didn't know they charged for it. I wish I could give this place no star at all. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever experienced in my life. I called in to order a pizza, and was told it would take 45 minutes to arrive. The pizza never arrives! I call in, but noone answers the phone! The next day I call in to see what the problem was, and to be sure that they did not charge my credit card. I am directed to the manager and think, "Oh cool this is going to get sorted out." Boy was I wrong! He proceeds to tell me that my order was not in the system which would explain why it was not delivered. Instead of saying I am sorry for the confusion he continues to blame me for the order not being in the system. I keep telling him to ask the employee that was working at the time about it, but he insists that it is my fault! I tell him well you just lost a very regular customer. He responds "well good, I do not want a customer like you anyways!", and proceeds to hang up. Who treats people like that?! Not only are you the most expensive pizza place, but in economic times you are just willing to lose a regular customer? Not very nice people at all. I brought my three children into the restaurant, and ordered 2 #3's.(personal pizza and a drink) The cashier(Margarito C.) charged me for 2 #1's(personal pizza, SALAD, and a drink) I then pointed out that he had overcharged me.(he was flustered) He said:"just eat out of the buffet!" I was a little uncomfortable with this, but he was busy taking care of a bunch of different things at once and appeared to be irritable, so I agreed. He gave me 2 plates, 2 cups, and 2 bowls for salad. (I and one of my kids already had take out from Panda Express next door) We went to the buffet, and my 9 yr. old son and 6 yr. old daughter got their pizza. I then figured that since I had payed for salad, I would go ahead and get some salad, which I did. As we were sitting down, Margarito C. approached our table, and said: "4 can't eat out of this!" I turned around and said, since I payed for the salad, and my kids won't eat salad, I helped myself to some salad!" I PAID for the SALAD! What business is it of his WHO eats it? I then said: "First of all, you took my order wrong, would you like to re-ring my order up correctly, and take the salad back with you?" He then proceeded to get very upset, and said: "Who's gonna pay for all THIS?" I said:" I'm NOT." He then told us to: "GET OUT!! I refuse you give service to you!!" He refunded my money, and said I needed to leave! My six year old girl left with tears streaming down her face!!! We were humiliated, disrespected, and embarrassed by him!!! I took my three children, and walked out. I don't have a problem(and never have had) a problem paying for my food! HE is the one who not only messed up my order, but then TOLD us to go to the buffet in the first place! He was TOTALLY rude, out of line! this entire incident was his fault! To make matters worse, I think he was the manager because he was yelling at the other employee in the back while I stood there, waiting for my order to be taken. Needless to say, I will NEVER, EVER go to this Round Table again!
