Had pizza delivered for dinner one night last week. Round Table was a favorite of mine for many years, but I hadn't eaten there in a long time because I found a couple other Willow Glen pizza places that are delicious, too. But it was nice returning to my old go-to fave. I ordered two personal pizzas. One was gourmet veggie, which has all sorts of goodness on it like artichoke hearts, zucchini, spinach, and more with white sauce. Mmm, I could eat that every day. The second one was a build-your-own. I had them put Italian sausage on it, plus red onions, roasted garlic, and mushrooms with red sauce. It was okay, but I definitely would not want to eat it every day. Everything went smoothly. The pizzas arrived in about 45 minutes, were warm, and had plenty of toppings. I was walking around the Willow Glen area of San Jose when I stumbled upon this round table location. I haven't eaten lunch yet, so I gave it a try. The cashier was absolutely kind and funny. It set off that welcoming atmosphere not to mention clean tables and a well lit restaurant (the older locations still remind me of a dark dungeon tavern with the low lighting and 1980's tables (not here!) This pizza right here is called the King Arthur's supreme that is stacked with pepperoni, Italian sausage, salami, linguica, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, black olives on zesty red sauce. Right above my pizza is their garlic Parmesan twist an excellent choice that goes well with your pizza. This is my go to pizza any time I visit a Round Table establishment but this specific pizza I ordered was THE BEST King Arthur's Supreme I'd ever had! The photo speaks for itself but the taste was phenomenal. Compliments to the chef! This was a clear reminder to my tastebuds what pizza royalty tastes like. read more

I first attempted to order online looking for a place to insert my coupon code for "$8 off an xtra large pizza" from the "Lincoln Ave Deals" page: https://www.roundtablepizza.com/location/16/ I did not see a place for a discount so attempted to call. After a couple of rings it went silent, no one was answering, no place to leave a message. I hung up and ordered online trying to find a place to put my coupon code but was unsuccessful. In the end, I placed the order online and would deal with the discount in store. Fast forward to coming in to pick up my pizza, I explained the situation and showed the cashier my coupon. She stated since I had already purchased the pizza, I could not get a refund. I asked for her to elaborate and she change the subject asking if I needed plates, cheese, peppers etc. I asked again why I could not get my coupon amount refunded and explained, I attempted to call and no one answered and online did not have any option to place the discount code. We were going in circles where I just took my order and left. There was a line building behind me and I did not want to deal with a cashier who did not know how to give a refund (which IS possible and necessary when running a business). The pizza is amazing!! Their soda machine is seriously lacking though... half the drinks were out of order and the Pepsi was flat. A real waste of money. I saw people buying 2-liter bottles. They must be regulars and know what's up. lol The place is pretty cramped in the main area especially when they have a long line, but they have more seating and a bar just past another door. The message I'm getting from this Round Table Pizza is that if you want a hot pizza, you had better tip. Because if you DON'T tip, you get a lukewarm pizza. Same thing has happened to me three times now. I call in a pizza and I go to pick it up. I'm a retired senior citizen on a limited income. If I pick up a pizza, I don't feel the need to tip. Apparently that's not allowed at this Round Table location. And they give you not one, not two, but THREE opportunities to tip. It's on the Verifone device when you use your card where they will helpfully add your tip. It's on the paper receipt that prints out. And there's a bucket marked "Tips." Unfortunately, senior citizens are not welcome here. Limited income people are not welcome here. Here's what they do. They take the order. They see that you don't leave a tip. So they tell you "your pizza will just be a minute" or five minutes or whatever. Then...they ignore you. And why shouldn't they? You didn't tip. Yes roundtable is more expensive than other places, but it's worth it! The toppings are much more fresh, And most importantly, it (tastes better than anywhere else.) This location is a lot better than other round tables, they make the pizza with more toppings, filled all the way to the crust. Also, they give better local coupons. Don't get me wrong, the pizza is good, but it darn better be for that price. My bf loves the garlic parmesan twists ($11 for 6). This is our favorite Round Table! We have gone to the Round Table on White Rd and the pizza is usually good but the salad is always old and brown, it's been covered in gnats a couple times, I got a refund but I really wanted that salad! So when we come here we know it will always be good! Food is always hot and fresh, the salad is always cold and crispy and the staff are always nice. It's a pretty small dining area but we haven't been here when it was really busy so it's perfect for us. Oh and it's always really clean, tables are clean, bathroom is clean and those are super important to me! read more

I've always heard that the Willow Glen roundtable is the best in the area. I've had decent luck other times but tonight not so good. I go to pick up my pizza and while I don't add a tip for my TO GO pizza, the cashier goes and throws a handful of green onions on my pizza to ruin it. Then squishes the lid down into the pizza so that they squish to the point that they get stuck on the lid. Then hands it to me with a big grin. I hope these workers get penalized for their poor behavior and poor customer service. Call me old school but putting a pizza in a box does not warrant a tip. read more

Live in Willow Glen and come here time to time. Its a small place that's been here forever. Recently remodeled with a more modern finish. At times they have a live band outside and connected to a place next door that serves beer. Round Table makes a classic American style pizza I've had since I was a kid. The crust is thick and a bit doughey but its always been like that. Lots of toppings and 3 pieces is very filling for me. You wont leave here hungry. Employees are very friendly, and speak English well, which is becoming rarer these days. Place is kept clean at most times I have been in there. Usually pizza places like this are dirty with beer and grease left on the tables but not here. They can turn out a pizza, even at peak hours, pretty quickly. I call in my order 10-15 minutes ahead of time and its usually ready when I get there. The food is a bit on the pricey side, but it's in Downtown Willow Glen, an upscale area, so that's to be expected. Overall pretty good and would recommend if you like this style pizza. read more

After ordering a pizza ($42 for a medium chicken pizza with, onions, bell peppers, olives, mushrooms, and green onions) and becoming sick (Diarrhea and nausea) I phoned and asked to speak to a manager about my experience. No one followed up With me even though I called FOUR different times. Not sure what is going on with the service at this location or the complete disregard, but I will never patron here. I remember how the location in my hometown had personal TVs at each table, which you could set to the channel of your choice. I didn't remember anything about the pizza, and I wondered why, until I had it again recently for this pizza quest. This pizza is very average. The crust was bland, the sauce was quite zesty (which I don't prefer), and the cheese had no character. The only redeeming things about our Ulti-Meat pizza were the toppings. Those premium meats were some of the best toppings I've ever had, but they'll cost you extra, too. I'm not really a fan of peppers on pizza, or many other veggies for that matter, so the only other pizza I'd be willing to try here is the Hawaiian pizza (fight me). I'm not sure if it'd be worth it, but at least it would be cheaper than the Ulti-Meat (~$23, I think). read more

This is now the high ranking Round Table in my world. I would drive 30 minutes and pass up a dozen Round Tables just for this one. The pizza that they churn out is too good. Needed a quick last minute pizza order and it was late! Luckily this place was still open. I ordered a half pepperoni and sausage and half Hawaiian. Right away they told me they had a deal were the 2nd pizza would be free! So, they offered to make just one of each instead of 50/50. Normally it's a crazy busy area but it was late so I got front row parking. I was in and out quick. Pizza was amazing! Toppings were spread nice and even and well portioned. Sharing an experience that happened to my friend while I was at their house because (1) they don't have a Yelp account and (2) it was pretty wild listening in on the phone call. Please enjoy this fantastic story about a pizza delivery gone awry... Beyond frustrated with what I just experienced at this particular Round Table. A simple phone call to see if I could pick up extra ranch turned into me getting cussed at and insulted. The manager on duty, who refused to give his name, was obviously stressed about something and decided to take out his frustration on a customer. I asked for extra ranch (because I had ordered a large pizza,) was charged $2, and received one small container. I didn't care about the extra charge but there were several people at the house who all wanted ranch. So I was simply calling to see if I could come pick up more. Since the order had been delivered, it made more sense for me to quickly run over and and pick it up. As I'm trying to explain all this to the manager, he cuts me off and says "we were giving out free ranch in the past, we're not giving out free ranch anymore." I tried to tell him that I'm OK with paying extra; when I placed the order I had asked for 2-3 extra ranches, yet received only 1. Before I was even halfway done with my sentence he cuts me off and says "dude, you're complaining about a side of ranch... you really have nothing better to do than complain about a $2 charge and a side of ranch?" This was the moment that I realized "oh this person is trying to pick a fight with me." He was super aggressive and not listening to anything I was saying. I said "look I understand," even tried to empathize that he had a long day, and that I just needed 2 more ranches; that I ordered them over the phone and didn't receive the amount that I ordered and just wanted some more. (Keep in mind, I literally was willing to drive and pick them up, AND PAY FOR THEM. I never, at any point during this conversation, asked for refund). Somehow the "manager" did not seem to understand this fact so I guess there's some communication issues that need to be fixed there... I told him "all I wanted was some extra ranch and to give you some feedback, not give you a hard time." He proceeded to give me this excuse: "people are new and don't know the system yet." To which I responded, "that's training development, you just have to work on consistency. If extra ranch means 1 to one employee, but another employee thinks it means 2, 3, or 4, customers are obviously going to complain." I'm sure he took even more offense to this because, most likely, he's the training manager. He then tells me that I'm not going to be reimbursed (for the third time) and asks if I have nothing better to do than give feedback and complain about ranch. Basically mocking me again for complaining, which was pretty ridiculous at this point after all the attempted communication. He then hangs up on me. After trying to figure out what on earth just happened, I called back to ask for the owner's name along with the manager's name. You can guess how that interaction went. He continued to ridicule me while using inappropriate language. He also read aloud my full name and address, which is pretty disconcerting. I asked him if he was threatening me to which he did not respond and instead hung up. This was honestly a laughable experience, up until he said my full name over the phone. After that I was concerned that this angry employee who obviously has some aggressive and confrontational issues knows where I live. I'm in the process of reaching out to the chamber of commerce, corporate, or any other channels I can, just to get the attention of the owner because this is not how a business should be run. To the owner: hopefully you're reading this and can contact me. This is unacceptable behavior by someone who is representing your company and is an extension of who you are. no one should have to go through what i just went through. No one should talk to a customer, let alone a regular person, like that. I'm not even hungry anymore, just concerned that your employee will do something malicious because of something so petty. The time stamp of the manger on duty is Thursday at 8pm, on 1/6/22. I sincerely hope you prevent future interactions like this. We placed our ordered 20 mins before heading in which made it very nice and easy when getting there. It was busy here tonight but we were still able to get a table and enjoy ourselves. No one can serve a beer. Not old enough. Waited 40 minutes for my pizza with no beer as I wanted. The pizza wasn't worth the wait.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. We have been going to this round table for over 20 years. Never once did I have an issue. The worst thing is I had to wait an hour and twenty minutes. No biggie, the pizza arrived hot and fresh. On 10/15 I ordered a pizza at about 5:30pm. They lady on the phone said about an hour and thirty minutes. So about 7:15pm rolls around and nothing. At 7:30 I called and the same lady that took my order didn't know where my pizza was. She told me to call back at 8pm. Trying to be understanding I called at 8pm and they still had no idea where the pizza was at. I asked to speak to a manager and they said he's busy at the moment and puts me on hold. This same woman told me that it was someone else who took my order and and that she hasn't been on the phone all day. I called her out and said it was you that took my order and put me on hold. Five minutes later she picks up the phone and asked me why I was still on hold. A guy gets on the phone and asked me for an order number, well I ordered with my phone number. He had no clue what was going on. They apparently gave some of the orders out to door dash and don't track where they are. I asked for a refund and they just took my info and said that the manager will call me on Saturday. Saturday no call and no refund. Sunday I had to call them back and was able to get a manager. Two weeks and still no refund. They have lost my business. There was no apologies or sorry for the inconvenience. They made me feel like I was bothering them with this issue. Nobody there has any clue. ***UPDATE*** Today it's 11/1/21. It took me two days to get a hold of the manager of this location. I was told on 10/17/21 that he was going to put the refund to the credit card company. He also said it would take 5-7 days to see that money refunded back. Today when he finally called me back he told me he forgot to put the refund into the credit card company. Definitely not ordering from this location ever again. read more
